Friends Friday: Other Shows That Are Like Friends

So I think Friends kind of became my favorite show because I like the characters a lot and there are 10 seasons so there are just so many episodes. There are a few shows that are like it a lot and... some of them aren't as good. We'll talk about that too but it's just nice to have a group of friends on a show and... I just kind of like the group dynamic that comes from friends.  How I Met Your Mother  So this is a show I no longer like... the finale just kind of ruined it for me... and I don't know. All of the unrealistic crap that happened throughout the show seems forgivable if Ted ends up with the mother, Barney ends up with Robin and of corse Marshal and Lilly stay together. I always actually pictured them all together on the front porch because Lilly mentioned "The Front Porch Test" while thinking of who Ted would end up with and she'd picture them all on the front porch together and see if they were happy. It's so sad that the mother died so they

Target Tuesday: DVDS/Blu Rays on My Target Wish List

Okay so I know there are so many different streaming services... but I still always like buying the DVDs or blu rays. And it's my mom's birthday coming up so I know she likes when I buy some movies that she wanted to see for her and while I was looking- I saw some things I wanted.  So first off The Art Of Racing In The Rain- this is probably one of my moms favorite books that she's read recently and I think she might have dvred the movie... but I think she might like to own it. She thought the casting was good so- I think she'll really like it.  For me- I saw a 4 movie Batman Collection with the Michael Keaton Batman movies and the other 2 ones... I'm interested in that. It's been kinda hard to find these movies and we have them on VHS still... but I don't think we have a way to watch VHS tapes anymore so... I'm interested. It's 14.99 so not too bad.  There's a Gremlins and Gremlins 2 set for 7.49... I've never seen Gremlins and I always want

Movie Monday: Crazy Rich Asians

Alright! The Movie of the day- Crazy Rich Asians! I saw this movie when it was in theaters- I haven't seen it since then... well technically I watched this movie twice before I was able to write this cause... I was playing Animal Crossing for a little bit during the first watch... so I needed to watch it a second time for review... Also I didn't read the book yet- but it's the next one on my list of things to read I think because I really love the movie.  The movie is really well paced first off. It starts out really fast... but in a really good way! You get who the characters are right away... You see Rachel Chu at her job as an Economics Professor- teaching Game Theory by destroying one of her students at Poker. This comes into play at the end of the movie too so it's nice that it sets up the end really quickly in the movie too. Plus right away Rachel and Nick have been dating for a year and they're in love and they're adorable and he asks her to Singapore for

Weekly Wrap Up 5.24.20

Favorites  Animal Crossing Villager Hunting Videos- So I'm obsessed with Animal Crossing because... lets' face it... it's the only fun thing to do right now... but I've been watching a lot of people go on hunts for their favorite villagers like Raymond. One of my Villagers moved out this week so I will be hunting and really... I want Julian but... I'd be happy with a lot of the favorite villagers lol. All of my Animal Crossing posts are on  this  blog.  Crazy Rich Asians- I've seen this movie 3 times this week! And I might see it a 4th time... I'm not sure... but It is a really cute movie and I will have a review on it tomorrow. There's a reason I've watched so much!  Community- This is the show I've been watching this week. I've seen most of it before- I think I just haven't seen the 6th season... but this is on Netflix now- I have the DVD series... so I've started it from the beginning and it's really clever and funny.  Bath and

New Girl Season 4 Review

So New Girl Season 4 is a lot different... but still really funny. CeCe isn't with Schmidt, Nick isn't with Jess... Coach is still in the Loft and overall everything is a little different- but still really funny.  Also- I'm pretty sure my past 3 reviews I spelled CeCe as CeeCee ... I'm sorry!  I had seen some of these episodes but I don't think I saw all of them- and some of them I really didn't pay that much attention too... I think I watched them while doing homework or... blogging or something but I the episodes I remembered most from the season were The Finale, the episode where Jess thinks she has a bag of meth that was in an ottoman she bought at a flea market and Winston has a background check for the police academy, I remembered some of Jess dating Ryan but not all of it... and Fawn Moscato. It was a good season overall... I still think Season 2 is my favorite overall but this one might be a second or third favorite.  I like Coach a lot and I was happy t

