5 Movies/TV Shows I think Deserve Reboots

So it seems like movies are getting re-booted every few minutes. Whether it be like 500 versions of Spiderman or some classic TV movie reboots that are in the works or a sequel to an old classic... some of these don't quite deserve to be rebooted... but there are a few I think really deserve another reboot or a sequel or something extra. The movies might have been good, but I don't think they all did them just right... so for that... here's some reboot ideas.

1) Get Smart- I didn't dislike the Steve Carell/ Anne Hathaway movie that came out a few years ago... but I feel like when you're re-booting a movie that already has a really funny and exciting source material it can be a little bit tricky. There were talks of a sequel... but I think they could do it a little better. I can imagine Jonah Hill writing it and Maybe Joel McHale or Ty Burrel for Maxwell and for Agent 99 I could see Abbi Jacobsen, Emma Stone, Amy Adams, Isla Fisher or Jenna Fisher. Maybe even Zooey Deschannel... Idk I think it would be cool. There is a lot that can be done with this movie that I just don't think was there.

2) Ghost Rider- I love the original Ghost Rider Movie. I even thought the second movie was a ton of fun. I liked Nicholas Cage and Eva Mendez... I love the character of Ghost Rider and the story. I just thought it was really cool. It was largely hated by critics... and even when I re-watch it... I can see it was definitely not a good movie. I still love it and think its good... but all in all I know it is deep down a bad movie. I think if they cast someone a little younger and maybe a male and female lead that actually had chemistry together... it could be good. I think this would be good if Netflix did a show on it. I feel like with Jessica Jones and Daredevil... they should expand their Marvel Knights tv shows and do The Punisher and Ghost Rider. I think I would cast Daniel Radcliffe as Ghost Rider and Rachel McAdams as the female love interest. I think Daniel Radcliffe was a good choice for Ig in Horns, although I didn't love the movie compared to the book and I feel like he would really capture Johnny Blaze well also. I didn't see True Detective Season 2 and I know maybe not everyone agrees with Rachel McAdams as a choice... but I can see her with Daniel Radcliffe and I feel like she'd be a good match for him. Idk.

3) Soap- This is a great show from the 70s ... maybe 80s that I'm not totally sure would be quite as funny if they made a movie of it today... but I feel like it could definitely work and if they kept the same insane story lines and over the top acting and great jokes it would be wonderful. Jessica Walter would 100% Play Jessica Tate. There are a lot of great actors that could be Benson... Anthony Anderson, the guy that played Mosby on The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, The guy from Animal Control on Parks and Rec, Ron Funchs. For Corrine I'm thinking Judy Greer and the other daughter... Idk. Neil Patrick Harris as the guy with the dummy. Andy Samberg would be good in it... there are a lot of people on the show that are important and I think if Paul Feig and Katie Dippold were thinking of doing another reboot... this would be a good show to do!

And you don't hear a lot about it... so thats good. Its a really funny show.

4) The Princess Diaries- Don't get me wrong... I love the Anne Hathaway version and I heard there are possible fake rumors of there being another Princess Diaries movie... which I'd be okay with... but I would love to see a TV series on The CW or something. These books really show what its like to be a teenager, and I grew up with them and think they would be so good for kids to see on TV and watch and get addicted to as well. I think that book series translate well into tv shows and this would be a good one to do. I'd also love if it followed the books and kept it a little less Disney than it was. Also they need to include Mia's group of friends because they're just amazing.

5) Harry Potter... kind of- So I don't really want a Harry Potter reboot, but I would kind of like to see a tv show of just a normal kid's life going to Hogwarts... cause I'm sure there's still a lot of adventure for ordinary wizards and it would just be fun to see more of Hogwarts. With all the Harry Potter play's and Fantastic Beasts movies coming out, I'd love to just see something at Hogwarts.

And that is it for right now. I probably have more suggestions and more reboots I'd like to see... but for now I think this is it! I'll do more of these... if I feel fitting... but right now this is all it is! Hope something of these gets made!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
