Favorite Movie Friday: Monster's Inc

Okay... so I was going to watch Monster's Inc very carefully last night and give it a re-review... that didn't really end up happening. I just kind of casually watched it... so yeah.

I just realized... I was really looking forward to watching the Bloopers and the Company Play at the end of the movie... I'm not sure if they didn't include that or if I turned it off early... but I LOVE that part! I really liked when Pixar used to have bloopers- I know that they've kind of gotten more serious tones to their movies since Monster's Inc and it wouldn't really make sense to have bloopers after Finding Nemo or Up or anything. I would like to see some during The Incredibles or Cars though! I think that would have made sense!

And I saw this movie 3 times in theaters- 2 times in regular theaters and one when my sister was at Fordham and they showed a movie for Sibling's Weekend. The first 2 times I saw it they didn't have the bloopers but they had it when I saw it at Fordham and it was so funny. And my sister was telling me how funny the bloopers and the Company Play were before I saw the movie and I was really excited for it. So that was just a fun little extra thing that they did.

One thing I kind of appreciated a little bit more this time watching it... some of Mike's dry humor. He just has a lot of funny one liners that I always hear... but they aren't really LOL funny they're just a little bit of a dry humor... and I thought it was particularly funny this time around. I liked when Randall asks "What happens when that bell rings?"Mike answers "I get a time out?" And it's just really funny. And little conversations between him and Randall... really good and funny and I guess a little bit of an element is added to it knowing that Randall was Mike's college roommate. I just liked their dynamic together.

Another favorite part of mine has always been where Mike and Sully go through the different doors. I just kind of liked that. I remember seeing it for the first time in theaters and I thought it was pretty cool and it gave you a view of some places you maybe wouldn't see otherwise... plus it kind of made it more educational and worldly. I just like that they added that in there.

And I always like the animation in this movie. It's really cool to see the different textures of the different monsters skin or scales. Everything looks very real in the movie and it's all just done very well. I like it a lot! I never get tired of seeing this animation.

So is this still my favorite movie? Kind of. This has the biggest place in my heart because it is my first favorite movie and I think this is the one that really stands the test of time and will continue to be my favorite no matter what.

Hope you guys like this!
Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