Friends Friday: Phoebe Buffay- The Greatest Artist of Our Generation

So on Friends Friday I'm going to post WHATEVER I want about Friends. I've seen every episode of Friends at least a million times and it's a show I pretty much watch daily- lately I've been watching it pretty much all day... so there are things I pick up on. Sure the episodes are still the same as they've always been... but I change every time I watch an episode. So with that... let's do a little bit of a Phoebe Buffay Appreciation Post!  Phoebe might be my favorite Friend. It has switched a lot over the years... but I feel like if you asked someone that knew me which friend I was most like... they'd probably say Phoebe. In fact I'm pretty sure my roommate my sophomore year of college said "Yeah, you're definitely a Phoebe" and I don't think she knew me that well really... but she lived with me and I appreciated the thought of her thinking me like a Phoebe.  So aside from my personal connection with Phoebe- She really is a talented pers

Gold Peak Maine Blueberry Iced Tea Review

Hey guys! So I LOVE Gold Peak Iced Tea. Their best one is the Raspberry Iced Tea... it tastes like Candy. Speaking of things that taste like candy... I just had the sweetest White Mocha I've ever had from Starbucks. It was delicious!  ANYWAY This is a really good blueberry flavor... it isn't too sweet... but it tastes fruity and really good. Not like candy... but still really good.  It's sweeter than the Pure Leaf Blueberry... I think they made a blueberry one... But this tastes better than that... but it's not quite as good as if you order the Blueberry Iced Tea from Chilis with Extra Syrup. You need to get the extra syrup- but they taste really good!  I think Gold Peak Iced Tea's  are my favorite across the board. I used to like the Long Island Iced Teas the best- and I used to really love the Arizona Iced Teas... but these ones are definitely the best.  Anyway hope you guys like this! I really like this! Let me know what you think of this iced tea!  Bye!  -Shanno

Making a Card: Caligraphy and whatnot.

Hey guys! So my mom really wanted to make a card for my grandmother's for Mother's Day because she didn't trust getting cards from the card store right now. I have other card making posts on this blog... I'll link those right  here  and  here . This is similar to the one that I made for my mom's birthday... but I used actual calligraphy pens this time instead of the crayolagraphy markers and I feel like I now understand calligraphy. this is the first one I did and you can probably see this has some ink smudges on it... so this one went to my mom.  So what I noticed was that WAYYY too much ink was coming out of my pen when I was writing the letters and I think that was because I was writing like how I would normally write. In the calligraphy book that I have they show steps to making each letters and that's how you want to make them. You need to do short strokes and not have the pen touch the paper for too long because that's how you get the thinner writing t

Target Tuesday: Target Haul (and kind of a fail)

Alright so I ordered from Target once again! This might not be that exciting because it's 3 things I've talked about in my Book Wish List and then 2 jewelry things- one didn't work out... so let's talk about it.  Okay... so there were 2 fails kinda sort of I guess. One was probably just because of Covid 19 shipping processes... but Target always offers something where you could have everything ship in the fewest packages possible. This still shipped in 3 of 4 packages. I think 2 of the books came together, one of the books came in another package and the jewelry pieces shipped separately... or maybe the earrings were in with the book... let me double check actually... Yes it was 4 packages. So... I still saved the dollar because you get a dollar off if you chose that- but it came in 4 packages still. I think it's great that they offer it I'm glad not everything was in a different package. But still.  So the earrings were kind of the fail. I like these earrings b

Weekly Wrap Up: 5.17.20

Favorites  Friends Friday- OKAY SHANNON WE GET IT YOU LIKE FRIENDS! I love friends you guys! I have pretty much been watching it all day every day during the pandemic...and while that might be kind of bad... I feel like watching Friends really de-stresses me and... it's just something I feel like I need right now. With that- I've also realized I love talking about Friends... so I'm going to have a post about Friends every friday on this blog. Now I don't have any real structure to it... it's just anything Friends related. My favorite 2 episodes changed recently so that's what I've posted so far but I also have a character appreciation post coming out this friday, I have a list of shows that are like Friends... and I think I'm going to maybe comment on some fan theories and maybe write some of my own. Or I'll just talk about specific jokes and stuff... I have a lot of ideas. I may also start re-watching it from the beginning and post about the episode

