It List: September 2016

1) The Pumpkin Spice Latte- My favorite thing of the season: The PSL! And really pumpkin anything... I really like Pumpkin! This is one of my favorite drinks from starbucks. I think its nice and sweet and pumpkin-y... I just really like it! I've had the Pumpkin Spice Frap and thats good... I don't always get that cause usually I like the Hot Latte best... but its been really hot here lately... and I just think this is a good one and it is a constant fall it list favorite... so yeah. Of corse this is on here! 2) American Horror Story- This is a little early to put on the It List... but I really liked the premiere and I think its going to be an interesting season. I like the way that they're telling the story... I have a review on it  here . I'm not scared by it yet... but I'm excited to see what happens. I'm even more excited for Scream Queens! 3) Sisters- I felt the need to include this movie because I've watched it twice already and I feel like I could

Throwback Thursday: The Emperor's New Groove

Alright, back in the nostalgic movie train for the week... I watched The Emperor's New Groove! This has always held a special place in my heart because I think it's definitely one of the funniest Disney movies if not the funniest... at least from when I was growing up, it is one of the funnier ones. And I'm happy it held up! It wasn't the best movie ever... but its still really funny and you can see even though Kuzco seems like a big jerk that is almost unforgivable... he does have good qualities. I think the only reason he was mean to Pacha was because he really thought Pacha turned him into a llama and he didn't think Yzma or Kronk had anything to do with it. The voice acting in this movie is also pretty unique for a Disney movie... especially back then. Its all well known actors who are known for being in comedies. Eartha Kitt voiced Yzma and she did a wonderful job! I never knew that she played Yzma! I thought that was pretty cool! This is also one that I

What's Up Wednesday: 9.28.16

I'm a little sleepy right now... haven't had dinner yet, I think I am soon... but I was up kinda late last night because I kind of want to do a blog on the Fantasia movies... and I thought that would be something fun to watch before bed... and it was... but the first couple cartoons are a little boring and not that good... but the last one I watched before bed was the amazing Sorcerer's Apprentice... so that was good! Anyway today I woke up... I think I had a dream about the muppets... which is always good. That's a good way to wake up, in my opinion. I've been in a muppety mood today. So yeah... Muppety moods are good to be in. Then I got a Pumpkin Spice Latte. My mom brought it home and that was good. And then later we went out to run errands with my grandmother. We ate Pretzels from The Pretzel Company inside of Wall Mart... my mom had regular salt and I had cinnamon sugar with a pumpkin dip... which was good! I really like their pretzels! Then I went to Ul

Tag Tuesday:25 Bookish Questions

1) Do You Get Sick While Reading in A Car? No, I like reading on trains a lot.  2) Which Author's Style is Unique To You And Why?  JK Rowling. I know everyone would probably say the same thing... but everything she writes is a little different... but you can tell its the same voice. Its just very interesting to me.  3) Harry Potter Series or Twilight Saga: Give 3 Points to Defend Your Answer!  This shouldn't even be a question... Harry Potter hands down 1) JK Rowling didn't just create a book and characters with the Harry Potter series, she created an entire world and mythology to go along with it. 2) The characters in Harry Potter are very strong and fight for the people they love... and even for their enemies and rivals. Snape died for Harry Potter, who he resented quite deeply... in Twilight no one would die for Jacob... nor should they. 3) I don't think that books would even be that popular if it weren't for Harry Potter. If Harry Potter was never publish

Chart Chat 9.26.16

10) Kubo and the Two Strings- This is the 6th week in the box office and it is still going strong! I think this just looks like a fun family movie. Even though the kids are back in school now, this is one that would be fun to go to after school if they don't have a lot of homework, or if they had a half day or on the weekends or something. Didn't see it... not totally interested in it... but it looks like a fun movie anyone could enjoy! Only made 1.1 million dollars this weekend... but still, not doing too bad for a movie that has been out for 6 weeks! 9) When the Bough Breaks- I hadn't heard of this movie, it sounds good though! I would watch... it sounds like a lifetime movie... but its still probably scary and good. Didn't see any reviews... this is the third week this has been out and... yeah. Just seems good! 8) Suicide Squad- I've heard mixed things about this. I actually just watched the Season Premiere of Gotham... and I really think if you want to watch

