Scribbles About TV: Fall Shows I'm excited for

So this year, there are actually quite a few shows I'm excited to see. A couple I've seen already thanks to early previews online, but yeah there are quite a few.

Fox
I'm starting with Fox because I don't really know what they have this year, but so far there is one thing I'm very very interested in. Want to take a guess? Gotham of corse! I'm a huge Batman fan and when I heard about a series... I damn near lost it. I love a good villain origin story, that is probably my favorite type of weirdly specific subgenre, but I'm a total sucker for it. It'll be like Once Upon a Time, but with Batman Villains. Super super pumped. Also Jada Pinkett Smith is in it and she looks super cool in the trailers.

NBC

NBC has a couple things I think look interesting. I already saw the pilot for From A to Z and I wasn't that impressed with it. There was nothing amazing about it, the characters were blah. It wasn't horrible, but I won't be rewatching the pilot when it airs, so I probably won't watch anything else.

The comedy on here that I am really excited for is Marry Me. It stars the lovely Casey Wilson and the amazing Ken Marino. It's created by David Caspe, aka Casey's new husband and creator of Happy Endings. And it looks even better than Happy Endings. The trailer seemed really cute and the characters seemed interesting and funny. I don't know, I just am actually pumped about this show and I wish they had a preview of this out already.

Bad Judge is another one I kind of want to watch and its sort of a guilty pleasure. Say what you will, but I love Kate Walsh. I think she's beautiful and funny and she can be serious and I liked her as a doctor, why wouldn't I like her as a judge. This is also a weird genre I've started noticing pop up here and there. Just take a profession and make someone bad at it. Bad Santa, Bad Teacher, and now Bad Judge. I think there should be way more of these. Lol.

And I'm a little excited for Constantine. I never saw the movie, but its one of those movies I've always wanted to see. I don't watch Grim very often either, but I think this and Grim being on at the same night is a perfect combo and it sounds like a nice Friday Night in or Saturday recorded watching day. It looks good.

ABC
ABC Probably has the shows I'm most excited about.

Forever is one I've already seen the pilot of and I was already looking forward to it and now I want to see it EVEN MORE! The pilot was really good and exciting and I really cannot wait to see where it goes. The characters are all interesting and I like their relationships together and its just a really great concept that they pull off really well. Another show it reminds me of in some aspects is Pushing Daisies. That was a fantastical world that really happened inside of the real world and they pulled that off really well. In Pushing Daisies there were lots of rules to Ned's affliction though, there aren't as many rules in Forever. Also Ned didn't really question why he could bring people, plants and animals back from the dead, he just accepted his powers and used them for good. Forever he uses his powers for good also, but he wants to find out why he can live forever. Anyhoo its really good.

Selfie was one that I was excited for, and I saw the pilot and I think I'm still going to watch it... but I'm also sort of like "meh. I don't totally need this in my life." If something better comes on at that time I'll give up on this... but other than that I'm on board. It's charming and a clever idea for a show.

How To Get Away With Murder is another one I'm super intrigued by. First off, we don't really know what its about. Is she really teaching these kids to murder? I'm so excited. And I'm not an avid watcher of Grey's or Scandal right now, but I really like those shows and I admire Shonda Rhimes for creating them. Viola Davis is also completely awesome, so yeah I think that'll be quite good.

FX
I'm obviously excited for American Horror Story: Freak Show. I love AHS and I'll probably do recaps on that on this blog too because I really like reviewing AHS. I have a feeling this one is going to be really scary though and it might be hard for me to watch let alone review. When Asylum was on, I had to take a huge break from watching the show because I couldn't deal with it.

I think that's everything I'm excited for. I'd also like to mention the show from last year that I will miss the most, other than Community of corse... but that is The Neighbors. It seems like an awful concept for a show, but it was hilarious and clever and they pulled it off really well in my opinion. I'm going to miss Larry Bird and Jackie Joyner Coursey (no idea if thats how you spell it... lol). It was just really funny and I loved it and the season finale left it so that the third season would have been so so funny.

Anyway that's all.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
