Woman Crush Thursday?- Current Girl Crushes

So I missed doing a WCW yesterday... and honestly I can't even think of one specific person to pick out, so here are my snippets for my current list of woman crushes and why they are awesome. There is probably going to be a fuller post on them, but for right now, here's just a list of some awesome ladies.

I'm gonna start with Kat Dennings. I didn't even realize how much I loved her until this week. She's been on Fallon and Seth Meyers and Kelly and Michael and honestly she is an awesome guest to have. She is a really interesting person herself and she even makes the interviewer seem really interesting as well. She just seems like she has a ton of fun being on talk shows and she's genuinely a really smart, funny and interesting person. She also isn't afraid to talk about her relationship with Josh Groban, but she's also not just gonna talk about her boyfriend the whole time like "she's only with him because he's famous" type of thing. Which is something that can happen from time to time.

Grace Helbig is also awesome. She is both shy but also not afraid to kind of admit she's an introvert and she's an awkward person that makes youtube videos. I really felt inspired by her talk show, because there are so many people that just totally play it cool on tv or in talk shows, and won't say "I'm an introvert. This is terrifying to me but I'm doing it." And that is something thats cool. Other side of the coin, her first guest was Aisha Tyler and she said the same thing but opposite. She thinks hosting a talk show like Grace's is horrifying because there is no feedback or gratification from an audience the way that there is if you're doing standup or something. Also cool thing to admit. They're little exchange on the show was awesome because its like "hey you're this way I'm this way neither is right or wrong and we're both cool people and good talk show hosts." So that is super cool in my opinion!

Kristen Schaal, I'm probably going to do a full post on her very soon... but everything I've seen her in I've thought was absolutely amazing. Bob's Burgers? Amazing. Flight of the Conchords. Hilarious. Last Man on Earth? My current favorite tv show! 30 Rock? Yessss! The Daily Show? Sooo sooo funny. She is just awesome and even if she's just the voice of a character in a cartoon she totally brings it awesomely. She is really really cool.

Nia Vardalos... I just love. Her book is fantastic if you haven't read it. Whether you are looking to adopt or not, if you don't even want kids this book is just cool. And all of her movies are indie movies and little gems that are just amazing and often overlooked. Plus she's so sweet and supportive to her fans on twitter and facebook she's very active and she genuinely cares about people and about her fans. She's so sweet. I love her. She's an awesome mom, an awesome writer, and just an awesome lady all around. I think its technically illegal for me not to love her because I am Greek... but I love her.

And Gina Rodreguiz who is Jane on Jane the Virgin... I love that show and it is a cheesy soap opera type show and its not realistic at all... I know people who are like "that whole storyline could never happen. She wouldn't keep the baby and she'd sue the hospital." and Yeah that is what would probably happen in real life, but this isn't real life at all and I can accept that. When you watch it you know you're watching a nighttime soap thats funny, and I can accept it at least. I think Jane is such an empowering character that I really want more people, especially young girls to watch it. And it might not be as apparent to young girls because it might seem like this is real life and not just a tv show... but idk. I feel like I want to show this to my future daughter, if I have a future daughter or something. Its a good show and Gina Rodreguiz does an amazing job with her performance.

ALrighty that is it. Happy month after Women's Month... lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...
