RANKING EVERY LOVE INTEREST FROM THE SHOW FRIENDS!

Hello guys! So I was watching friends and... I was like "you know I used to not like Emily- but now when I'm watching it again- I think Emily's episodes are some of my favorites." So I'm ranking all 25 of the returning love interests. I included mostly people that were in more than 2 episodes... but there were a few I made exceptions for because they seemed like they belonged on this list anyway.

We'll start with the worst and then go all the way up to number 1. I took mostly into consideration how they helped the season, how they acted towards the person they dated and the other friends... and overall how interesting and memorable they were all around.

25- Kate- I bet you're looking at this list going "Who's Kate?" That's why she's on the bottom of this list unfortunately. She and Joey co star in a play together. Kate is dating the director- but while trying to run lines and practice chemistry with Joey- they end up sleeping together... and Joey ends up really falling for her... but Kate moves away for another acting job. She never really treats Joey that well, plus she seems like she's just more interested in the director that she's dating. Her first episode was also "The One With The Tiny T Shirt"- so there was a lot of Ross and Rachel stuff going on that kind of took away from Kate and Joey's story. This arch lasts about 4 episodes and there are some really funny scenes in it- but overall I feel like she's the one everyone forgets about.

24- Danny- Danny was a weird character in the show at a weird time. He was Rachel's love interest in Season 5's "The One With The Yeti" where Rachel sprays him with bugspray because she thinks he's some sort of Yeti because he has a lot of hair. Then he asks Rachel for coffee... and in the next episode he doesn't seem interested in her at all- and then Monica ends up asking Danny out for Rachel... but then Danny's sister is in town and he has a very strange relationship with her which Rachel can't really handle so she dumps him. It seems like each episode this guy was someone totally different and... the resolution with his sister was just kind of creepy.

23- Fun Bobby- Fun Bobby wasn't a bad boyfriend but he wasn't the most interesting... he was only in 2 episodes- but there was sort of a relationship established between him and Monica- so I thought he belonged on the list too. The funny thing is that even though he's a fun guy- the 2 episodes we see him in... he's not very fun! In "The One With The Monkey" he's at the New Year's Eve Party with Monica, but he's upset that his grandmother just passed away... so he isn't fun there. And in "The One With Russ" he's giving up drinking and he's really kind of dull. I would have liked to see one episode where he was kind of fun but... they never brought him back.

22- Gary- Gary probably would have been the last on my list if it was based off of personality alone. He seems totally normal while he and Phoebe are dating, and actually his first episode "The One With The Cop" is one of the funniest episodes with Ross's most iconic line of the series very likely... PIVOT! Anyway Gary and Phoebe meet when Phoebe finds a badge and starts impersonating a cop- and they continue dating and have a funny competition for who's the hotter couple. Unfortunately- Gary moves in with Phoebe pretty early on in the relationship and as their lying down and a bird is heard chirping... he shoots the bird and Phoebe leaves him. It was a really sad and kind of scary way to end the arch... but I did like the episodes Gary was in.

21- Julia- Poor Julia. At least she had a happy ending with Russ! She was the girl that Ross reconnected with while he was on a dig in China when Rachel realized that she loved Ross. And of corse- Ross ended up kissing Rachel before he had dumped Julia... and he did end up choosing Rachel over Julia... only for Rachel to find out he made a pros and cons list about her... and she couldn't get together with him after that. Julie definitely made things exciting in season 2... but it wasn't quite as exciting as when Ross and Rachel finally did get together.

20- Janine- Janine is another one that would probably be on the bottom of the list personality wise because she didn't get along with Monica and Chandler. Janine actually only dates Joey for one episode... but she's his roommate for 5 episodes so... that's something! There are like 3 holidays during that time too so she's there for Thanksgiving and a sort of Christmas/New Years episode. She's a hot dancer and she seems really nice... but one night Joey and Janine go on a double date with Monica and Chandler and she says that Chandler is Blah and Monica is Loud... so she doesn't like them... and her and Monica get into a fight!

19- Gavin- Gavin AKA Super Gavin. It's funny because on New Girl he's probably one of my favorite love interests and on this show- he's one of my least favorites. Dermott Mulroney plays the guy that takes over Rachel's job when she is on Maternity leave, and he's a big jerk at first but then he gets her a scarf for her birthday and they kiss. It was just weird- I don't think he and Rachel really would have been a match because Rachel had a baby by then and I think she would have needed someone more serious... and I don't think Gavin really wanted to help raise a kid with her... so it just wasn't going to work out... but he was a nice enough guy and his episodes were pretty good. I forget about him as a love interest a lot of the time though because really- they never dated.

