Chart Chat! 10/22/17

10) Kingsman: The Golden Circle- I would imagine this movie is ending it's run on the charts shortly if not by next week. I feel like there are SOOOO many great horror movies out this year that it's hard to choose this one above those movies at this time of year... but Colin Firth... so yeah.

9) American Made- Again... I was a little surprised this never got to the top of the charts... but I'm surprised to see it on the charts for so long. I don't know too much about this movie other than Tom Cruise, Jayma Mays and the bad guy from the last year of Breaking Bad... but yeah. Again... probably wouldn't recommend this over It or Happy Death Day if you want to see a movie coming soon... but maybe this is good.

8) The Snowman- This is a horror movie that looks pretty good. Again I don't know too much about it... but I thought it looked scary and I want to see it. I'm sure reviews aren't amazing... but to me it looked interesting.

7) It- From what I understand- this movie is closer to the book than the original movie. So if you really liked the book or if you're a big fan of Stephen King I would say you'll probably like this movie a lot. I've heard a lot of people say Stephen King Movies are better than the books... I haven't seen a lot of movies or a lot of books... to be honest I wasn't crazy about what I saw of The Shining, I kind of like feminist discussions of Carrie... but the movie is a little bit long and hard to watch. I didn't really like the original It (aside from Tim Curry... who is wonderful) so... I'm curious to see how I'd react to these.

6) The Foreigner- Okay I think I said last week that I'd look this up and give a better description last week... it's an action movie with Jackie Chan. It said "Cat and Mouse" type of thing... It sounds good.If you're looking for an action movie- this sounds better to me than Blade Runner or Kingsman.

5) Only The Brave- This is about firefighters in a wildfire... timely and it has a good cast. So... something different.

4) Blade Runner 2049 - Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford are in this... yet somehow I have no interest.

3) Happy Death Day-  The more I see previews for this the more I want to see it. It looks scary but that's a good way to tell a scary story.

2) Geostorm- This is a science fiction movie... surprised it's so high on the charts with Halloween coming up soon.

1) Tyler Perry's Boo 2: A Madea Halloween- And Tyler Perry as number 1. I would be a little surprised if a regular Tyler Perry movie was number 1... not surprised that a Madea movie is number 1... so yeah. This is a fun one to see probably... I've never seen a Madea movie. Tyler Perry doesn't screen his movie to critics... so I'm not sure.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
