Scribbles About Music: Throwback Thursday Edition- Champagne for My Real Friends, Real Pain for My Sham Friends by Fall Out Boy

Now for the 8th song from From Under The Cork Tree!

Of all the songs I really like on this CD and that I've always liked... this might be my least favorite of all of them. There's nothing bad about it, but its just the worst of the best.

Even listening to it now I'm like "Yeah okay... there's a lot too this song... but maybe its too much and its just a little boring." I'm sure people have lyrics from this song as tattoos... but I don't understand why this song would need to be on anyone's body for the rest of their life. Its not bad... its just like if the rest of the songs were Ben and Jerry's... this song would be the Up and Up brand of Ice Cream... not saying Up and Up is bad... its just not Ben and Jerry's.

I like the line about the matches... I don't understand what they're saying and I feel like this blog is more authentic if I don't look it up... so I'm not going to. Thats my favorite line of the song though. "Strike us like matches cause everyone deserves a flame" whatever the chorus is I guess is the best way to say it. Lol.

And I like the song, I like the meaning of the song... I think its a good message... but its not Ben and Jerry's, its Up and Up brand. We've already gone over one of the songs I don't like... so this is one that I like but it's just kind of more mediocre than the other songs.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