Life Scribbles: Moments From The Week

I didn't want to not post anything today... but I don't really have anything... so this is what I did this week.  Monday  I haven't had a Salted Caramel Mocha Latte from Starbucks in YEARS because it made me sick one time when i had it in a brownie... and this day I decided to try it again... but I had a Venti... ugh. That made me feel a little bit sick. I know I did a blog on Monday already... but after I finished writing that blog I ate the rest of my dinner (I think I mentioned I couldn't eat it when it was ready so I saved like half the plate for later and it was good.  Tuesday  Tuesday Scream Queens came back on! That was exciting! I love that show! And I think I had a PSL and a Salted Caramel Mocha! And I watched Zootopia  Wednesday  Wednesday is the interesting day. Of all the weeks not to do a What's Up Wednesday... I was up all night on Tuesday watching Zootopia and I woke up early and didn't get back to bed until later. So I woke up ar

Weekly Wrap Up 9.25.16

Favorites  Scream Queens- I didn't love the premiere of season 2 quite as much as I loved Season 1... but this is still a great show and possibly my favorite on TV currently. So yeah... it was really really good! The Good Place- This is my favorite show this year so far! If you like Parks and Rec or Brooklyn 99... You might like this! Same writers I believe. And it wasn't really what I expected at all. There's a lot more plot to it than it seemed from the commercials. It was funny though because in the comments someone said "This is just like the show Selfie" which made me laugh because really Selfie was based off of Pygmalion. I don't think they were really going for a total Pygmalion theme the way that Selfie was... and this is much more creative than Selfie. Its a good spin on that type of story... and I'll have another review on that soon! Justin Scarred-  Justin Scarred   is a vlogger that does a lot of Disney vlogs and shows interesting th

Scribbles About Movies: Mini Movie Reviews: Mermaids, The Good Dinosaur, Pitch Perfect 2+ More

Alright some new movies I've been watching... here's what I think of them! Pitch Perfect 2  I thought this was funny. I don't know if I liked it as much as the first one or more... in some ways I kinda liked it more. I thought the thing with Fat Amy and Bumper was really funny and cute. I like them both, lots of good songs in both. I liked the new characters in this one and overall I just thought it was a really funny sequel. I was happy when they won, I liked seeing them battle it out... it was cool! Mermaids  I thought this was a movie about actual mermaids... but it wasn't.... still not disappointing at all! I really loved it! I thought Winona Rider and Christina Ricci were really good in it. I really liked the story. Cher played the mother and she was a single mom that dated a lot... and Winona Rider wanted to be a Nun but then she saw a boy she liked and its just about her growing up and I thought it was the most well done movie of its kind really. There are

Scribbles About Music: Throwback Thursday Edition: 7 Minutes in Heaven by Fall Out Boy

So this one I was excited to listen to after last weeks episode. This was never my favorite song... but I kind of bundle this in with the next 3 songs and this is my favorite of that little bundle... so yeah! This is one I was excited to listen to again. And this is one that makes me feel super young again... but I feel like I'm still young enough for this song to be cute to me. Does that make sense? It still feels very relevant to me. Not that I'm sitting out dances on the wall or anything like that... but I know what that feels like. I can relate to this song. Also its just catchy. Very uplifting after the previous song... or even just after Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner (since I usually skip the Dark Ally song). This is just a nice catchy one. I feel like a lot of why I like it is the same as why I like Dance Dance. Just a good catchy song that might not be the happiest of songs... but its still upbeat and makes you feel good and dancey... so yeah. Side Note: Adele re

