Weekly Wrap Up 10.9.16

Favorites

Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice  (Cider)- I think this is my new favorite Fall drink from Starbucks. As much as I love the PSL and Salted Caramel Mocha... and will probably keep getting those because I need the caffeine... this drink is so much tastier! Its just really really yummy! Just such a good drink! I love it!

Hocus Pocus- I watched this movie twice this week... I've watched this movie as long as I can remember... never gets old for me! It is the perfect Halloween movie! Its so funny and there are some genuinely real spooky moments in there too! The scares in the beginning before the Sanderson Sisters are brought to the 20th century are the best for me. Like there's one decoration of a skeleton that pops up and its really scary, but its in a not-that-scary moment... so its just kind of a jump... I just thought that was pretty cool this time watching it. And I feel like I notice something different every time watching it too, like I noticed this time that the mom looks soooo different when she's not dressed as Madonna... never noticed that before! It was just kind of cool!

Life Scribbles
- Monday is when I first tried the Starbucks Apple Cider and also went to Dunkin Donuts in search of a cider donut from there... they didn't have any, but I got the cronut and that was really really yummy.
-Tuesday my mom and I did a lot of running around and then later we went out to eat... and we had the Apple Cider again and got one for my sister.
Wednesday
- Thursday I went to Red Bank and I searched for a Rite Aid... and I found it but it wasn't in a good spot to walk to... so I didn't go there... but I did do some damage at Alex and Ani... and I got free Starbucks! I think it was a pay-it-forward thing... no one ever said that though when I was in the store... so I didn't realize it was a pay-it-forward thing and didn't pay for the next person. I don't think anyone was behind me though... I decided to give a bigger tip for the employees... because that is paying it forward in a different way.
-Friday I thought I had a birthday party to go to... but that wasn't until Saturday... so I went over to my friends house instead and we watched Disney movies. Lol.
- Saturday was the birthday party. It was a surprise party, which is always extra fun!

TV Highlights
I've been liking Let's make a deal a lot this week. Wayne Brady is just a good host. And I like seeing the prizes!

I missed a lot of tv this week actually... Nothing really on on Monday, Tuesday was the Vice Presidential debate... Wednesday was a pretty good episode of AHS. Blackish and Modern Family were pretty good too... I didn't pay much attention to The Goldbergs... I watched Speechless, which I'm starting to like a lot, but I didn't totally pay attention to that either.

Noteworthy Snacks
Apple Cider.

Dove has these little mini dove bars out for halloween I guess. They are so good an so fresh, I might like them a little better than an actual dove bar!

I had good pumpkin pancakes and pumpkin cheesecake!

News and World Events
Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris this weekend. While this is very serious... despite some people thinking it is for the insurance money because Kanye is deep in debt- which hopefully it isn't, even though that makes sense... but also BE SMART WITH YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA! Don't be checking into every damn place you go to. Don't travel with millions of dollars worth of jewelry! I don't care how rich and famous you are... you don't need that to travel and don't let people know where you are 24/7. No one needs to know! Just be very, very careful with things. The world is not always a nice place.

In other sad celebrity news... Lindsay Lohan lost part of her finger in a boating accident. If you look up the pictures... its a little bit gross... so I wouldn't advise it. Just take my word for it... its gross. Hope she recovers!

Harry Potter is coming back to theaters in Imax... not sure if its IMAX 3d... not sure if 3d is still really a thing. I know I saw the last movie in 3d... not sure if that's what they're going for with this Imax  release... but that's exciting! In all honesty, I'm not going to see them. Imax is pricey and I've already seen these movies hundreds and hundreds of times... I would rather just start buying the movies on Blu Ray... so yeah. But, if you've never seen the movies in theaters, I would highly recommend at least seeing the first couple in theaters. Skip the third... I didn't like the third movie... but yeah. All in all its pretty good!

And if you're a fan of Gilmore Girls, you can drink coffee at Luke's soon. Netflix is converting a few coffee shops throughout the country into a Luke's diner or coffee shop or whatever it is. Netflix also did this with the Bluth Frozen Banana Stand before releasing arrested development... and I believe Netflix also released the Central Perk pop-up coffee shop for the release of Friends on Netflix. So that's cool. Gilmore Girls is one of those things I just couldn't get into... I watched it once and there was no conflict and not much really happened... but some people absolutely love the show... so hopefully they actually get to go there and aren't just saying "I'm totally going there" like I said with the Banana stand and Central Perk...

Hurricane Matthew hit Florida and along the southern coast, I guess you could say. Walt Disney World closed for the 4th time in 45 years... so that's kind of scary. All the other theme parks in Florida closed too... If you want to see some interesting videos on it... Justin Scarred on Youtube did some great ones! They were on the news and everything!

There was some other stuff with the presidential candidates this week... you can google that cause I'm not doing politics. I have opinions... but this isn't the place for that. There's a reason we have the right to choose... so its good to respect what other people think as long as they respect you!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
