Why Mulder and Scully Make Sense as A Couple+ What I think of the new series

Alright, so in re-watching The X Files I've been trying to not view Mulder and Scully as a couple because I really wanted them to get together when I first watched it, but then in the 2nd movie I felt like there was kind of an issue with them being a couple. Idk I feel like they're still to vague about it.

And here is my theory and it might be kind of a bummer... but basically I think they kind of have to be together because they can't actually be with anyone else. I don't think there is anyone else they will trust more than each other and I think there is no one else they will love more than each other and they can't be apart... so they need to be together. I feel like its very loving and beautiful that way... but also rather unromantic because they're more or less stuck with each other and I think... there's something to that. Something to them just being together because they have to that I appreciate. A lot of people say that they don't like them as a couple... and I'm with that. I think most shows don't work together when the leads become a couple and I think a lot of the issues I have with the later seasons of the show have to do with Mulder and Scully as a couple... but they're both incredibly lonely. They have each other and they have The Truth... and thats about it. And its really quite sad and scary but also if they were to find someone else that they love and would be with... that would be even sadder because then they would be yoko-ing the band. If I were married to Mulder (omg dream world. I have a huge crush on Mulder lol) I wouldn't be okay with his incredibly close relationship with Scully or with the fact that I don't think he could ever fully trust me or love me the way that he loves Scully. So that would be sad. And I couldn't tell him to stay away from Scully, Its Scully! Of corse he loves Scully more and would chose her over anyone else.

Also I think they definitely hooked up early on in the series. I've mentioned this before, but I think after the episode 731 they hook up, but just once. That kind of explains their relationship in the next three episodes at least (which is where I'm up to right now. I just finished Syzygy.) In Revelations, Scully is at a loss because Mulder isn't on her side and she goes to Church because she can't turn to him. In the cockroach episode she's jealous of Dr. Bambi, who Mulder takes an interest in and then in Syzygy she's jealous of Detective White, who Mulder seems to be flirting with. It kind of makes sense to me that they hooked up and then she's angry. And I think that fits with the rest of their romantic moments in the series. In the movie they almost kiss, in season 6 Mulder tells Scully he loves her. I feel like it goes along well with everything.

And I'm not opposed if in the new Mini Series they drop all references to Mulder and Scully as a couple... or if they continue to have them as a couple. I'm kind of on board because of Darin Morgan writing the episode Mulder and Scully meet the Were-Monster and Kumail Nanjianni is in an episode. David Duchovny said that it made him cry and a bunch of people are back... so I'm not getting my hopes up because the second movie was just so bad... but I have hopes for this one. I have a feeling I'll at least like one episode.

So yeah, those are just my thoughts. If you're for them as a couple for different reasons, I understand that and if you don't want them to be a couple... I understand that too. There is no right or wrong answer here its Mulder and Scully. This is just where I stand on it all. Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Throwback Thursday: Crazy Ex Girlfriend Season 1

One of my favorite shows is the very underrated Crazy Ex Girlfriend... and when I say underrated I mean the ratings are bad... I'm pretty sure there is a lot of critical hype that is very real and worthy of that sort of hype... I honestly didn't watch it live at all this year until the finale... it was all in my DVR... I had lost a little bit of interest to be honest after the first episode... but I bingewatched it all in one day pretty much and it was great... but that's season 2... let's go back to Season 1. If you're only familiar with Season 2... Season 1 isn't quite as dark. It's definitely more silly than Season 2. It isn't like the darkness and the drama isn't there, it just isn't quite as dark. I have a feeling the show is getting progressively darker, and the Season 2 finale was definitely the darkest so far. The show is meant to be a different spin on a Rom-Com. The girl moves across the country for a guy that has a girlfriend alrea...