18- Bonnie- Phoebe's friend Bonnie that shaves her head... but she stopped shaving her head and dated Ross when they all went to the house in Montauk. Bonnie pretty much only talked about sex and I think she was good to help Ross get over Rachel... but of corse Ross and Rachel were not over each other and they end up back together for one episode at the beginning of Season 4... well kind of I guess. She was funny and Christine Taylor did a really great job.

17- Kathy- Kathy was a kind of bad girlfriend to both Joey and Chandler... she cheats on both of them! The creators said they liked the actress that played Kathy and wanted to bring her back but there was never really a time... but I don't really think there was a way to bring her back really. It was nice to see a longer girlfriend character for Joey and for Chandler since there aren't a lot of them.

16- Joshua- Another season 4 character... I kind of liked seeing how into Joshua Rachel was... and he had some good episodes- but overall I thought Joshua was kind of a blah forgettable boyfriend. I can see why Rachel scared him away though.

15- Elizabeth Hornswoggle- Elizabeth Hornswoggle might have only been in one episode for a few seconds but she has such a funny name she has to be higher on this list than so many great memorable characters, right? Actually wrong. I had Gavin written down on the list twice... but I think he is where he belongs and rather than changing everything I'm just going to throw in Elizabeth Hornswoggle because I love that episode and Ross's leather pants are really funny... so I would say she's 15 on this list still lol.

14- Paolo- Again personality wise- Paolo is probably the worst boyfriend... but he caused a lot of the excitement for the first season of the show... so he definitely deserves a higher spot on the list. He probably cheated on Rachel for their whole relationship, and Rachel was really starting to like him and he grabbed Phoebe's butt... plus he ditched Rachel on New Year's Eve... so he's just not good.

13- Barry- Barry added some excitement for season 1, season 2's finale and Season 6's The One That Could Have Been. Barry was going to marry Rachel even though he was already cheating on her with Mindy. Plus it's creepy that he kept wanting all his women to go to Aruba with him... weird guy... but he did add to the show.

12- Paul - Not Paul the Wine Guy, but Paul the Bruce Willis guy. It was exciting to see Bruce Willis on 3 episodes of the show... plus The One Where Paul Is The Man was really funny. He wasn't a great match for Rachel and he was pretty mean to Ross when Ross was dating his daughter... but these are fun episodes.

11- Elizabeth- Elizabeth is the student that Ross dates. I actually think she's really funny and I really like watching her episodes in season 6. She just misses the top 10 because... there are a few I like better.

10- Mona- Ross is SOOO goofy when he's dating Mona. I kind of would have liked to see her back on the show maybe dating Joey or something... idk but she was so supportive of Ross when he was having a baby with Rachel... there are just a lot of funny moments that happen with Ross and Mona... and she was so normal but she was in a weird relationship with a weird guy at a weird time... she definitely was not boring though.

9- Tag- Tag Jones- Rachel's handsome younger assistant that she ends up dating in Season 7. I think Tag is maybe one of the best looking men on this list... so he sort of has extra points for that. Plus he's really funny and he and Rachel are funny and cute together. The One Where They're Up All Night is kind of an underrated episode that he's very funny in.

8- Carol- Ross's first wife and the mother of his son, Carol of corse is high up on this list. I kind of wish she and Susan were in the show a little more. Their wedding episode was really cute and funny and... overall Carol was a great friend to Ross. She even listened to his side of the story during his breakup with Rachel. She's a good person and a good mom even though she kind of messed up Ross's future relationships.

7- Pete- Pete Becker is really high up on this list... but I think he has the funniest ending out of everyone on the list. I really love that he HAS to become the Ultimate Fighting Champion. It's just really funny. Plus it's John Favreau and he gave us Baby Yoda so... I don't see how he can't be in the top 10.

6- Emily- Alright- Emily... While she isn't my favorite person... I do really like the episodes that she's in and everything that it creates along with it. Monica and Chandler got together at Ross's wedding to her...that was something! Plus Ross really did love her which was sweet and I think she made Ross a more spontaneous and fun person. Personality wise she gets a little crazy towards the end of the 4th season and through all of her episodes in the fifth season... but I do really like the episodes she's in and I think she bought a lot to the show.

