Scribbles About Food: Back to College/School Snacks

So I thought this would just kind of be a fun thing to do... I'm just going to talk about what I ate in college as a snack- mostly when I didn't have much time to grab a meal before going to class... and yeah. Let's get right into it... PS... these aren't really healthy options... so yeah. There's that.

This isn't something I had in college, but Keebler just released a "Pita and Hummus" or "Flatbread and Hummus" snack pack. This isn't super filling- but it would be a good snack in between classes... You're going to need to bring some breath mints to class or brush your teeth before if you want to smell good in class... I don't think I would do stuff like that for class... not even going to lie lol... if I was working with other people or if there was a cute boy- I would consider that... but yeah. Not the first thing I was worried about lol. Improv class I was a little more concerned... but I wasn't really concerned otherwise. Lol.

I was also big into Starbucks... in the morning I'd get it... there was one semester where I had one 3 hour class and we'd get a short break and the building was close enough to Starbucks that I could get a little something to eat... which was good because I had another 3 hour class almost right after that one and I preferred eating dinner after. The drink I get now is the Chai Latte... I think that's what I mostly got in college also... I got different things depending on my mood... still do lol. But the Chai Latte has been my go-to lately. I like it Iced... so good! I'd usually grab a yogurt Parfait or something then too.

One thing you don't want to do: Get the Salted Caramel Latte with the Salted Caramel Brownie... I'm a huge sweet tooth... but that was a little too much even for me... and it was very heavy and it just kind of sat on me while I had to walk to a much further away building... it was gross. I love the brownies, I love the Salted Caramel Latte... would never get them together again.

My favorite snack ever for a quick meal... the Keebler Cheese and Peanut Butter Crackers. These are a must have if you really have no time before class. If you're traveling these are great. They have just regular peanut butter crackers too... they have just regular cheese ones... whatever is your cup of tea... I just like the Cheese and peanut butter combo. These are filling enough that you can pay attention in class without only thinking of food... and it's just good to grab. Most of the little snack places have these... I think some vending machines probably do... they're just good.

Also Snickers... It's exactly like the commercials... feeling hungry? Grab a snickers! I did this before an interview with a teacher once... so that was fun.

Whenever I was studying I used to like getting Rice Krispy Treats because those are a nice sugary dessert that you can find really easily. I also like the Starbucks grocery store drinks. Those are always good.

I'm not that big on lunch meat... but I did eat a lot of cheese and crackers and sometimes I'd have pepperoni... and I would sing "Working on my Night Cheese" while eating it if my roommate wasn't in the room... it was good.

I think that's about it!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