Scribbles About TV: Scream Queens Season 2

Scream Queens was my favorite show last year... so I was super excited that it was returning this year! I was also really excited that some of the same characters were back! The Chanels were all returning, Chad Radwell is coming back... there was a different killer and a different subject, but it was still the same characters and the same Murder Mystery format. I didn't like the premiere as much as the premiere last season. It was 2 hours, there were a lot of killings and a lot of surprises and I just thought it was a really funny and great episode. This episode was also funny... it didn't have as many laughs as the Pilot and Hell Week because it wasn't as long, there weren't as many jokes packed in. Plus Nick Jonas wasn't in this episode... so it was a bit of a let down compared to last year... but I still think it's going to be an exciting season! A lot of time was spent explaining why everyone was in a hospital now... so I didn't think that was quite

Tag Tuesday: The Pixar Tag

So I was looking for more tags to do and I was like "well in the Disney Tag I mentioned I like Pixar better... why not do a Pixar tag!" So here it is! I found it  here  this blog looks like a fun blog and she said she re-wrote the questions from the Disney Princess Tag... so that might be a thing. Which Character do you adore the most? Sulley. I love Monster's Inc and its just really really good.    Which Character do you like the least?  I think the villain in Up... he was actually really just a bad guy. So I don't think he was bad for the movie... but he's the least lovable. I'm not a big fan of Cars or Brave... but I can't really say any of those characters are bad, so I'm going with the bad guy from Up. Which Character do you relate to the most?  I think Joy. I'm not saying because I'm so happy-go-lucky... but I think Joy is very take-charge to a fault and she doesn't always listen to other people and she wants things done he

Scribbles About Life: Monday 9.19.16 - My day+Some Changes to The Blog

I thought maybe today I would do something like a What's Up Wednesday... but on a Monday. I had a dream this morning that my teeth were falling out. It started with one chip in my tooth and then that fell out and then all my other teeth were falling out and I was like "Wait, people have dreams where there teeth are falling out. Maybe this is just a dream... I don't think it is, but I'll pinch myself to see if it is" so I pinched myself and then realized it was a dream. And then I had some more weird/ bad dreams because I fell asleep with the news on... which is just about the scariest thing you can do. Woke up kinda dragging today, so I got a Venti Salted Caramel Mocha from Starbucks... it was delicious... but too much. I haven't had the Salted Caramel Mocha in a few years because the last time I had it, I had it with a Salted Caramel brownie.. and that was too much... and today I realized that just the Salted Caramel Mocha on its own was a little much too

Weekly Wrap Up 9.18.16

Favorites  American Horror Story 6- I think the premiere of this new season of AHS was the best in a long time! I Liked that they kept the plot a secret, even when they did previews, I like that they're using a different format for telling the story. No one is really talking about how great this season is so far either, so I have a feeling its going to be an underrated season that will just be really great and unexpected! I'm excited for Scream Queens with this too! Coloring Journals- I've mentioned this before, I love coloring books... but Coloring journals are fun too! My journal part has been particularly boring lately... but I still have fun writing in it. Just writing in general... I've done a lot of blogs lately that I'm quite proud of and I've just been happy writing... so maybe just writing is a favorite... but also coloring books. I love it. Country Apple - This is a Bath and Body Works Scent... I'll try to leave a link in the link secti

Scribbles About Food: Blacktap NYC

I went to Blacktap back in April for my sister's Bachelorette Party and I thought now would be a good time to give a review of it!  Black Tap is mostly known for  their EPICALLY huge milkshakes filled with candy and lots of things inside... and the line to get in the restaurant... which I'll mention too... but they have good food besides just the milkshakes and they had a pretty good selection of things on the menu also.  I had the Texan Burger which is described as "Aged Cheddar, Crispy Onions, Bacon, Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ and Mayo." I forget if I had it with Mayo or if I asked for no mayo... Yeah it had mayo on it... but it was probably the most delicious burger I've ever had. It was cooked really well, the flavors all went together really well... it just tasted amazing all together.  It was a really big burger patty and it had a lot of cheese on it. The bacon was good... there was only one crispy onion... but it was a really good onion ring.

