What Did I Do In January?

So- I thought a monthly wrap up type of post might be fun... I didn't do everything I thought I'd do this month... I don't think I accomplished everything I wanted to... but still! I think I did a lot of fun stuff... and it's going to be good. So first off- I wanted to post daily in January... didn't do that. I missed the 12th, 14th, 15th, 21st,22nd,25th, and 26th... so I feel like I owe you guys a week of double posts... but I did have some excuses. 1) I have been super tired after work. I was opening a lot this month- which I do really like... but it makes me tired at the end of the night most of the time... and I don't really get to do anything else. Also- I get 2 days off a week... and usually when I get days off I spend them away from the computer. So... there's that too. I don't think I actually saw any movies in theaters in January... there was nothing really that good out. The last thing I saw was Mary Poppins Returns and that was on New Year

Movie Ideas: Grown Up Version of Hey Diddle Diddle

So I always like to think of live action reboots of things... actually my boyfriend and I ALWAYS talk about edgy reboots or live action remakes. He showed me a video of an edgy version of Humpty Dumpty... which was great. Anyway... So Hey Diddle Diddle would be about a Cat that played the fiddle obviously. This cat becomes so famous from playing the fiddle. He plays it left hand- but made it to far... wait that's Ziggy Stardust. But yeah- the Cat plays the fiddle so good- people are forgetting about his other band members... one of his other band members-The Fork- gets jealous and starts his own rock band- with a song called Hey Diddle Diddle... basically think of it as a Hey There Delilah type of deal. The Fork went through a bad breakup and wanted someone to hear him... he wanted love. Cat needed a plan to get the Fork to quit music for good... and he knows the fork is looking for love- so he sets him up with the perfect lady... The Spoon. The Spoon was everything the Fork wa

The ABSOLUTE WORST Opening Scene To Any Movie...

So I was watching Comedy Central... and a movie I've seen a few times came on- and I thought "This is a weird way to start this movie..." So let's talk about it. Let's start with the movie in question: We're The Millers. The movie stars Jason Sudekis and Jennifer Aniston with Emma Roberts and Will Poulter (from Bandersnatch). Anyway the poster kind of put it very bluntly, Sudekis is a Drug Dealer, Jennifer Aniston plays a stripper, Emma Roberts is a runaway teen and Will Poulter is the nerdy virgin. Jason Sudekis is the main star of the movie so he's kind of like a regular guy who's just kind of a slacker drugdealer... and the opening scene is supposed to convey that to us... The group has to later band together and pretend to be a family to try to sneak drugs from Mexico to the US. So what do they show us to open this movie?  This video...   The viral Double Rainbow video. And then its followed by other viral videos to show us Jason Sudekis' c

Bachelor Nation Buzz: Battle of the Pageant Queens!

Alright! This week on The Bachelor we had a Pirate Competition, a really cute one on one date- and a test of strength. At the end of the night Catherine (the villain of episode 1... who I was just starting to like), Bri (Miss Fake Australia), Caitlin and Nina all went home. So first off- the Pirate Date. Odd choice for a date... this is a venue somewhat like Medieval Times... it kind of loosened everyone up and it was a pretty fun way for Colton to get to know the ladies. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun with it. Tracy and Caelynn faced off in a Pirate Battle, which Caelynn won and shared a very awkward kiss with Colton afterwards. Colton and Caelynn have kissed before and it wasn't awkward... so I'm surprised that it was so awkward. Maybe it was just unexpected and with an audience or something... but it was weird. They even commented on how weird it was when they were hanging out in the antique shop. Anyway while they were playing the Pirate games- we did get a pretty

Best Buy Blu Ray Haul

I went to Best Buy recently with my boyfriend of corse... I feel like I talk about him in every single post... but I spend a lot of time with him. We found some good Blu Rays at pretty good prices... so I picked up quite a few movies... and I even watched a couple of them! First and foremost we found one of my favorite movies that used to be on TV quite a lot but I haven't seen it on recently... What We Do In The Shadows! This was on Blu Ray for 7.99 or 8.99 or something. I was super excited to find that- my boyfriend's never seen the movie so he's excited to watch it too... I think he'll like it. The movie is about a group of vampires that are roommates... it's a fake documentary type of style. Really funny movie- excited to finally own this! Next up we saw Sorry To Bother You... which was out in the summer and we both wanted to see... We didn't totally know what it was about or anything- but it was only 9.99 and we thought it'd be good for that price.

