Weekly Wrap Up: 5.17.20

Favorites 

Friends Friday- OKAY SHANNON WE GET IT YOU LIKE FRIENDS! I love friends you guys! I have pretty much been watching it all day every day during the pandemic...and while that might be kind of bad... I feel like watching Friends really de-stresses me and... it's just something I feel like I need right now. With that- I've also realized I love talking about Friends... so I'm going to have a post about Friends every friday on this blog. Now I don't have any real structure to it... it's just anything Friends related. My favorite 2 episodes changed recently so that's what I've posted so far but I also have a character appreciation post coming out this friday, I have a list of shows that are like Friends... and I think I'm going to maybe comment on some fan theories and maybe write some of my own. Or I'll just talk about specific jokes and stuff... I have a lot of ideas. I may also start re-watching it from the beginning and post about the episodes... but that won't be something I'll do every single week on the blog... so it might take a long time. 

I feel like I've been more excited about writing and posting on this blog lately... my other blogs too but Friends Friday might be the most excited I've been for this! 

Scoob- I watched Scoob last night and I thought it was really good! I'll probably post my review on this on The Cozy Princess because I think that's where it belongs... but I think if you have kids its worth checking out but also even if you know a little bit about Hanna Barbera and you like Hanna Barbera... you'll like it a lot! It really connected a lot of the cartoons together and I don't really know Hanna Barbera that well... but I did appreciate all the characters and references from my knowledge of the cartoons. 

Charmed- I started watching this once I finished New Girl... and part of me is like "This is kind of boring... I'm not sure I can watch it." To "... I feel like this show is going somewhere" and now I find myself wanting to watch it. I feel like I still need a show to replace New Girl because I'm not as sure I'll watch as much of this as I could watch New Girl. It's a longer show and it's not like a funny show... plus it is very dated as far as special effects goes so... I'm not sure. 

These Baby Yoda Toys- 

I haven't ordered these yet... but these come in 2 packs for $15 I think... I saw someone in a facebook group that had ordered all of them and they look really cute together. I may order at least 1 pack of these... but which one? Ugh this is so hard you know I'm going to order them all. Lol. 

I think these might be from Hasbro? I'm not really sure. They're available for pre-order on Target's website and they're said to ship around the 25th... so idk. 


Life Scribbles 

Okay the biggest news of the week... MY ANIMAL CROSSING ISLAND IS 5 STARS BABY!!!! I feel like it's maybe the worst looking 5 star island of all time but still! It's 5 stars and it's going places! I'm probably going to post all about my island on The Cozy Princess this week but I'm so excited! I've worked really hard and I like a lot of my new areas! 

I got takeout from The Habit- which is a burger place. I ordered from Doordash and they had everything down really well! I was super impressed with how they had everything wrapped and ready to go. They also have a special where you can get 4 burgers, 4 fries and a salad for $25- which in reality is $33... soooo that wasn't too bad. 

Also this week I made cards for Mother's day... although it was late. I think I kind of recognized how to do calligraphy the right way and how to not get ink everywhere and on everything... so that was a good thing to do. I'm not the craftiest still... but I tried it and I don't think I'll share pictures now because I might do a post on them... but I still don't know if they came out that well so I'm not really sure. 

Noteworthy Snacks 

The Habit Burgers and fries- Those are damn delicious and I really liked eating it lol. 

Gold Peak Green Tea- So really the best is the Raspberry Iced Tea which tastes like candy... but this green tea is also really good. 

Asia Star Cafe- So this is in Tinton Falls NJ and it's really delicious. Got takeout from there this week and it was just so good. I know I've mentioned a lot of takeout places but we got takeout twice this week and that's exciting! 

M&Ms- Just the plain ones... idk they're really good and chocolatey. I've been having them a lot this week... 

Trix Trolls Cereal- Trix released a cereal for the Trolls World Tour Movie and they have swirls in the trix and marshmallows... I didn't get a lot of marshmallows in mine but it was pretty good! 

TV Highlights 

Single Parents might be my favorite show on TV right now... that had a really good finale. 

Also American Housewife had a good finale. 

I want to watch How To Get Away With Murder from the beginning again... but my mom said the finale was really good and worth watching so I should probably watch that. 

And The Masked Singer which is kind of just okay right now... I've been disappointed because there are so many people that aren't that famous on it. Idk. I'm excited for the finale on Wednesday. 

News and World Events 

HAMILTON IS COMING TO DISNEY PLUS ON JULY 3RD!!!!! I was really excited for it's theatrical release being the same as my 30th birthday but I can watch Hamilton all day on July 3rd and on the 4th of July. If there's one good thing in all of this... it's that I can watch hamilton all day in a couple of months. 

There were a lot of celebrity deaths this week also that were very sad. Roy of Sigfried and Roy died from Coronavirus complications, Little Richard, Jerry Stiller, and Fred Willard all passed away this week. I'm a big fan of Jerry Stiller- the Festivus episode of Seinfeld is one of the funniest things... ever. I quote that episode ALL THE TIME without even realizing it. It's so good. I need to watch Seinfeld from start to finish some time. 

Thoughts 

Find what makes you happy and get inspiration from that. Like me with my Friends Friday... I can't wait to write more and now I'm more inspired for this whole blog.

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! Uhhhh... Where Have I been?

 So it hasn't been that long- but I did mention that I wanted to keep this more of a daily-ish blog than I have in years past... and my last post was the  4th and today was the 11th. Did I give up on my resolutions already?  No/Sort of... sooo basically I was kind of considering the real start of the new year January 5th... I was very busy with work things up until the 4th... the 4th was the big work event that I had to do... and then after that I could focus on whatever I wanted to focus on... and my blogs were going to be the number 1 thing that I focused on for sure... I might miss a few days... but surely I'd do something for this blog right on the 5th after the big work thing was done... so just leading up to that as long as I post something- everything is good right?  Nope- I realized my room design... needed some refreshing. And then one project turned into several projects and then that took a few days... I think I started on doing stuff on Wednesday of last ...

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...
