Target Tuesday: Target Haul (and kind of a fail)

Alright so I ordered from Target once again! This might not be that exciting because it's 3 things I've talked about in my Book Wish List and then 2 jewelry things- one didn't work out... so let's talk about it.

Okay... so there were 2 fails kinda sort of I guess. One was probably just because of Covid 19 shipping processes... but Target always offers something where you could have everything ship in the fewest packages possible. This still shipped in 3 of 4 packages. I think 2 of the books came together, one of the books came in another package and the jewelry pieces shipped separately... or maybe the earrings were in with the book... let me double check actually... Yes it was 4 packages. So... I still saved the dollar because you get a dollar off if you chose that- but it came in 4 packages still. I think it's great that they offer it I'm glad not everything was in a different package. But still.

So the earrings were kind of the fail. I like these earrings but they aren't something I recommend... I don't really think they're made that well and if I had seen them in person I don't think I would have bought them.

So these are tiny hoops from Universal Thread and if you can see the way it clips in... its pretty loose so it does not stay in all that well. I would not wear it to work because if I wear a headset- this will just fall right off. One Pair I have is really loose- it came in a 3 pack... so I have at least 2 pairs I think that will work most of the time but... I'm not expecting these to be very long.

So the Necklace I got is from A New Day- this is a horrible picture of it but... it's a mixed metal necklace with different little rings on it I guess. I really like how it looks. It looks different in real life than what I was expecting and I kind of like it more. It's just cute and it adds something interesting to an outfit.

So now for the three books that I got!

First off: I did get In Five Years by Rebecca Serle because I was really curious about it from the description. A girl is basically at like what would probably be considered the high point of her life- she's engaged to a man she loves, she's getting a promotion... then she sees 5 years later and she's starting a totally different job and she's with a different man and... it just sounds interesting.

I also got You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hoagle. This one has a couple about to get married and they're both trying to get the other person to end the engagement so that they don't have to pay for everything... and it sounds like they see why they fell in love with each other in the first place. It sounded funny.

And then I have Not The Girl You Marry by Andie J Christopher. This is an updated and genderswapped "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" so he's acting like a crazy person and she's trying to stay with him. It sounded cute and I loved this movie so I wanted to read a book like it.

And that is it! Hope you guys like it!

Scribbles about TV: Jane The Virgin Review!

This I think is a surprise hit, so of corse I needed to watch it for myself to see! It's been getting a lot of critical buzz because it has been reviewed as "one of the best pilots of the season" and I also have been hearing a few critics saying that they don't think it will last because the word "virgin" is in the title... which is stupid. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin and if a show is good, its good and people should watch it... plus this did bring pretty high ratings for The CW so the critics that said that can suck it! Lol. Overall I really liked this show. One thing thats been bothering me a lot about the new Fall shows is that the characters aren't interesting enough. Especially the female characters. I thought that this showed a lot of really strong female characters that were interesting. This had a pretty big cast with A LOT of stuff going on for a pilot and most of the characters were female. That is a powerful thing to see on TV...

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Scribbles About TV: Jane The Virgin Finale Review (SPOILERS)

So.... Can we talk about all the twists because there were a lot! I didn't even see all of them coming! Alrighty we start out in typical Jane The Virgin Mode with Jane's choice between Raphael and Michael... I'd be okay with either but I think I'm team Michael. Jane has a weird moment with Raphael and thinks she's better off without him and just having him be the father of her child. She's also starting to have some feelings for Michael again. Then she almost has the baby on the bus and some woman helps her and gets the bus driver to take her to the hospital. Rogellio and Xo are in Vegas and they get drunk and can't remember what happens, but they make it just in time to see Jane deliver a baby boy. I knew it would be a boy! Lets pause on that a little and go to Michael and his ex partner/friend with benefits who comes back says she has a lead on Sin Rostro, gives him an address where the plastic surgeon is and by the time Michael gets there, he's de...