New Girl Season 3 Review

New Girl Season 3 was also really funny... but there were some episodes I didn't totally love... I think one of the high points of the season is the episode with Prince- which Fun Fact aired after the Super Bowl that year... but that is the episode where Nick first tells Jess that he loves her and Jess responds by giving him finger guns... then Nick crashes Prince's party (along with Schmidt, Winston and Coach) and takes back his "I Love You"... which Jess doesn't want... and eventually Prince convinces Jess to tell Nick how she really feels and they're both able to say that they love each other by the end of the episode. So while I think that episode is great... the episode following that is a little less interesting. Nick sees his ex girlfriend Caroline at a farmer's market with Jess and she goes CRAZY saying that Nick cheated on her with Jess... which is a little weird because Nick and Caroline dated before Jess showed up and she broke up with him-

Friends Friday: My Favorite Episodes Changed

Hey guys! I wanted to post more about the show Friends... and since I've been watching it basically all the time I figured I'd just post about it on Friday's sometimes. This might be an every friday thing, this might be an `every other Friday thing... this might just be something I do from time to time... but this is what I'll talk about today! Lol. I already have an idea for next week's post.  New Favorite Episodes  I feel like favorite episodes can constantly change... but I've had the same 2 favorites for a while now. "The One With All The Thanksgivings" and "The One Where Chandler Takes A Bath." It shifts between the 2 episodes but these are both so funny. I love The One With All The Thanksgivings because I like when the gang is all together in one place- plus we got the flashback of 4 of the characters... which is always fun! And Chandler taking a bath is really funny too... so I like that one... but I do have some favorites that I feel

What I Will/ Won't Do After This Is Done

So... I'm not an expert- I'm not sure exactly what I'll be doing and what I won't be doing. These are just kind of my ideas of what's going to happen when things get back to normal.  Will- Wear A Mask In Public as Long as Necessary  I'm definitely planning on still wearing a mask. Masks are good because while it might not prevent me from getting sick, if I get sick or if I am a carrier- it can prevent other people from getting it. It's hard to wear for a long time- and obviously I'll have to take it off for eating and drinking... but I think it will help.  Won't- Travel... for a while  I wanted to travel out of state this year... but I don't think that would be fun right now. I don't think I'd be able to go to work or see any of my family for 2 weeks if I had to self isolate after so... I don't think this is the year for that. Last year I vacationed in Atlantic City- and they've mentioned their reopening plan recently... I don'

I NEED TO TALK ABOUT BIG ED AND ROSE!!!! 90 day Fiance thoughts

Alright guys- so I know basically nothing about 90 Day Fiance... I don't even know if I saw an episode- basically I just watched whatever I could find on youtube about Big Ed and Rose because my boyfriend sent me a link for Big Ed's story and I just kept watching whatever I could about those two. I think this might follow different pre-engagement stories of different couples and this one just kind of went viral from what I'm gathering... but... it's bad.  Alright so Big Ed claims to be a man that was single for 28 years after his wife divorced him because he cheated on her. Already Big Ed sounds like a winner right? But then he was lurking on facebook and meets this beautiful 23 year old girl named Rose... Do the math and Ed's been single for more than her entire life... allegedly? And I say allegedly because  somehow I think Big Ed's lying about some of it... but I could also see him being single not by choice for more than 20 years because... he isn't real

Music Monday: Camilla Cabello- Romance

This is another album that I just really loved. It's been out for a while- but I finally got around to listening to the whole thing not too long ago and I really loved it!  I was surprised by how much I love it actually. Camilla Cabello has a great voice- but they play her singles too much on the radio and I had gotten a little bit tired of them... but this album is just a really sweet album about falling in love.  Romance is very relatable for anyone who's ever been in love... and it's like a nice healthy love that she shows in the song and whenever I listen to it I think "Aww I'm so happy that I know how this feels and I hope everyone feels this sometime in their life." It's really cute. The last song on the album is called First Man and it's just such a beautiful song about how important family is in romance also she played this song at the Grammy's and it was just such a powerful performance. This is a song that's impossible to listen to wi

Weekly Wrap Up: 5.10.20

Alright I'm bringing back Weekly Wrap Up! So this is something I used to do... in 2016 it looks like I listed my favorites, talked about some things that happened during the week, I listed some noteworthy snacks, I talked a little about News and World Events, the best thing that happened in TV that week, thoughts and clickables. It looks like in 2017 I just talked about what I did during the week... I liked the 2016 version better but I'm not sure I'll have all of the categories.  Favorites  New Girl- I'm watching New Girl right now... and I've been doing reviews of it- I'm almost done I'm on the end of season 6... Season 7 is the last season and it's only 8 episodes... so I think I'll probably be done with it pretty soon. It's not as good in this season... but I still love the characters- it's really cute!  Animal Crossing Plushes- Okay so I've been playing Animal Crossing almost every day since it's been released... and I ordered so

