Chart Chat- 10.9.17

10) Battle of The Sexes- I love Emma Stone and really want to see this movie! It just looks like a good movie... I don't always like Sports movies... but I can deal with a Tennis movie lol. I kind of like tennis in movies. Maybe there will be a review of this soon!

9) Flatliners- I talked about this last week... with all the horror movies out right now- I don't think that this is one you should waste your time with. It might be more of a psychological thriller... but still- not the first pick!

8) Victoria and Abdul- My grandfather would have liked this movie and my mom wants to see it. I kind of want to see it to because 1) Who doesn't love Dame Judy Dench? 2) I miss hearing about these types of movies from my grandfather- which makes me a little more interested.

7) The Lego Ninjago Movie- I think this is the least successful Lego Movie yet. I think the original Lego Movie was on top of the charts for several weeks- same with the Lego Batman movie... I feel like this one has less appeal. People don't really know what Ninjago is... this might be kind of more for little kids or maybe parents see it as more of a 'boy' movie or something...I'm not sure- a lot of times I've heard girls talk to their parents and say "This movie is for boys and girls" or something like that... so girls want to see these movies- their parents just don't want to lol.

6) American Made- I'm really wondering what the top movies are this week... because all the top movies from last week have slid down the list quite a bit. I was surprised this wasn't number 1 last week... I'm a little less surprised this week- but... I'm a little surprised it's so far down the list. I guess a lot of movies came out this week! Anyway I like Tom Cruise action movies- I think this got some positive reviews... it sounds good if you're into it... but yeah.

5) Kingsman: The Golden Circle- This didn't get great reviews... but I really liked the original Kingsman. I'm a little interested in the Comic Book Series now because it might be better than the movies.

4) My Little Pony: The Movie- Awww of corse this movie is the top family movie of the week! This looked like a lot of fun and who doesn't love My Little Pony? Probably won't be seeing this one... but it's pretty adorable!

3) It- I wonder if this will be #1 again next week... I'm a little surprised as the movie that beat it... but yeah. Very scary movie- probably the horror movie to see this year... and It needed a remake and I'm happy It got one!

2) The Mountain Between Us- This movie sounds super interesting to me. Also it stars hot people- Kate Winslet and Idris Elba... so it should be good. Unfortunately- Sandy Kenyon said the 2 lacked chemistry to make the movie... but still. I want to see it. This movie is about a plane accident that strands Elba and Winslet together in a cold, mountainous region... Winslet has an injury and she's trying to get to her wedding. Elba is a doctor trying to perform a very important surgery... the 2 are strangers but they only have each other to survive... and I think they fall in love. My sister didn't know it was about that- she was like "ohh... there's literally a mountain between them?" so... it might be misleading. But yeah...

Interesting thing- Winslet has a little personal connection to the story- she met her husband during a house fire! So... that's one way to meet people lol.

1) Blade Runner: 2049- Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling in a movie- pretty awesome. I don't see this really lasting a long time on top of the charts- but yeah! It's supposed to be good! Everyone saw it this week and everyone seems to like it!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
