So I think I'll still post more movie posts other than just on Mondays... but I think my Movie Mondays will just be reviews whereas I'll post deeper posts for other movie posts. Movies I've seen before like my Love Actually post and stuff like that.
Anyway onto Poms- I didn't really think that I'd like the movie- but I knew that my mom would like this movie so I recorded it for my mom and I actually ended up watching it with her and I thought it was really cute. It wasn't a great movie or anything- but it's just a sweet story that'll make you smile and laugh.
This is about a woman- played by Diane Keaton who goes to a retirement community "to die" as she says... and we learn in the movie that she has Cancer and she is dying. She hears of some clubs that are in the community and they're all a little snobby for her... so she wants to start a Cheerleading Club for Senior Citizens. She had wanted to be a Cheerleader in High School and then she had to d5rop out because her mom was sick with cancer. Diane Keaton's character ends up getting a group of women together... and they end up getting a High School Cheerleader to coach them... and it's really fun and cute.
The movie is very fun and heartfelt. It's the type of movie that will make you laugh and cry... but overall I think it's hard to see this and not smile.
It isn't a fantastic movie really... the jokes are funny but it's similar to other movies like it. There are like 2 montage scenes back to back which I don't really like... but still I feel like it would be very cynical of me to give it a bad review because overall it was just a cute movie that I really enjoyed.
This movie had a great cast too... obviously Diane Keaton was in it but also Rhea Pearlman, Pam Grier, Jessica from 13 Reasons Why. It was a good cast and Rhea Pearlman in particular was really funny.
Bye!