New Girl Season 2 Review *Spoilers*

Okay... New Girl Season 2 is probably the funniest... I'm going to try to post these weekly- as long as I'm caught up with the season. I just watched the Thanksgiving episode of Season 4 so... that's where I'm at now. ANYWAY Season 2 had SOOOO many great episodes and moments. We have Nick and Jess's first kiss and their first hookup... plus they finally get together in the finale. A whole lot happens this season and they kind of do it in the funniest ways possible. That's kind of the beauty of this season... they didn't just get Nick and Jess together... they got them together in the weirdest and funniest way they could. It all happened when the guys went out and left Jess at home because Nick couldn't get a girl if Jess was with him because- even though Jess was with Sam at the time... she was pretty dependent on Nick for everything. And when Nick comes over with a girl that he and Schmidt are both trying to get... Jess tries to get Nick with her.

Grace and Frankie Review

Okay, so I'm finally caught up on Grace and Frankie after several seasons! All it took was a global pandemic! Just kidding- that isn't funny! After Season 3 though... I wasn't really sure about the series. I didn't think it was as good as it used to be... but the show is always funny and it got a lot better very quickly after that season!  an I think Season 6 was my favorite- that is the most recent season! Grace is newly married to Nick, who is much younger than she is and she's feeling a little insecure because of her recent knee surgery- she isn't able to do the things that she used to do. She ends up getting stuck on the toilet and she has to call Frankie to help her get up! This gives Frankie the idea for The Rise Up- a toilet designed to help older people or people that had surgery get off of the toilet. They even go on Shark Tank to pitch the idea!  The season also ends in the funniest way... and I don't really want to spoil it- but... they haven'

Snack Review: Fudge Lovers M&Ms!

Okay! I think these might be one of my favorite M&M flavors to come out in the past few years.  One thing I like about these is that you really can't eat too many of them because they're very rich... so it's kind of nice to have a salty snack and then have this as kind of a dessert to that snack.  The filling in this is also really delicious so I kind of like biting it in half and eating the filling in one piece and then eating the chocolate shell... it's easy to do and it's just kind of fun. Do you guys ever eat candy in a weird way so that you can see the filling on the inside? I do that with Kit Kats and Samoas sometimes too lol.  The filling on the inside tastes like dark chocolate kind of... but it's also gooey because it's fudge and its sweet but like a rich cake. It's really different than the other M&Ms.  I think that's all I really need to say about that... but I really like these and if you happen to see them and you want something

The Holiday Review

So after watching the movie Love Actually- I had to watch another Christmas Rom Com- so I chose The Holiday. I'm not sure I had quite as many insights as I did on Love Actually... but I do have some thoughts and some favorites with this movie so... I thought I could mention them here.  If you've never seen or heard of this movie it follows 2 different leads and 2 different stories.  Cameron Diaz plays Amanda- an ambitious and successful movie trailer editor. She lives in Los Angeles and is going through a break up from a pretty loveless relationship with her boyfriend- who cheated on her with his secretary. She decides after the breakup that she needs to get away, and sees this beautiful little house in England- which is owned by Kate Winslet's character Iris. Iris is going through a similar lonely situation at Christmas. She was in a toxic relationship with a co-worker who ended up cheating on her with another co worker... but she had to remain friends with him because the

Target Tuesday: Target Book Wish List

So I was thinking of things to write about and I was like "I like Target Tuesday... and I have a lot of books on my loves list at the moment." Let's check out what's on there! Some of these are just books that I liked the cover of and I decided to put it in my loves list and I looked at the description after... and some are authors I know... so let's just start it! Not The Girl You Marry by Andie J Christopher  Okay... this looked like a cute book. And I'm just seeing now there's a dog on the cover too! So yeah... there's a dog in the book- I kind of want it. The book is also a reversed How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days  and I love that movie... so I totally want to read this book to see how that is. It sounds really funny. Plus its more modern than the movie so that would be good too. OHHH This might not have been the liked based on the cover... it might be the next book from the same author and then I saw this was How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days... s
