Dining in NJ: A few delicious food reviews

So I thought I would just compile a few different meals I've tried lately that I haven't reviewed before...and talk about them here. Usually I do fuller reviews on these items... but I've reviewed some of these restaurants before and some of these meals... so I think I'm just going to talk about what I've tried recently and... yeah.

Mr. Shrimp Mango Coconut Salmon

I think this is what I had... I kind of forget! So I'm sorry about that... it was on the specials Menu which changes quite often... but I really really liked this. I'm not a huge fan of Mango... but this was like a mango salsa and it was just super super yummy. If you ever go to Mr. Shrimp and see the Parmesan Risotto on the menu... get that. Lol. Its really yummy and I am not a fan of Parmesan Cheese.. so yeah.

I like how I don't remember what exactly it was called... but I can remember just how it tastes and that is always the way with Mr. Shrimp... the tastes are really good and very memorable. Highly recommend!

Asbury Ale House: Drunken Pasta Bites and Chocolate Lava Cake + Coconut Mule And Cinnamon Toast Shot
I went to the Ale House last night for my birthday and I got the Chicken and Waffles... which I have reviewed before on here... and it was just as delicious this time around... but the rest of the meal was awesome too.

The Drunken  Pasta Bites are awesome. It's fried Penne Vodka that they give to you alongside of extra Vodka Sauce to dip in. They have the Pasta Bites, they have chicken bites I think... they have a drunken chicken sandwich and drunken fries... but it's delicious and I loved it.

The drinks I had... I had a Cinnamon Toast Shot... it was delicious. Not too strong but not bad. It was just nice and yummy.

I didn't order the Coconut Mule- I ordered the Coconut Mojito... I'm on a Mojito kick and a coconut kick... so I wanted that... but the Mule was really good too... again not too strong- not too sweet... very coconutty and yummy.

And the Chocolate Lava Cake which my friends surprised me with... lol. My one friend said she had to go to the bathroom, not realizing the bathroom was behind us so she said "there's no toilet paper in there" and she went to the front- where I thought she was telling them about the TP and I just thought the people entering and exiting the bathroom were gross... but they weren't they just surprised me with the Lava Cake... and it was damn delicious! nice and moist... it was huge but I ate most of the whole thing... and the ice cream was good and the cake itself was sooo chocolatey and warm and wonderful.

Moonstruck in Asbury- Rigatoni with Pumpkin and Goat Cheese, Banana Bread Pudding Appetizers that I always get...

So Moonstruck is a place I've reviewed before... I think I forgot to review the Appetizers last time... and I like the fall menu so... yeah.

Arugula and Tomato Salad- This is a really great salad. It has Fresh Mozzerella, Tomato and arugula and a  nice light dressing... with some toasted bread... it's just really great and fresh and yummy.

Portugese Clams
These are the best! I love them... they have sausage and some garlic sauce and salsa... it's very flavorful and I just really like them! Not fishy, not too garlicy... just right!

Rigatoni with Pumpkin and Goat Cheese
This is really yummy. I've had this before- I was so happy to see it on their seasonal menu again... that doesn't always happen with the seasonal options... but this was on it and I was really happy!

I didn't really know if I would like this when I tried it last year... but I trust Moonstruck to have flavor combinations that I'd like and I want to try anything with the word "pumpkin" in it... so I was excited for that! The pumpkin is like a real pumpkin- it's savory and vegetable like... I think there are also pumpkin seeds and some sort of nuts in it... it's really really a great flavor combination and then with the goat cheese it adds a little creaminess and some good flavor.

I just really like this a lot! It's a great flavor for the season and it's just something different and interesting. Last year's was a little better... they didn't have as many crunchies this year... but it was still really good!

Banana Bread Pudding

This was really good too... it was nice and warm. I don't love bananas themselves... but I do like Bananas in dessert... and this bread pudding was just really good. It was warm and the texture was just right and it tasted really flavorful and just good.

And their Ice Cream is amazing! So... it's just really great all together!

Bahrs Oktoberfest Menu Beef Goulash

I didn't know what Goulash was... so I wasn't sure what to expect... it was a little weird but good. It's like a stewed beef served with noodles... and I really liked the noodles. The beef had a smokey flavor to it, which was really yummy and good... I thought it was good... idk if I'd get it again because it's huge and it takes a while to eat... and I don't always like that... but it was pretty good... I just don't know that I'd order it again. It was interesting... I would recommend trying it.

And that's about it! I hope you guys like this little roundup food review!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...