Favorite Fast Food Items

I'm not really a huge fast food eater... but I have kind of been getting it a lot lately and I'm always a little curious about what people order at places where the menu is kind of limited... so I thought I would share a few of my favorites... I might share a few more another time- I don't know if there's anything I'm forgetting. But I thought this would be fun for now so let's start with it! These are in no order. 1) Wendy's Frosty- I just had a frosty this week... and it was amazing. I got a chocolate one... and I ate it with a spoon until it was a little melty and then I drank it with a straw... which is a little difficult. I wish that they made a thick straw for the Frosty's because that would definitely make it easier to drink... and I do like drinking Frosty's also. Frosty's are one of those simple things in life that are amazing. They've always been there, they've always been good and they don't let me down! 2) McDonald'

It List: January 2019

I think one of my  goals for this year is to actually improve this blog and actually take some more time writing my posts... that's partially why I haven't been writing "daily" as much either because I really haven't been feeling great and I've just been super tired to write... but this isn't an excuse intro! I'll try to get back on track soon! I just wanted to kind of say I might bring back some of my old favorite posts and the It List is definitely one I'm bringing back! This is all of the stuff I can't get enough of this month and I can't wait to share them with you guys! 1) Sabrina The Teenage Witch- I was really excited when Netflix announced The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina- and I LOVED that show- but it did have me longing for my childhood favorite- the much more lighthearted Melissa Joan Hart Sabrina. One day I was just looking at DVDs at Target- and I saw that they had the complete series on DVD... and I was like "SOLD!&qu

Collecting Things: Transformers Bot Bots Review and Pictures

So my boyfriend works at a store and he told me they have these really cute new Transformers toys that turn into school supplies, food, or household items... and I thought that was adorable. To me it seems like the Transformers version of Shopkins... which just sounds like a lot of fun for me. And so I got a set of them that they had at Target... and now I'm going to show some pictures and my thoughts on each one. Plus how I think it'll be for kids and stuff... I have a feeling this will be something adults collect too- like Shopkins cause I've seen adults collect shopkins. Anyway here is the pack I got and my thoughts. This one was actually the one "Mystery" bot in the package... there's one you can't see in the packages like the one I got and this was it. So this is the transformed version of the game controller named "Game Over". Like I said- he was a mystery so he's one of the "Lost Bots" you can collect. He's one of

What's On My Cutesy Display Shelf- January 2019

So a few days ago I saw this display shelf thing that looked like it would be super cute in my room... and I could kind of use it to store some of my cute toys and stuff... so I got it... and I'll probably change it up every once and a while, but right now I'm super happy with it and I wanted to share it with you guys. Allright lets start at the top. I kind of knew that I wanted Anna and Elsa on this little display thing. right away... so I put them up top there. Those are my Rock Candy Cozy Princesses that Funko put out for Ralph Breaks The Internet. I loved collecting these, I actually did a whole blog about that right  here  if you wanted to see it. Also on the top shelf I wanted to display the 2 dolls that my parents got me from Japan. These are really beautiful and special to me- so I wanted them right on top. Then I thought it needed something that was a little different in texture, so I added my Unicorn stuffed animal from Despicable Me that I got at Target a long ti

Bachelor Buzz: Is it really a Cougar Den?????

Alright so I was a little bit late watching The Bachelor this week... but it was a good one and I feel like I have a lot to talk about. First off The Cougar Den- which is basically what they are calling the girls that are 27 and up. The oldest girl there is 31... which is not very old and 27 is not only my actual age but also only 1 year older than Colton... so I feel like it's unfair to call them cougars. I'm 27 and my boyfriend is younger than Colton... and I don't think I am a cougar. But the Older vs. Younger dynamic was kind of the theme of the episode. There was Elyse who totally owned being one of the oldest ladies in the Mansion. They were asked to tell a story of "Their First Time" and she mentioned that this was her first time dating a younger man. This earned her the "Group Date" rose from Colton who was impressed that she really opened up and was true to herself. In other memorable moments Tracy, also 31 told a story of when she first t

