Favorite Movie Friday: Role Models

So here is a weird pick for my favorite movie... I feel like this one makes sense though. This was actually the first R rated comedy that I saw by myself without sneaking in and without sneaking my friends in... plus it was maybe the funniest R rated comedy I had seen at the time. I don't exactly know why I found it so funny to be honest- but I do still like it today and it's still good.

This movie- however- would not be made in 2018. There are tons of jokes that are like incredibly inappropriate and a little bit cringe worthy. A large plot point is Sean William Scott teaching a 10 year old kid to be his wing man... and how to pick up chicks and look at boobs... and that is weird. The kid is really funny because he's very sarcastic and he curses a whole lot and he's a cute kid os it's especially funny... but like I said... cringy.

I feel like I didn't explain the plot of this movie a lot either... cause it's a bit of a weird one. Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott work for this energy drink company called Minotaur and they go to different schools and tell kids not to do drugs but to drink Minotaur instead... and there's a lot of funny moments with that. The Minotaur isn't exactly good for you and they aren't exactly anti-drug. Paul Rudd gets angry and has a fight with his girlfriend and then he drives the truck into a statue- so they need to do a "big brothers big sisters" type of program to get out of going to jail. Paul Rudd's character is placed with a nerdy kid that does role playing games and Sean William Scott's character is with the kid that curses that I mentioned before.

The best thing about the plot of the movie is that there are kind of a lot of fun subplots- which result in an epic role playing battle where the 2 "Bigs" aka Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott dress up as Kiss with their two "littles" aka the kids and they were watching... so that was pretty cool... and it just seems like it has all of these parts that are so very different from the beginning of the movie... and I just liked that! I think that made it a little more exciting and kind of fun!

So that is everything! I think this is a great movie despite not being great by today's standards and not really standing the test of time... I still think it's just as funny... and that's a weird pick for a movie favorite... but not bad! I'm happy I liked this so much because it's still one that I'll watch and enjoy again.

That is everything for this Favorite Movie Friday! My next movie will be Forgetting Sarah Marshall... which I'm excited about!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
