The Struggles of Public Transportation

So this is a subject I am quite well versed on: Public Transportation. I go to school in a city... so I use a lot of the NJ Public Transit thingamabobs and I have some opinions about everything.

So first off is the bus... Now I just use my school's bus system... which is actual quite new. Its convenient, its free. They run often enough, even though sometimes I'm waiting outside for a little bit and its cold, but you know whatever. The one bad thing about it is that its very awkward for clumsy people to stand in. Today I was having such struggles hanging onto the pole while standing because there were no seats left. I almost fell a bunch of times. I did fall one time a few months ago and thats embarrassing. I also always fear how I'm grabbing the pole. If I grab with one hand, I'll almost definitely fall. If I grab with two hands, I may look like a stripper. How do strippers handle this situation? Its just such a struggle sometimes. And then theres the seat with the pole in front of it. Which is usually always empty so you could sit there... but its either too crowded because there are usually two people on either side... or you could sit there with the pole in between your legs and have an awkward pole penis. Lol. I'm a girl, I don't want a penis! So yeah there is that too.

Then there's the train... which is fine but every once and a while someone wants to talk to you and I'm not okay with that. I'm someone that doesn't like to talk to strangers and I don't like sitting next to strangers... which also happens from time to time. But yeah one guy recently asked for my phone number... and he was like my parents age maybe... he wasn't young. And I was just like "No... Thank you." And he was all shocked... and I was like really you're shocked at this? You're like 60 and I'm 23... this won't work. I'm kinda sorry if that offends anyone... but if you're 23 and dating a 60 year old... you should get out. Thats creepy and gross. Lol.

And also there is Newark Penn station... ughhh. This is probably one of the most interesting places on earth... and also the grossest. Sometimes it just smells like piss and I'm like... mmm I need to leave here. And also creepy people there.

Which brings me to the Light Rail... I've only ever JUST MISSED the light rail and have to wait around for 10-15 minutes for the next one... or I get on it right in time, but it doesn't move for like 10-15 minutes... so there is that. Also more creepy people/ strangers. One time I saw a guy drink a whole bottle of something alcoholic and then just dump it on the tracks. I always wonder why people don't throw those out in the trash cans or recycle them... but no. Guess they have better things to do then worry about recycling, but you know. Its not a good idea.

Ohhh also, kids get annoying, but also funny. I've heard a kid trying to memorize a script for a movie he was in and he had to run through lines with  his mom, but he had to curse and he was embarrassed. There was also one time at Penn Station when a kid was eyeing my McDonalds bag and then his mom hit him and he started crying. It was funny but bad.

So uhhh... yeah I think thats it? Lol Feel like there is more I wanted to say, but I'm kind of done with this commute, probably for a while so... I'm a little less mad... but still funny things.

Byee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