Scribbles About TV: American Horror Story 6?(general plot spoilers)

I have kind of mixed feelings about the premiere of the 6th season of AHS... I'm a big fan of the "true story" format of the show. I think its really brave of them to switch up formats, and its kind of cool to see different actors playing the same character... I am a little disappointed that it seems that this will be the format of the whole show. I feel like... it might end up being scarier and a little funnier, but there are some things they aren't probably going to get to cover. Like I'm certain that the marriage between Matt and Shelly I think her name is... isn't as good as Shelly describes in the beginning. No relationship is! Plus all the previews seem to make it look like one of the themes is illusion... so there is definitely some illusion with that! There are unreliable narrators and an unreliable narration going on. So... that is something to take note of. I thought the yoga jokes were all pretty funny. My Facebook status says "We Moved To

Scribbles About Music: Throwback Thursday Edition- I've got a Dark Ally and A Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth

Gosh... these titles are far too long! This is the one song by Fall Out Boy I can honestly say I never liked... and I've liked it a little bit over times to the point where I wasn't skipping the song when I listened to the album... and there are some great lines in this... but ultimately, it's my least favorite Fall Out Boy Song. I feel like I should compare this... but this is kind of hard. Arrested Development is my favorite show, and I would say that my least favorite episode of that show is still better than any other show on tv... but this is different because I just don't like this song. And its even more of a let down because its on after my favorite song... and I know last time I did a review I said I didn't think that song really held up as that good... but I still really like it... this one I just don't like. It's just really a downer song and I just don't like it that much compared to other songs... which is funny because its about compari

What's Up Wednesday: 9.14.16

So today I was sleepy. And Spencer was bad. He peed on my parents bed and now he's been ashamed all day. Didn't do too much today. I watched some youtube and some Periscope. That was fun. cleaning my room a little. Working on some first impression-y things for my Beauty Blog... so there's that. I had a pretty successful day on Instagram. I posted everything already and thats been good. I've noticed this blog has been extra popular lately, which is cool! So if you're reading this thank you! Feel free to comment and let me know who you are and stuff! Tell me if you like the blog or not cause I'm not used to getting 20+views on stuff and I just saw a bunch of 20-ish views! So that was kind of cool! I feel like I've been liking my blogs lately so I'm happy with it at least! I found money today... which is always fun! I had a meatball parm sub for lunch... which was really good! Yeah... kind of a boring day. Lol. I'm a little sad that American G

Tag Tuesday: The Nickelodeon Tag!

Since I did the Disney Tag last week, and I'm still loving the tag things, I thought I'd do the Nickelodeon Tag! I saw the questions on  this youtube channel . I like this youtuber, I don't watch her videos as much... I just googled The Nickelodeon Tag... so yeah. Ohhh and there's a part 2 What is the the first Nickelodeon show you ever watched? Ahhh Real Monsters comes to mind. Maybe it was Rugrats or Rocco's Modern Life... but I think it was Ahhh Real Monsters. Which I love, so yeah! That was good!  What is your favorite 90's nickelodeon show? Rugrats for sure. I can still watch it and laugh at and not be bored. It's the best.  If you could live in any Nickelodeon cartoon world, which one would it be? I think this tag is supposed to be the 90s Nick Tag... and technically this isn't from the 90s but I would want to live in the world from Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius. I think that Retroville was really cool and I really loved the retro feel of everyth

Scribbles About Food: Starbucks Chile Mocha (Frap and Latte)

Starbucks has a new drink that sounded interesting to me. Its sort of a "Mexican Hot Chocolate" inspired drink that is a Chile Mocha. Its a regular Mocha... but with a little bit of a kick I guess... so lets see how this is! Frap  I really liked the frap! It didn't have much of a kick to it... it was just enough to bring out the chocolate in the Mocha... but not enough for me to be like "wow, this is spicy!" I was little disappointed in that, I don't mind spiciness... but I think this was probably better than anything super spicy. I haven't had a real Mexican Hot Chocolate, but I've had Mexican Hot Chocolate Ice Cream and that was really good and pretty spicy. So I'm not really an expert... but I think this was better than I was expecting for a Starbucks version of the drink. And it was really chocolatey, which was the 1st and best thing I noticed really. It was good. Latte  The Latte was a little bit spicier! I liked it a lot still thoug

