Scribbles About Movies: 10 Fall Movies I'm excited for!

So there aren't too many movies this month I'm all that excited for, but there are a lot coming up that sound good and that I really want to make a point to go see.

1) Maze Runner- This is coming out next week and I loved the book so I'm really excited to see it! When I was reading the book, there was a lot of stuff I was having trouble visualizing some of the parts, so I think a movie would make it make more sense to me. I had the same trouble with Catching Fire and I really liked the movie because of that. Really excited to see this next week.

2) This is Where I Leave You- I love the idea of this movie, and the cast is probably the best cast ever. Jason Bateman? Tina Fey? Forget it! I'm totally in! So excited for this movie. It looks absolutely amazing I really really cannot WAIT for this! This is probably what I'm most excited to see also. I really like these sort of grown up children dysfunctional family movies. Another weirdly specific genre I like.

3) No Good Deed- This got bad reviews on IMDB I think, but I still think it looks really good. This maybe isn't my first top MUST SEE IN THEATERS movie, I'll probably wait till its on hbo or something, but it looks good and twisty and good to me. I also really like Idris Elba. I liked him in the wire and I think he's a really good villain, so I would love to see him as a villain again. Also my mom said the woman in the movie was on some other show and she really liked her. They killed her off apparently, but she was really good.

4) Gone Girl- Actually this is probably what I'm most excited for. This is my absolute favorite book I've ever read and I think the characters are just so great and interesting that it looks like just an awesome movie all around. Plus I really like the way that they cast it. I think Tyler Perry will be a good Tanner Bolt (this movie's version of Saul Goodman) I think Casey Wilson as Noelle will be AMAZING and Ben Affleck and Rosamund Peak are great choices for Nick and Amy. Really excited for this one, its going to be sooo creepy and good!

5)Not Cool- I think this is available to buy now, and I'm not even sure what it's really about, but Shane Dawson directed it and I'm a big fan! It should be good if it came out of Shane Dawson's insane mind!

6) The Skeleton Twins- This looks funny and sad at the same time. I think Bill Hader and Kristin Wiig are amazing together and it'll be a fun movie. Again its the grown up kids family movie that I really like. Especially since they're twins and Bill Hader is gay, it just makes everything more deep and funnier in my opinion. It looks good! Not sure if I'll see this in theaters, but I'll see it on Netflix or something.

7) Paranormal Activity 5- I really missed that there was no actual Paranormal Activity movie last year. As terrible as Paranormal Activity 4 was, I'm so not done with these movies! I always get excited to see them and more often than not, I have to see them in theaters. Paranormal Activity 3 was brilliant. I loved it.

8) Ouiji- I'm pretty terrified of Ouiji boards, so this movie sounds really scary to me. I didn't even hear about it until I started to look to see what was coming out... now I have to see it! I'm surprised a movie like this hasn't happened before. I haven't seen any previews or anything, but it should be good!

9) Horrible Bosses 2- I loved the original, so I'm super pumped for this. The concept of it seems actually good too. It isn't the same as the first movie, and it doesn't look like a crappy sequel. I really think it'll be promising.

10) Big Hero 6- This looks as adorable and fun as Wreck it Ralph. I love that they are making so many of these movies that kids will enjoy and they are good for kids... but it really is for nerds that like video games and robots and stuff like that. Another weirdly specific subgenre that I totally love!

That is just about everything. There is also Mockingjay pt. 1 that I'm excited for, but thats kind of a give-in I think. I'm pumped for most of these things. Like super duper pumped! Even if I don't see them all in theaters, they look good and I think they will be.

Byee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