Throwback Thursday: Family Man starring Nicholas Cage

Remember a few weeks ago when I did a post on  movies that used to be on all the time when I was a kid?  Well this was on there- and I finally got to re-watch it as an adult... and it was wayyy better than I remember. But there are still some problems with it... so I'm going to talk about it today. One thing that kind of upset me about the movie is that it is directed by Brett Ratner... who was one of the men that was accused of sexual harassment... and it also has Jeremy Piven in the movie... who was another one of those men. So with that I was happy I didn't actually buy the movie. My boyfriend checked it out at his local library because he knew I wanted to see it. Anyway with that being said... the rest of the movie was really enjoyable. It took place in New York and New Jersey. Nick Cage's character is seen leaving his long term girlfriend to go take an internship in London- then we get a flash forward in his life and he's a powerful Wall Street Executive that s

10 Things to buy Under $10

So I was kind of out of blog ideas... and I didn't get to watch The Bachelor yet for a Bachelor recap... that'll probably be tomorrow's blog. But for today I thought I'd do a fun "what to buy for under $10" post. Maybe this will help for Valentine's Day or just for a fun little gift. I'm not going to keep it to 1 store- I'll mention a little bit of everything. I'll try to include pictures if it is something that I bought myself...idk if I'll include links to anything because I don't want anyone getting upset if they can't find anything. But I'll try to get pictures! 1) Disney/ Pixar Up Adventure Coin Purse (Boxlunch) $9.90 - Boxlunch had some really cute coin purses from Disney... and I was in need of one! So I got this Up one- it had a really cute pom pom that looked just like the balloon on it. I love Up- it's a movie that always makes me cry... and it just makes me happy to use this. 2) Dos Card Game (Target) $5.

Barnes and Noble Haul: January 13th 2019

Sorry! I didn't get to post yesterday- it was my niece's birthday party and I was just super busy... so I didn't get a chance to blog... I'll try posting another blog tonight to make up for it... but I did go to Barnes and Nobles and I thought you guys would like another little haul from there! First off I looked at the Bargain Books in the front and my boyfriend discovered that they had a signed copy of Judy Blume's "In The Unlikely Event" for 6.98... and I thought "You know what- I'll get it!" For that price- it's definitely worth it! I didn't know that it was also a first edition! The book looked slightly beat up... but still! That is not a bad price. I wanted to read this when it first came out- I think it's based off of a true story that happened in New Jersey. Judy Blume is from NJ, I'm from NJ... so it's probably going to be a fun story to read for that. And the bargain books were 2 for $10... so I looked around

Disney Junior Shows- Babysitter Review

So I realize I have reviewed a few things my niece watches from time to time... and I thought I'd review some things that are on Disney Junior... from a Babysitter's perspective. It's also her birthday this weekend... so that is slightly the inspiration behind it all. Now there are some kids shows that are just kind of terrible for grown ups to watch... I would say all these shows are pretty darn cute and definitely watchable. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is the one I'd put on the less enjoyable side... but it's still pretty darn cute. It's got Mickey Mouse on it so it can't be too bad right? Sort of. I do prefer Mickey and The Roadster Racers- which is a newer show and I don't know. Just something fun about the Mickey characters driving cars. Plus there are little shorts in it where Minnie and Daisy are "Happy Helpers" with their sarcastic Bird friend... it's fun. Next I'll talk about Vampirina. I really like how this show is animated.

WHO IS JULIO????? Bruno Mars Theory

So today I have another sort of short, unplanned blog because... that's just how life works sometimes. Anyway I was just listening to Uptown Funk on the radio today in the car with my mom... enjoying the catchy tune... when all of a sudden I heard the line "Julio, get the stretch!" And I was like "Oh he's telling someone named Julio to do something. Normal for a Bruno Mars song. Wait... that is normal for a Bruno Mars song... he does this in another song. And then I realized he says "Julio, serve that Scampi" in That's What I like. WHATTT????? WHO IS JULIO???? Easy Explanation: It's just a name in a couple of songs. Slightly Less Easy Explanation: It's Bruno's assistant/ personal chef. Honestly... I could find out. I'm not the first person that noticed this... there's a reddit thread about it. There was a video where Dua Lipa tried to find out... I did not watch the video because I'm watching Brooklyn 99 right now..

Pop Culture Things that are Important Right Now... That I haven't seen/ followed yet.

Creativity flows in some mysterious ways. I was  stumped at what to write tonight... which is why this is going to be a short and late blog... but here's just some things I've sort of missed. The Masked Singer  Alllllright I need to watch this. Apparently it's really good and my friend keeps posting on facebook "do you guys know this singer" and I don't know if I'd be good at this show... but I'd be intrigued. Plus everyone is famous already... so that is a bonus. It's nice to see people that aren't famous yet trying to get fame... but it's nice to see people you actually recognize and love. That seems exciting to me. I don't know what channel this is on... or if it is on demand... but I might watch it on demand. The Haunting on Hill House  I KNOW! I KNOW! I need to watch this one- I'm excited to watch it because I did see the first episode and I did honestly love it.... but I need to watch it again and finish the full thing.

