Hump Day Update: 10/25/17

Sorry this is so late! Onto the show! This isn't a show it's a blog!

What I'm Watching

American Horror Story amiright??? This show has slowly consumed my life in the past few weeks especially! I love this season... last night's episode was my favorite ever... I think. I just really liked this one for some reason. Winter is my favorite so it makes sense that an episode about her was my favorite. There was a good amount of torture, plot, and backstory... plus huge change of character for Ally... I kind of love her now... and I feel like watching in between the lines... maybe something happened to Ally that makes her more scared of everything... I'm not sure. Just re-watching old seasons... there are similarities between Ally and some other characters like Vivianne and Lana Winters... so maybe she has a reason to be scared. And she was badass when she contacted Kai... she played him! He totally wanted to show that he was more fearless than Ally was- which is why he took a bite of the sandwich... Idk what exactly she has planned... but she's playing him. And the creepy pastor in the torture house was Rick Springfield!

I watched Roanoke and Asylum again too... I'm excited to keep watching those too!

I watched some Duck Tales... no shame I actually love it! I also watched Kevin Saves The World- just the pilot... but it's good. If you liked Touched By An Angel- this is something else you'll like.

And the Halloween episodes of all my favorite sitcoms. I loved all of them! The ABC sitcoms. I watched some of Dancing With The Stars even... its really great!

News

Unfortunately this week we lost one of the funniest men ever on television, Robert Guillaume from TV's Soap and Benson. He was also the voice of Rafiki- which I didn't know until yesterday. He was also the first African American man to win an emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy and Best Lead Actor in a Comedy. He was the only African American Man to win either award until Donald Glove'rs win for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy this year... so he's still the only African American Man to win Best Supporting actor in a comedy. He was also the first African American Man to play Phantom of The Opera.... I didn't know he could sing!

I loved Soap and Benson- he was just sooo funny in those. He will definitely be missed.

And Fats Domino- another Rock and Roll Pioneer... I don't know as much about Domino but again... two legends within two days- it's hard.

Food

I've been putting Turkey Chili on Ritz Crackers... and it's been really good!

I've had some good pene vodka this week...

Pumpkin Liquor!

The Salted Caramel Latte!

Pumpkin Milkshake!

Chocolate Covered Pretzels!

Polly O String Cheese! Lol.

Favorites

I vlogged this weekend... and it was just me in my house... but I had a lot of fun with it. It was fun to edit... not too exciting but... I still liked it.

The Lorac Mega Pro 4 palette has been fun! I've enjoyed playing with that!

I also started listening to Comedy Bang Bang again... really funny show. I want to listen to more Podcasts... I want to listen to Oprah's podcast because it might be life changing... idk. Lol.

Other Stuff

My niece is starting to talk a little. She says Dada and Mama... but this week it sounded like she said "do" which I think means "Dog" because she said it while trying to reach for my dog. I also heard a "Ga" this week when she was looking at my dad... so I think that meant "grandpa" and I think I heard a "Mana" which might mean "Moana." She really loves Moana.

I'm going out for Halloween on Saturday... I'm thinking about dressing "Basic" in stuff I usually wear... and getting a witch hat and maybe a starbucks cup... and going as a "Basic Witch." I'm thinking of even making a Witch Hat on the Starbucks Cup and writing Basic Witch on it just in case people don't get it. As much as I love Halloween... I'm not the biggest fan of Buying Costumes... so I think that would be a fun little DIY type of Costume.

Byee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
