It List: March 2014!

These are so my favorite posts. I love things that I'm super into at a certain time, I love looking back and comparing. I just like this. So on with the show... or blog post.

1) Breaking Bad- Ohhhh my gosh. Breaking frickin bad. I cannot tell you how obsessed I am with this show... but let me try. I started watching it a few months back and I only saw the first 2 episodes... but it was pretty much the best thing ever. I had to take a little break from it because I didn't have Netflix for a while... but now I have it and its awesome. I just started season 2 which is where shit starts to get real... I have some midterms this week... and Idk how I'm going to get them done. All I want to do is watch Breaking Bad. I really hope I get a snow day on Monday just so that I can watch Breaking Bad all day! ... wow at the beginning of the month I started watching this and writing this blog. I'm already on season 4 now! That's how good this show is!

2) @Midnight on Comedy Central- I didn't even know this existed till a few days ago. This is a game show where celebrities comment on crazy things mostly that happen on the internet. It's kind of like Bunk and Who's Line, but its also more interactive. They always do a hashtag during the show, so you can tweet your versions of what the comedians are saying and possibly get featured on the show. One hashtag they had was "drunk films" and I did "When Harry Met Sally, Slept With Her, then Forgot Her Name." I'm quite proud of it. I should also mention that one of my followers is Senator Cory Booker... so he might have seen it... lol. (I don't want this to sound scandalous. I live in Newark and started following Rutgers Newark twitters and Cory Booker followed Newarkians while he was mayor... so it makes sense.) One of the best comedians on the show is my newest woman crush: Natasha Leggerio.

3) Irish Soda Bread- This is always a favorite, especially this time of year. I mean you can get this stuff year round at most bakeries I think... but I like to have it as my special March treat for St. Patrick's Day. I never tried this as a kid because I thought "ewww why would they put soda in bread." No one in my family ever argued... probably because they wanted it all to themselves lol. Wait till I get my hands on the Bailey's mwhahahaha.

My tip for this, put a little bit of butter in it and just put it in the microwave for a few seconds, no more than 30. It melts the butter and makes it nice and warm and delicious.

4) Shamrock Shakes- I love McDonald's Shamrock Shakes! I think I like the novelty of it more than I actually like the taste of it... but I do happen to love the taste a lot! Its a regular vanilla shake but with peppermint flavor and green food coloring. I sound like I'm such a big St. Patrick's day fan now lol. I just like the food... and the drinking. Although I've never really gone out to drink on St. Patricks Day. I live near a town with a lot of Irish pubs and places like that... so it's pretty crazy there in March. Not even St. Patrick's Day... just March in general lol. So yeah... what was I talking about? Shamrock Shakes are good!

5) Bodycology Sugar Body Scrub- Forgot to put this in my favorites last month... but holy crap guys this stuff is awesome. It's a really nice exfoliant thats only like $5.99 and I think it works better than the wayyy more expensive Bath and Body Works ones. I have the Vanilla scent, they have another one that sounds like it might smell like Twilight Woods or something like that. It's awesome. It comes in a big tub, but honestly just a little bit goes a lonnnnnnng way. I'll probably do a nighttime routine with this in it because its so frickin good!

6)  Victoria Secret Pink Sunkissed- I love this scent in Spring and summer... and right now I think we really need a little bit of summer in our lives. It is so freaking cold. This has kind of been my go too the past few days because I need to feel a sunkissed glow. Its scent is supposed to be "coconut water and sunny vanilla." The scent is a bit more complicated to me. You know those Barbie Dolls that are in bathing suits and are beach barbies and they smell like tanning oil. As a kid I thought when I was a grown up I would smell something like that while on vacation... and thats what I think this is. It's a grown up spring break barbie type of scent. I quite enjoy it. I just have the little travel sized... may need to upgrade that soon because it's getting low :(

7) Pure Seduction In Bloom VS Fantasies- This also smells quite amazing. Victoria Secret has a couple limited edition "in Bloom" scents that smell like the original scents but more floral. They just have Pure Seduction and Love Spell. I liked them both, I bought the shower gel, lotion, hand cream, body mist for Pure Seduction and the Body Mist for Love Spell. I'm not a fan of the Original Pure Seduction scent, but I loved this one! I love the Original Love Spell too... I loved the fragrance of that also so I got it. It smells like springtime. There's no better way to describe it. The Packaging is super pretty too, I'll insert a pic here too!

8) Pharell's "Happy"- You must be a miserable person if you hate this song. I've loved it since DM2 first came out. Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 are my two favorite movies, so obviously I'm gonna love it. I thought Adele Dazeem did a great job at the oscars, but Pharell really killed it. He wore shorts on the red carpet! And his signature Hat (Hat needs to be capitalized.)

9) Windsor Long Printed Sweaters- I don't think I had ever bought anything from Windsor before but this is my new obsession! They have long flowy cardigans with the cutest prints on them! I noticed that they had a star print that looked a lot like a wild fox sweater... didn't get that one yet but I did get an adorable black one with a daisy pattern on it and a white one with a tulip pattern on it. Originally they were 24.90 which I totally would have paid for them and thought it was a great deal... but luckily for me they were on sale for 14. 90 so I was quite happy with that. They're really cute and warm and I just love them!

10) The Muppets- I love the muppets! I'm sooooo excited for the new Muppet Movie to come out on Friday! You have no idea! I think that a person's favorite Muppet says a lot about them as a person. My favorites are Statler and Waldord and Miss Piggy. Who are your favorites?

That is all the hot things of right now! I'll try to post a couple movie reviews soon if I get around to it. I'm enjoying my spring break and my blog break, but I still have some ideas and stuff... so yeah!

Byeeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