Bachelor Nation Buzz: Colton Underwood's season premiere recap/ review!

Heyyy guys! I recently became kind of obsessed with The Bachelor... I watched a few episodes here and there before- but I did actually watch ALL of Becca's season of The Bachelorette last year and ALL of Bachelor in Paradise... and I am excited to watch Colton fall in love... or whatever. The Bachelor  Colton is a virgin! And he doesn't wear underwear! So yeah... those are 2 important things. And the ladies were pretty into that. A lot of them commented on it... we had some interesting intros to the ladies... but I'll get to that in a bit. But yeah- Colton is a really handsome 26 year old Virgin who is a football player. I thought he was really cute and sweet on Becca's season... I thought she was going to pick him for sure but then the stuff with Tia and when she met his family it kind of changed everything... and she realized she couldn't really have a serious relationship with him and she didn't want to break his heart- so she dumped him before he could

Book Review- A Sucky Love Story:Overcoming Unhappily Ever After by Brittani Louise Taylor

I feel like it's hard to really "Review" this book because it is based off a true story and it is a heartbreaking story about Domestic Abuse about this man that Brittani fell in love with and had a child with that was just a horrible person. The story starts out pretty normal... Brittani met him on Tinder and she didn't totally trust him at first because he asked her out and then he didn't talk to her at all the day they were supposed to go out. She agreed to meet with him anyway and he just kind of kept asking her out. She had her guard up at first, but eventually he told a little more of his story and Brittani fell for him completely. Now I had watched Brittani's videos for years and she had always mentioned that she was waiting until marriage to... well you know. So when she posted a video called "I'm engaged and pregnant" I was a little shocked... and to be honest the story felt a little sudden and kind of strange. They were "engaged

Vision Board January 2019

Alright... so let's be real here... I am not great at Vision Boards... but I have one and I'm going to kind of use it. I want to have to do lists- anything that I might want to see or anything that I really like... and just things that inspire me. Right now it's mostly lists of things. So right now I have 4 Cork Boards that I got from AC Moore. These were just tiny... I didn't know if I wanted them all in one place or whatever... so yeah. Right now I have them all in one place...but idk if they'll always be there. So I have this on my "Gallery Wall" around where the picture of the pug used to be. I might change it like I said... but yeah this is what I have for now. So here's my sort of cleaning to do list... which I think I'm going to take off and do something else now that my room is slightly clean. I also have 2 David Bowie Buttons because you guys know I love David Bowie- and this cute little Cactus that my boyfriend got me. It looks li

The Best and Worst Movies of 2018!

So in 2018 I got a boyfriend- which I didn't realize would mean seeing a ton of movies... but we both saw more movies than we've seen in years because that's just what we've been doing on dates... so that's kind of fun. But along with that... we've seen some stinkers. Since I didn't really review these movies while I was seeing them... I will let you know now. I think I have more good than bad... but the bad ones were pretty stinky... so yeah. I have 10 best, 2 in between and 4 worst... and one other movie that I already reviewed. I'm also only including movies I actually saw in theaters... I saw Isle of Dogs and that was one of my favorites this year too... but when I think of my top picks- I think of the ones I actually went to see. The Best  10) Christopher Robin- So this was the movie we saw on our first date... so this is really kind of a sentimental pick for me... and I loved the movie. It was really cute and just a fun one to watch. When we

Book Haul! What I want to Read/ What I'm reading.

I've done a few book hauls in the past and honestly... I haven't read those books yet! But still- that doesn't stop me from being interested in new books and ordering a few more from the Barnes and Noble website... buying some at Target and other places. So first is a book I bought back when I went to New York City with my boyfriend... you can read more about that right  here ... but we went to Kinokuniya which is a really big book store with basically any Manga you could ever want to read in it... plus a lot of other really cool things... anyway I found this book called Pure Skin: Discover the Japanese Ritual of Glowing by Victoria Tsai and I knew I wanted to get the book. I want to know more about skincare and I thought this is probably the best way of finding out. Plus as a beauty blogger and a vlogger- I thought this would be useful and fun to review. Another slightly more of a beauty/lifestyle book that I got for myself was Queer Eye: Love Yourself. Love Your Life.