5- Richard- The top 5 are more for people that felt like they were part of the gang... and Richard definitely does. He loves being around Monica, he even watches Phoebe's shows at Central Perk... he's not a bad guy! But... when Chandler is about to propose to Monica and Richard wants to get back together with Monica... I would say he's a very bad guy. He should have known that Chandler is a good guy and to back off. Overall- I still like Richard and he's important so he's in the top 5!

4- Charlie- Charlie was actually a good character. She does really care about Joey and I think she was happy with how sweet he was... but ultimately she did have a lot more in common with Ross and it was hard to deny that there was an attraction there. I also feel like she ended up with who she was supposed to end up with on the show... even though it was a bit crazy... it was still a good way to wrap up her character and get Ross and Rachel back together.

3- Mike- Phoebe's husband Mike is of corse very high up on this list... although he is not my favorite of Phoebe's love interests... I am glad that they ended up together because he's kind of just as silly as Phoebe- but he's also just as smart and kind. Paul Rudd fit in with the cast really well and it's really sweet to see how much he loved Phoebe.

2- David- David was still sweeter and Phoebe probably should have ended up with him because he loved her since season 1 and... they just have a really sad and fun romance. Plus he's a really funny and awkward character too. Like it's hard for me to choose between Mike and David but ultimately... David was the sweetest guy any of the friends had ever dated and I always feel like he deserved a better ending or something.

1- Janice- Obviously.. Janice is the #1 answer here. Janice really was kind of a 7th or 8th friend (if you count Gunther). Every scene she's in from the very beginning are definitely scene stealing moments... I started watching friends in the later seasons so the first episode I saw with Janice was "The One Where Rachel has a Baby" so I didn't even really see her as a love interest until a lot later... but Janice is just always funny and I like to think she still runs into all the friends from time to time. Plus she's the only one with a catchphrase- so that's cool!

Alright... that is my long list of the best love interests for Friends... I think I want to do at least one post about friends a month just because I like the show so much and especially now in quarantine I've been watching it a lot more.

Bye!
-Shannon

Scribbles About TV: Jane The Virgin Finale Review (SPOILERS)

So.... Can we talk about all the twists because there were a lot! I didn't even see all of them coming! Alrighty we start out in typical Jane The Virgin Mode with Jane's choice between Raphael and Michael... I'd be okay with either but I think I'm team Michael. Jane has a weird moment with Raphael and thinks she's better off without him and just having him be the father of her child. She's also starting to have some feelings for Michael again. Then she almost has the baby on the bus and some woman helps her and gets the bus driver to take her to the hospital. Rogellio and Xo are in Vegas and they get drunk and can't remember what happens, but they make it just in time to see Jane deliver a baby boy. I knew it would be a boy! Lets pause on that a little and go to Michael and his ex partner/friend with benefits who comes back says she has a lead on Sin Rostro, gives him an address where the plastic surgeon is and by the time Michael gets there, he's de

Disney Store Closing Haul

So if you read my post from yesterday- you know that I love The Disney Store, but it is unfortunately closing. I did pick up some things from the store that I thought I'd share with you guys! I did get a couple of t shirts. One is a Star Wars shirt, which is technically a men's shirt but I thought it looked really cool and I don't like that Disney doesn't carry the same things for men and for women. For the most part they look unisex to me and a lot of their men's stuff has characters I like better. Like the star wars shirt for women was grey with pink lettering and had no pictures, but the mens shirt had a really cool metallic silver logo on black clothing with pictures of all the new characters and Luke inside of the letters... much cooler! So I got that! The other shirt I got is really funny and it has Sleeping Beauty on it and it says "I Woke Up Like This." Which I really liked! Super cute and funny and my niece likes it when I wear shirts with c

Scribbles About Life: 3.10.16

Soooo... I don't really want to post about my day... but I don't really want to post anything else either. I started writing something about female characters in movies and TV... but I just didn't like what I was writing and... idk... I was a blog writing machine this week and now I feel defeated. I wrote a ton on Monday and Tuesday and now I just don't feel like doing a post today... but I want to write still... So I'll talk about things that I guess are on my mind lately... Idk. So I got this Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor... and for some reason... I'm addicted to the way that it smells. Idk why, it smells like cherry medicine... but I also sort of like it. Its more cherry than medicine... and I can't smell it on my lips... but Idk. I keep smelling it in the tube. I got some cute stuff from American Eagle yesterday too! I got a dress and a romper... I do not own any Rompers... except this one... but it looked good on me and it didn't make me look f
