chart chat 10/17/17

10) Victoria and Abdul- This looks like a great movie. Judy Dench as  Queen Victoria... I guess showing her friendship with someone named Abdul-idk.I just looked it up and it said Queen Victoria. I thought it was a spinoff of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel tbh. Either way- my grandfather would have liked this movie and I want to see it to honor him. Maybe I won't see it now... but it does sound good and interesting.

9) My Little Pony: The Movie- I have a My Little Pony Toy I won in a Lularoe Giveaway thing. And my niece has a my little pony toy that she loves... so I'm sure I'll watch these someday soon... but for now- it looks cute but I probably won't see it. Surprised it's so low on the charts.

8) The Lego Ninjago Movie- I like the Lego movies and I thought this looked like the best one yet...it hasn't been the most successful one though.

7) Kingsman: The Golden Circle- This is still on the charts... I don't have much to say about it it's been on the charts for a long time lol.

6) American Made- Same with this... although I'm still a little surprised this wasn't number 1... I also don't really know what this is about and I don't think I would have heard about it if I didn't pay attention to the charts... so I guess it shouldn't be that surprising. Lol.

5) The Mountain Between Us- Hot people plus a mountain... that's a good movie right there!

4) It- The people behind me at a restaurant said they liked this better than the original... which is not what I've been hearing... but that's good. I didn't really like the original and I can't imagine liking something without Tim Curry more than something with Tim Curry...but this sounds good.

Idk they said this movie was more true to the book- I wonder if maybe they read the book recently and they didn't read the book before seeing the original... so maybe they're biased or something... idk- it seemed like a weird comparison.

3) The Foreigner- I don't know what this movie is... I'll find out eventually lol.

2) Blade Runner 2049-The newest of the blade runner movies... not my thing! But it is a lot of people's and that's why it's at number 2 this week.

1) Happy Death Day- I kind of want to see this movie... the reason I'm not seeing it in theaters is that it was released the Friday before my birthday... so that felt a little too real... but this is a good year for Horror. With This movie, Get Out... I think Split came out this year, It, and I think there was at least one more in the top 10... ohh yeah Annabelle... so this was a good year for horror movies- and people love it!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
