Throwback Thursday: Old Microfiction Story I wrote!

Heyyy everyone! A few years ago I took a creative writing class and we learned about Microfiction, which is just a really short short story... and I wrote one, not for class... just for fun. I was going to write one of these a day... but that never happened. Maybe I'll start doing this more often again? Also I've revised this a bit... so I guess it isn't that much of a throwback... but you know.

The Halloween Party

It was at a Halloween Party that they met. She only went to the party to upstage her ex's new girlfriend. He was only going to impress the cute intern at his office that he thought might like him. He wanted to dress as Batman, but seeing as how a Batman movie just came out... he decided against it. He dressed as Robin instead, figuring there would probably be no other Robins.

She dressed as Sexy Batgirl. Not slutty BatGirl, because she didn't want to actually get back with her ex. She just wanted to look good enough so that she could rub it in his face, not because she liked revenge but because she liked Justice. She was cheated on, and he needed to see what he was missing out on.

When she saw Robin, she couldn't help but laugh. A superhero party and someone was dressed as Robin! Maybe she should talk to this guy... he was kind of cute.

"Hey Boy Wonder," she said, "Want a drink?"

"Nahhh," he said. He couldn't focus on Batgirl right now, he had spotted the intern, dressed as Poison Ivy. He wondered why she decided to dress as a villain when he knew that she was such a sweet girl... well he thought anyway. "I'm kind of here with that Poison Ivy over there."

Batgirl spotted Poison Ivy, and she knew right away... that was her! That was the girl her Ex cheated on her with. She then saw her ex retrieving punch for them both... he was dressed as The Joker. As were most other guys at the party.

"You're with her," Batgirl asked, confused.

"Well, I guess I'm not really with her. She's an intern at my office. I think she likes me," he said "She spilled coffee on me one time."

"Well I hate to break it to you buddy, but she's here with that Joker over there. He's my ex... He cheated on me with her."

"Really! Holy Betrayal Batgirl," Robin exclaimed. "She seemed so sweet. And just looks so nice."

"Well," Batgirl said "villains have to protect their identity too!"

"I only came here tonight to impress her," Robin said "I feel like I've wasted the night."

"I just came here to upstage her. That's even worse," Batgirl said, " I really don't even care about what my ex or her think of me."

They exchanged glances for a moment. Robin looked behind her Batgirl mask deep into her eyes. They were the most beautiful green eyes he'd ever seen. She started blushing because no one had ever looked at her that way before.

"I'm Dave," Robin said.

"I'm Laurie," Batgirl said "How about we ditch this place and go fight crime or something."

"Or we could ditch the costumes and get dinner instead," Dave said.

And so they ditched their costumes and started a wonderful life together.

THE END!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
