Weekly Wrap Up: July 12th 2020

Favorites

Peter Monn- I feel bad watching drama commentary channels but... Peter Monn is really funny and he has a fun personality... plus every once and a while there's youtube drama that I like to listen to... actually I kind of follow a lot of commentary channels right now so... yeah. Peter Monn's the one that makes me laugh and not feel as hopeless about the world right now. I should watch his other channels too.

The Pool- I went in the pool a couple of times this week. It was nice and relaxing so... that was good. I went in with my niece the first time and then read a book the second time.

Life Scribbles

Sunday I had the day off so my sister and niece came over and went in the pool with us... like I just mentioned. I might have talked about that last week because I write these on Sunday but... it was good.

The rest of the week I worked... longer hours too because we  got a lot of hours this week. I had a day off on Wednesday so my boyfriend and I went to the mall and had lunch and dinner together.

Noteworthy Snacks

I finally got Frutta Bowl again... SOOO YUMMY! I love their bowls. I also had Mogo... I love Mogo but I ordered something different and I'm not sure it was enough food.

Funyuns... I love how crispy these are... and I'm kind of liking onions a lot lately because my mom's been making a lot of salsas... so that's a new flavor I really like a lot.

I also like the Purple Doritos, which are the Sweet Spicy Chili Flavor... which are also really good and flavorful!

TV Highlights

I watched another episode of The Bachelor Greatest Seasons Ever and they showed the first season of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette and they showed some of Trista's wedding. I actually watched the first season of The Bachelorette and I was rooting for Trista to choose Ryan so I was really happy for that! I liked Charlie a lot too but I'm happy she chose Ryan and that they're still together and they have a life together. They're so cute and they have a lovely family.

News and World Events

Okay this technically happened last week but DRAMAGEDDON 3 in the beauty community. Tati made a video saying that Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star gaslighted her into making a video against James Charles where she accused him of some really horrible things. I believe most of what Tati said in her video. It all seemed to make sense... and as someone that was a big fan of Shane Dawson... I'm really disappointed. He admitted that he knew Tati was making the video... that's enough for him to be more guilty than he is letting on... so yeah.

Ohhh and I think this happened either this week or last week but Amy Cooper was arrested for calling the police saying that she was being attacked by a black man in Central Park when he wasn't attacking her at all- Chistian Cooper (no relation) simply asked her to put a leash on her dog. He was just minding his business bird watching. She was fired right after the incident but no legal action was taken and now she's been arrested... so that's a good thing at least.

And of corse the very tragic news about Naya Rivera. I'm sure you've heard this story but the actress that played Santana on Glee went on a boating trip with her 4 year old son and it is believed that a riptide got her and she's now presumed dead and there are still search teams looking for her. Her family are in my thoughts right now, especially her son who was found alone on the boat after she disappeared.

Thoughts

I know the news is all kind of sad this week... I would love to put a more uplifting story at the end here to make things better... but there aren't really any that I know of right now... I'm sure there was some more uplifting stuff but... I just don't know or can't recall it right now... so I guess here's a good spot to quote John Lennon- Be The Change You Want To See In The World.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
