Chart Chat-8.1.17

10) Wonder Woman- It's 9th week on the Charts! The Surprise Smash of the summer... already has a release date for the sequel and rumors of Charlize Theron being in Wonder Woman 2... Even though this may be leaving the charts soon... the buzz has not died down about this movie... and I'm excited for it. I feel like this was what the new DC movies needed. I'm glad that all the other rumored Wonder Woman projects never really panned out... I think there was rumor of a Wonder Woman TV show and a Megan Fox Wonder Woman... I think that was a fan-made photo though... I'm glad that this is the one that worked out because I think this is what we needed.

9) Baby Driver- I'm kind of bummed about this leaving the charts soon (I'm guessing) ... I want to see this... I'll probably wait till it's on TV. This got really great reviews and I'm happy for all the stars in it... especially Ansel Elgort. I liked him in The Fault In Our Stars... but that wasn't the best movie... so I'm glad he's in a better movie. I follow him on Instagram (because I have a crush on him) and he seems so proud of this movie... and that is awesome! I'm happy about this.

8) Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets- Kind of shocked this is doing so badly... but I have very little interest in seeing this movie and I'm guessing other people are thinking the same too... plus I don't think Cara Delevigne is a very good actress... so I'm just going to maybe watch this in my blog series where I watch John Wick and The Fast and The Furious and movies I know I won't like. Lol.

7) Despicable Me 3- This is the only movie I've seen this summer... and it is amazing! I loved it! I did a review on it... and I'm excited for what's to come from Illumination in the future!

6) War of The Planet of The Apes- Again... no interest in seeing this... but I can see how this trilogy is a good trilogy. There was lots of buildup and it seems that each movie was a little better than the last... although the only one I was really interested in seeing was the first. Idk. It's not bad!

5) Spider Man: Homecoming- I'm glad this is still in the top 5... I want to see this partially because I'm obsessed with Spider Man right now... partially for sentimental reasons. My grandfather that just passed away took me to see the first Spider Man movie and he really liked those movies and we had fun seeing them. And I just kind of want to re-watch all the Spider Men... because I think Andrew Garfield's might be my favorite... but I did honestly love Spider Man 3... and I know the bad parts of it... literally half the movie was Mary Jane and James Franco dancing and making an Omelet... but I still liked all the villains and I think until I see another Venom in a Spider Man movie... this will be my favorite.

4) Atomic Blonde- This looks good too! I like Charlize Theron... I've pretty much only seen her not-so-great movies... like I've never watched Monster- but I've seen Snow White and The Huntsman and she was good in that... so I'm sure this one will be awesome!

3) Girls Trip- Everyone is loving this movie! Queen Latifah is someone I'll watch in just about anything also... and this just looks funny.

2) The Emoji Movie- This looks cute... but I think it looks kind of exactly like Wreck it Ralph and from what I'm hearing Ralph Breaks the Internet. So I don't really want to see it... but I'll watch it on tv at some point maybe.

1) Dunkirk- I'm probably going to see this... again- for sentimental reasons. My grandfather would have loved this movie and he wasn't able to see it... so that's our way of remembering him. My review of this will probably be weird because on one hand it's something I don't have much interest in... but on the other hand... I can't really give it a bad review. So I'll do a review on it most likely but it will be weird. Still surprised this is number 1 again... I don't think Atomic Blonde is really released as wide as this and it's an R rated action movie starring a woman... so that kind of makes sense that it'd make less money... but yeah. Lots of good movies out for it almost being August... so that's a pretty good sign!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
