Scribbles About TV: Forever Review

I was so excited that ABC showed this on their website early. This is the one show I was actually really excited to see this year, and it did not disappoint.

So the whole "guy that lives forever" thing is interesting enough as it is and I think they pulled it off really really well. They show him die in these spectacular, exciting ways. The first one that we see is him getting into a subway crash. Then he is reborn in the water and comes out naked every time. This is the main character btw, Henry Morgan. Only one other person knows his secret and at the end of the episode, we get to see who this man is and find out why he is the person that knows Henry's Secret. And its actually really sweet, I don't want to spoil it but its a nice little touch that they added to the episode.

It's also a crime show as well though. Henry is a medical examiner and he meets a detective/ pretty lady that is trying to solve what happened on this subway. If it was a homicide or if it was just an accident. Henry finds out that it was a homicide and then he does a lot of sherlocky observations to prove that that was it. He also researches death as a hobby because he's obviously fascinated by it, its the one thing that he can't have! And he has a room and a journal documenting different ways to die.

The characters were all really interesting too. There wasn't a time in the show when I was bored at all, it was just a very easy show to watch and a good show to like. It's not something I can see myself ever being like "okay that was fun but I don't really want to watch any more of it." It's something I'll definitely keep on watching. Really good.

My only complaint is just something that bothers me because I know about writing tv. It was just too easy. Like we can just accept the fact that he knows all of these things because he's lived forever. It's just a little too easy and they don't fully earn every moment on the show. That being said, it did earn most of the moments and I think throughout the series it will get more and more interesting and the stories will be more complex. It has a lot of potential.

I would definitely recommend watching it now if you want to... but the ABC website really REALLY sucks for watching shows on. I would definitely watch it when it comes on tv, which I'll probably still do even though I've seen the episode already. Its a good show and I have a feeling there are going to be episodes that you'll want to see more than once.

Byeee!

P.S. This week might have a lot of scribbles about tv. Lol.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
