Target Tuesday: Target Book Wish List

So I was thinking of things to write about and I was like "I like Target Tuesday... and I have a lot of books on my loves list at the moment." Let's check out what's on there! Some of these are just books that I liked the cover of and I decided to put it in my loves list and I looked at the description after... and some are authors I know... so let's just start it!

Not The Girl You Marry by Andie J Christopher

Okay... this looked like a cute book. And I'm just seeing now there's a dog on the cover too! So yeah... there's a dog in the book- I kind of want it. The book is also a reversed How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days and I love that movie... so I totally want to read this book to see how that is. It sounds really funny. Plus its more modern than the movie so that would be good too. OHHH This might not have been the liked based on the cover... it might be the next book from the same author and then I saw this was How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days... so I wanted to read it.

Not That Kind of Guy by Andie J. Christopher

So I believe I read that this was Christopher's book after the one I just mentioned- It's another rom com that looked cute... the plot and from what I've seen of the reviews don't sound as appealing to me. It's an office romance that ends up with the 2 main characters getting married in vegas and falling for each other... If I end up reading the first book and liking it maybe I'll get this one after... but I'm not as sure about this one.

Trejo's Tacos by Danny Trejo

I'm a fan of Danny Trejo and a fan of tacos... so this is something I'd like to try! PS-he's been doing some good things right now like giving out food... so that's cool.

The Lucky Ones by Liz Lawson

This sounds like a darker book than I really know if I want to read. It's about a school shooting... I might have liked the cover or maybe it was recommended... but it does sound good. It might be something hard to read and sad, so I'm not sure I'll end up getting this one.

The Perfect Escape by Suzanne Park

So this is a YA Novel that involves an Escape Room? I think I wasn't that into it being a YA Novel, but I thought the Escape Room aspect sounded really good and it did sound like it's a cute and funny book. I might check this one out!

Little Secrets by Jennifer Hillier

This one I either heard recommended or I liked the cover or something. This sounds like a really good mystery- this woman has the perfect life, but then her son gets murdered and she finds out her husband is having an affair... and it sounds like this one is really good. I'm probably going to get this one sooner than others on the list.

Hex by Rebecca Dinerstein Knight
So this book is about studying poisonous plants... but also a lot of other things happen between these two scientists... it sounds like a complicated and interesting book... I'm not even sure I got everything from the description of it.

Betsey A Memoir by Betsey Johnson
Betsey Johnson is one of my favorite designers and I'd like to read more about her life and her inspirations. She's a cool lady.

You Deserve Each Other By Sarah Hoagle

This one actually sounded really funny to me. So the pair is engaged- but they both want to break off the engagement... but really they want the other person to break off the engagement so that they don't have to pay for all the non refundable deposits. So they keep pranking each other and trying to get the other one to break off the engagement- but they end up having fun and they see more of each other.

The description made me laugh.

The Southern Book Club's Guide To Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix

Grady Hendrix is a really funny horror writer and I read his book Horrorstor last summer... and I have his 2 other books and they look good as well. I might try reading this in the summer or maybe reading it around Halloween or something.

The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimmenez

This is about a dog! Kind of! The girl finds a dog that belongs to the guy- who is a musician and the two get flirty but the girl doesn't want to get her heart broken again and she doesn't know if he'll stick around. It sounds pretty cute and there's a dog in it.

The Goldberg's Cookbook by Beverly Goldberg
This is a Cookbook for the show The Goldbergs! I like the show and I'm sure the recipes are good. The only thing is... I have a feeling these might be things I already have recipes for... so that's kind of how I'm feeling... but I still kind of want it.

Nothing General About it by Maurice Bernard

Maurice Bernard is a very famous soap opera actor known for playing Sonny on General Hospital... and I've watched him on the show for as long as I can remember. He is also open about having Bipolar disorder and the subtitle of this book is "How Love (and Lithium) saved me on and off General Hospital." This might be a hard book to read- but I am a fan of Maurice and I think his openness about his bipolar disorder is very brave.

Something She's Not Telling Us by Darcey Bell

This I'm probably going to get because Darcey Bell also wrote A Simple Favor and I really liked that movie and I have the book.

The First Time By Colton Underwood

I've only watched 2 favorite seasons of The Bachelor... but Colton is definitely my favorite compared to Pete... so I kind of want to read his book. I'm not sure it'll be that good or that interesting... but idk I kind of want to know what being The Bachelor is like.

All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban

This is kind of like a dark Breakfast Club. Someone locks up a bunch of different students together in a room with a bomb and a syringe of poison and a note that says to pick one person to die or all of them will die. This sounds really good and I think I want to order this. I have a similar YA book on my book list that I might read first but... I might just order this one now. It sounds like something I'd like.

In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

This sounds similar to the book I'm reading now. The Main Character is engaged and just accepted a new job and her life is going according to plan... but then she goes to sleep and wakes up with a different ring, different job and a different man... and it's 5 years in the future and her life is totally different.

This has been on my list the longest and... I think it sounds really good.

So that is everything! Hope you guys like this... I know it's a lot! But I like books!

Bye!

Scribbles about TV: Jane The Virgin Review!

This I think is a surprise hit, so of corse I needed to watch it for myself to see! It's been getting a lot of critical buzz because it has been reviewed as "one of the best pilots of the season" and I also have been hearing a few critics saying that they don't think it will last because the word "virgin" is in the title... which is stupid. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin and if a show is good, its good and people should watch it... plus this did bring pretty high ratings for The CW so the critics that said that can suck it! Lol. Overall I really liked this show. One thing thats been bothering me a lot about the new Fall shows is that the characters aren't interesting enough. Especially the female characters. I thought that this showed a lot of really strong female characters that were interesting. This had a pretty big cast with A LOT of stuff going on for a pilot and most of the characters were female. That is a powerful thing to see on TV...

Top 10 Dating Tips/ Suggestions

So I've been in a relationship for about 2 and a half years... but before that I was single... for a very long time. And I was on dating apps for about a year or so before that... so here's what I learned from those apps. If you want more specific relationship advice I have from being in a relationship... that one might be a little harder but I guess I could do a blog on that too? Idk... I'm not an expert but I think I have some good tips.  Find an App That Works For You  I feel like not all apps work for everyone. I started on Bumble- and I like the app. I love the idea of girls taking the first move- but... I HATE making the first move apparently. So I would just match with a bunch of guys... and never really knew what to talk about. Plus I like having A LOT of info in my bio and Bumble just doesn't give enough space for me. I only went out with 1 guy from Bumble I think and it was bad.  So after that I tried Coffee Meets Bagel... which is terrible. Maybe depending on...

Scribbles About TV: Jane The Virgin Finale Review (SPOILERS)

So.... Can we talk about all the twists because there were a lot! I didn't even see all of them coming! Alrighty we start out in typical Jane The Virgin Mode with Jane's choice between Raphael and Michael... I'd be okay with either but I think I'm team Michael. Jane has a weird moment with Raphael and thinks she's better off without him and just having him be the father of her child. She's also starting to have some feelings for Michael again. Then she almost has the baby on the bus and some woman helps her and gets the bus driver to take her to the hospital. Rogellio and Xo are in Vegas and they get drunk and can't remember what happens, but they make it just in time to see Jane deliver a baby boy. I knew it would be a boy! Lets pause on that a little and go to Michael and his ex partner/friend with benefits who comes back says she has a lead on Sin Rostro, gives him an address where the plastic surgeon is and by the time Michael gets there, he's de...
