So I've been commuting to school 3 days a week, as I have previously mentioned and yesterday was a particularly strange day to say the least.
First off on my way to the train station I heard this conversation. This definitely really happened, I don't know the exact context of the conversation, it may have been a joke, but this is what went down.
Woman: Excuse me do you work on this train?
Man: No
Woman: Do you know if this train is going south or not
Man: I'm not sure, where are you going.
Woman: I don't know!
Man: You don't know?!
Woman: It's none of your business! Go Away!
And I was like Woahhhhhhhhh! Did that shit really just happened. And yes, it did happen. Just like that too! It was so weird. First off: It's pretty easy to tell who works on the train and who doesn't. Usually the person working on the train has a conductors hat and a bunch of ticket taking tools. Second she was the one asking him for directions, she shouldn't be the one telling him to mind his business! Plus she knew she was going south but she didn't know where she was going? This may have been a tactic to not tell the man where she was going.... but still. And also I love that she said "Go Away." Where the hell is he going to go to? It's a train there aren't that many places he could go away too.
Also the train was going north, not south, and I'm pretty sure it said that on the outside. I can understand her being nervous, it was on the 11th, and everyone on the train seemed extra cautious and reflective of the terrible events that happened 13 years ago. The only reason I noticed was because I was trying to be very alert.
Anyway that whole exchange made me laugh. And then on the ride home I feel like I had some funny experiences also.
First off I've noticed this guy that always watches Chopped or Top Chef or something like that on his ipad. I'm pretty sure its chopped, not 100% certain though. But that made me wonder how many episodes of Chopped does he have on his itunes? Are these just all the old episodes or does he have new one. Does this air every Tuesday and Thursday, as those are the times I've seen him watching it. Does he watch the same episode or are there different ones? Then I noticed that the wallpaper on his phone was what looked like a skeleton with some kind of big hat. It looked almost like a pope's hat... but I don't think that was it... That seems weird for a business man that watches cooking shows on his ipad at least twice a week and may watch the same episode multiple times. It looked like a rockstar logo or something, it could have been cover art from some band... but this guy didn't look like someone that would like some sort of crazy thing with a skull on it enough to have it as the wallpaper on his phone. It's really weird.
There was also a point on the train where I could smell either skunk spray or weed... couldn't tell which. I don't smoke weed, I only know the smell from concerts I've been to and I feel like it smells like a skunk but slightly sweeter also mixed with pee (this is why I don't smoke it lol). And it happened right when one guy got up to leave the train. Again he looked like a regular guy that was at work. I couldn't tell if it was a skunk that sprayed the train or if the guy just smoked that much weed that I could still smell it on him. It seemed as though in the situation it was drugs, but it smelled more like skunk. I have no idea.
Anyway that was everything that I have encountered recently. I'm sure this isn't the last train story that there will be.
Also I didn't post yesterday. I posted late on my beauty blog, but I didn't feel like doing a Throwback Thursday. It just didn't feel right of me. I have more Throwback Thursdays coming up. But yeah this is it for right now.
