Movie Monday: 10 Movies That Make Me Happy

Alright guys! It's movie Monday and... I didn't watch any movies this week... so I'll talk about some movies that I've seen recently or semi recently that made me happy.

1) Mirai- I need to do a full review of this on my other blog (The Cozy Princess)... but this was just a super cute movie that was just really beautiful and it will make you laugh and cry and it might make you nostalgic too. This is a Japanese Animation movie- I guess it's animae style but it's just a nice slice of life movie told from the perspective of a young boy who just recently became a big brother- and his sister's name is Mirai which means future- and we meet Mirai from the future too... and it's just a really nice movie that I think would cheer anyone up.

2) The Art of Racing in The Rain- This is such a sweet movie. I've already done a review on this- but it's about a man's relationship with his dog and it's his life told from the dog's perspective... and it is very cute and sweet. I loved it and I really want to watch that one again!

3) Poms- I did a review of this one too- but this is one that I wasn't expecting to like and I just tivoed it so that my mom could see it... but it was really sweet and it made me cry. It's not the best movie in the world- but if you want to laugh and smile this is a cute movie to watch.

4) Crazy Rich Asians- Am I cheating by picking all movies I reviewed recently? Possibly... but this movie did really make me happy. I ended up watching it 3 times in one week and honestly- I'm not sick of it! I could still watch it again and again! It's a really good one!

5) Always Be My Maybe- So this I also reviewed... and I was reminded of it because it stars Constance Wu from Crazy Rich Asian's tv husband from when she was on Fresh Off The Boat! Randall Park and Ali Wong are adorable in this movie and I feel like I have an extra connection to it because my boyfriend and I watched it while we were on vacation last year... and I miss that a lot.

6) 10 Things I Hate About You- I watch this movie all the time when it's on! It is one of my favorite movies and I just never really get sick of it. It's really cute and kind of underrated in the grand scheme of things lol.

7) My Big Fat Greek Wedding- This can't be a list without My Big Fat Greek Wedding. This is one of my favorite movies ever and again- I always watch it when it's on! It hasn't been on as much lately- but it's so good! And I got my boyfriend to like it too- so double win for that! Lol.

8) Home Alone- I can't believe I almost finished writing this list without one of my favorite movies... actually I'm including Home Alone 2 in this also because Home Alone 2 is my real favorite. Idk why- but this year I just kind of became obsessed with the first 2 Home Alone movies... and I still think they're really funny and cute.

9) Addams Family Values- This is another one of those movies I can't believe I almost forgot about... this is such a funny movie that once again... I ALWAYS watch. Joan Cusack is sooo funny in this movie- she's the best part! Except for everything else in the movie because it's perfect!

10) Despicable Me and Minions- I was kind of trying not to include cartoons in this one because... for the most part all cartoons make me happy (not The Queen's Corgi...) But I can't not have Despicable Me on the list! This is the #1 movie that cheered me up in college when I was getting stressed out. And honestly- it's still the #1 movie that's cheered me up through everything. Pretty much all of these movies have come out at an important time in my life and I just really like them.

Anyway that is it for the week! Hope you guys like this list!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
