Relaunching a Blog, Creating a Facebook Page, Trying to do Better!

Okay... so if you guys don't know... this was pretty much always a daily blog... but I kind of re-branded it in July and I wanted to come back with 70 posts ready to go for the next few months... and I was just feeling super inspired by everything and I wrote EVERYTHING for the most part... and I just liked doing that and I sort of went with it... came up with some ideas and stuff and then I just kind of kept going with it...

So as of right now- I JUST relaunched the blog. I'm writing this on July 2nd- so my first blog back was A Little Bit About Me and right now it's done pretty well. I shared it on my personal facebook... which is what I want to keep doing with these posts... but I also created an actual Facebook page for myself.... so you can go and "Like" Shannon Kahermanes and see all of my posts there...

Thus far: No one Likes Me! Actually I like myself... but that doesn't count right? Doing the facebook page was easy... but it was also a little tricky.

First off... I needed a profile picture. The picture I'm using for my actual profile picture right now is pretty adorable... so I used that.

It's a mirror pic in a fancy bathroom... and hopefully in the page it's cropped so it doesn't look too "Bathroom" y... It's a cute dress I like how I'm posed and my smile is fun... so yeah.

Now for my fan page- I was stuck between 2 different things... and I ended up doing a third thing entirely.

This is me in a bathtub... I feel like this is on brand for me in general...  yes I'm fancy but I'm also fun and kind of a hot mess... so I like this... but it didn't necessarily fit what this blog is about... hopefully. Lol. I feel like this blog at least gives the impression that I kind of have it together... so maybe this picture doesn't totally fit the vibe of this.

Anyway- my next option... which I was really excited about... I thought "ohhh I know! I'll just take a picture of some of my favorite things that will be featured on both of my blogs and my youtube channel... and I'll use that as the profile pic!

So that was this picture... I was pretty proud of it! Some of my first posts going back were about Arrested Development, I had one about the David Bowie Brooklyn Museum (where I got the tote bag)  also and then the Marvel movies for Marvel Monday... I have a post about Star Wars coming soon... I thought the books coming out of the tote was a good idea too... Plus some of my favorite things in general and my favorite makeup products... but then it didn't fit everything in the photo and it just didn't look right with stuff cropped out.

So then I just saw a picture of my desk on my phone... I figured that would work well enough for now... and it's cute.

It's pretty and cute and simple! I like it!

So yeah... I didn't really want to invite my friends to like my page... I just shared the page so that people could like on their own... but I think I'm going to have to invite them to it... so that's bad. Not bad... but just kind of like "Ohh... not what I thought!" So... yeah!

Also did I get 70 blogs done in that time? No. I got a little less than 60. But I was still proud of everything that I wrote and I'm excited about what's to come. I think having a bigger social media presence will be good... especially when I try to re-launch my other blog and youtube channel also... so yeah!

Bye!
-Shannon

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
