Scribbles About Food: Caribou Coffee Sea Salt Caramel Iced Coffee

I started drinking this... and I just figured why not do a scribbles about food on this. I'm almost done with it.

I think this is something that is more of a "healthy" option compared to some other iced coffee drinks at the grocery store... like the Starbucks ones. I've tried a lot of other iced coffee drinks so I wanted to give this one a try. Maybe its a better option. "No High Fructose Corn Syrup, artificial flavors, or preservatives."...

Okay... nevermind this being a "healthy option." On the back the nutritional info says that 1 bottle is about two servings... so it is 150 calories for one serving... which isn't bad. But for the bottle its 260 calories... which is kind of ridiculous. I don't think its a ridiculous amount of calories... but come on. This isn't something you're going to keep in the fridge after drinking half of it... this is something you're going to drink all at once. So... that's a little sneaky marketing technique.

The flavor is good. It isn't that strong though. I thought I liked it better than the Starbuck's Frappucino drinks in the iced coffee section... but I think those might be more flavorful. I think there's a caramel flavor... but I don't think it really tastes like Sea Salt caramel. It just tastes like a caramel latte.

I feel the more I'm drinking this the more underwhelmed I am. I think my favorite sea salt caramel ice coffee was from Boathouse... but I think they only sell those at Wawa and I don't stop at Wawa very often.

I like Caribou Coffee as a brand... but they're kind of like the brand Sweetums from Parks and Rec. They used to make a granola bar that I'm sure had no real nutritional value whatsoever. I think it was like an expresso bar or something. They were delicious... but I'm sure there was nothing healthy about them. I used to eat them before finals or when I needed to study for finals... or when I went to concerts early in the morning. They had their purpose... but it wasn't a practical snack for everyday really. I don't think they make them anymore... if they do maybe I'll try it for a Throwback Thursday.

So this wasn't bad... but I probably wouldn't pick it up again. I liked it... but it was still slightly underwhelming.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