Weekly Wrap Up 9.11.16

Favorites  American Gothic- That finale of American Gothic was just really really good. I did a review on it  here  and I loved it! It was perfect. It wasn't the most shocking pick for who the SBK accomplice was... but there were lots of twists and turns and it was just really well done. Especially the very ending in my opinion. I really loved it!  Sisters- I just watched Sisters last night for the first time... I could easily watch it 100 times or more. It was really funny and just a good movie. Funniest movie I've seen in a while! It was so good!  Pumpkin Spice- Just anything Pumpkin Spice gets a shout out for me this week. I mention it more in the Noteworthy Snacks section... but really Pumpkin Spice makes everything better!  Life Scribbles - Monday... I think I wasn't feeling so great. I was starting to feel a little better, but my stomach was hurting a little bit this week. It was also labor day... but I didn't do anything different than any other

Scribbles About Stories: The Radio Contest

A few months ago, I was having a pretty good streak of luck. Around Christmas time, my mall did a black friday type of giveaway where the first 500 or so people to stand in line got a mall gift card, anywhere from $5-$500 and they had some other gift cards and goodies that they were giving out too... and as it turned out, I won a $40 mall gift card! Then around Easter Time I won another radio trivia contest and I got a chocolate bunny filled with delicious cookies from The Chocolate Carousel... which if you haven't heard of yet and you live in Jersey... I highly recommend. They are delicious and have all types of goodies. And they're right by a Pokemon Gym! Side Note: I don't like Pokemon gyms! What was I talking about? I wrote about 5 more sentences about Pokemon Go and I forgot where I was... oh yeah, so shortly after the Radio Contest my mom heard about this other radio giveaway where they were giving away goody bag type things filled with all sorts of stuff. The way i

APPyness: Duolingo

I've been learning Italian on this app called Duolingo and I have to say it is really fun. I don't know if its very practical... this isn't like the free app version of Rosetta Stone or anything, but if you're taking Italian, or any language in High School or college, this app might be a fun way to learn a little more and maybe study a bit.  I don't think that when I finish all of the things I'll suddenly be fluent in Italian... I think maybe I'll remember the Italian that I learned in college a little bit better, but I don't know that I'll even be as good as I was in my college Italian class... but I'm still trying to do it everyday because its one of those "You learn something new every day" type of deals. This is what I happen to be learning every day.  There is one major problem with this app and that is there is no reference or anything before... its just like an instant quiz. And usually the quizzes are easy. For example it

Throwback Thursday: Big Fat Liar

So I saw this movie was on demand... and I figured I'd just watch it and do a little throwback thursday on it. I've been wanting to watch it because Paul Giamati is like a famous, somewhat serious actor now and Frankie Muniz and Amanda Bynes are kind of crazy people now... so this is fun. It seems like its a commercial for Universal Studios Hollywood. This is also what I thought the film industry was like as a kid... and a lot of it is probably accurate... but a lot of it is not a very accurate representation. He hadn't made the movie yet but they have a trailer already? Weird. Tarin Killam from SNL and John Cho from Harold and Kumar are in this also. There was a funny part where Frankie Muniz drank a bunch of cokes and was acting like a coke addict because the coke machine was free. And Amanda Bynes has a fabulous sweater on... let me get a picture. Can we appreciate this fabulousness? 2002 fashion...  The part where they dye him blue and his hair orange

Scribbles About TV: Lets talk about that American Gothic Finale...(no big spoilers)

Okay CBS just aired the finale of American Gothic... I didn't know it was going to be 2 hours and I saw it was 10:20 and I didn't watch it... but I had to watch it from the beginning and see the whole thing because there are some people in my life that are spoilers and they would have ruined it for me... so I just sat down and watched the whole thing... and holy crap! I have had my complaints about the show throughout the season... I really think it was finding its ground and its been pretty much a great show the whole year... but this finale was just awesome. Well written and totally totally awesome! The finale was everything I wished the AHS finales would be. Now the reveal of who SBK was was shocking... and I think I'm going to wait to spoil that for a bit. Just because there is only one living SBK that we don't know about doesn't mean there aren't other bad guys... so thats sort of a plot twist in itself. The person I thought was SBK was not correct... but
