Flashback Friday: Disney Renaissance Movies Ranked

I thought I would just do this because... why not. Someone on a Facebook group mentioned their least favorite disney movie of the 90s and I thought I'd rank them all. I've seen a majority of these movies in the last 10-ish years... except for one... which is: 10) The Rescuers Down Under- I don't know that I've ever seen this movie. They've showed it on Disney Channel when I was little... it never really held my interest and I'm sure it probably doesn't deserve to be 10 on the list... but because I've had no real desire to see it since I was little... it's at the bottom. I do have Bernard- I think- as a christmas ornament! 9) Tarzan- I've just never been a big fan of Tarzan. It isn't bad- I appreciate the animation of it... I'd still watch it... but I won't watch it whenever I see it on... it really has to be the only thing on for me to want to see it. I think it's even on Netflix now and I just haven't watched it. I'm

It List: April 2017

1) 13 Reasons Why- This has been my favorite show of the month I think... It was a really great binge. I was a little skeptical at first because it wasn't really all that subtle. It's predictable... there are a few surprises... but nothing that you can't really predict... it's a good show to watch on Netflix... I'm excited for more seasons... and I was even watching it a second time because I just liked it a lot. It's almost like a movie... which is cool. Brian D'arcy James and Kate Walsh are great... the rest of the cast is pretty good too... I just like it! 2) Unicorn Frap- This is the most unique drink Starbucks has had in a while. It's very flavorful... it's sweet then it gets sour... then sweet again then very sour... it's not for everyone... but I really liked it and it's probably a highlight of the month for me. 3) Sephora and Ulta Sales- I feel like I can't not mention the Sephora and Ulta sales that happened this month... bec

Chart Chat: April 21st-23rd 2018

So here's the weekend box office results! The top 10 movies in the United States... so yeah! Here we go! 10) The Lost City of Z- This does not sound like it's going to be a fun week for me at all... ohhh boy. I have no idea what this movie is about... I'm going to venture a guess it's something I have no interest in seeing... let's see... Ohhh okay... Who care's what it's about- something about a lost city in the 1920s... but it stars Charlie Hunham... so that's definitely worth watching. Doesn't seem to be doing well at all. This is week 2 and it wasn't on the charts last week... so we'll see what happens with this? It must have been a film festival movie or a foreign movie because it says 2016... so yeah. Idk about this one... but it's a thing. 9) The Promise- Another film festival movie... goody! My favorites... this is about the Ottoman Empire or something and there is a love triangle or something. Christian Bale in it... so yea

Scribbles About TV: Trial and Error Season 1 Finale (spoilers)

I loved this show since the very first few minutes... the cast is perfect, the writing is brilliant... everything about it was just really funny and overall just great. It takes place in a rural town in South Carolina where a bisexual man who teaches poetry is the "town weirdo" and accused of murdering his wife... and could be sentenced to death with little to no evidence against him. The whole series had a lot of twists and turns and it felt a little bit like Clue... it was goofy and you laughed at everything but really... there was still a dead woman and there were a lot of suspicious people... including Larry... but in the end... it wasn't anyone... it was a bird. Do I think that was a good choice... not quite sure... lol. I thought it ended nicely... especially because it can be picked up for a second season... which I hope it is... but if it isn't picked up for another season or if they go with a different storyline next season- the end works just as well.

Scribbles About Food: Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino

Ahhh the much-instagrammed Unicorn Frap. Is it worth the hype? Or just a cute instagram picture... Neither... and both lol. So yes... it was all over Instagram... I have 3 Instagram accounts so I was seeing it everywhere and had lots and really wanted to try it to see if it was worth the hype... It's definitely a "Do it for the gram" drink... which a lot of Starbucks food is... I love getting their sugar cookies because I like posting pictures on Instagram of them... no shame in that! Anyhoo... The Unicorn Frap! What did it taste like? Would you like it, would you not like it? What's up with it????? So... it changed flavors every few sips. Some sips were really sweet like a Sweet Tart or something... and that was kind of good but kind of gross... I liked it... but it's weird. It also got very very sour... and it wasn't necessarily like a Sour Patch Kid type sour... which is my favorite sour candy... it was more like a hard sour candy... I don't thi

Weekly Wrap Up 4.23.17

Favorites  Life in Pieces- They just put the first season of this show on Netflix! I’m excited! If you’ve been following this blog for a while, I didn’t like the show when I first saw it… so I didn’t watch most of the first season. After that it became one of my favorite shows that I watch over and over again… so I’m super happy to watch it from the beginning now!  Bullet Journal- Trying to get my life together… so I made a more fancy planner… and I’ll probably share more about it when I do it more often. It’s fun and a fun way to plan and get things together.  News And World Events  I know a lot of stuff happened this week… all I’ve heard about is Aaron Hernandez… and that pisses me off. So… yeah.  Here’s some funny news… a radio shack just closed… a lot are closing right now… but this one in Reynoldsberg Ohio is making news for telling off it’s customers in a Facebook post… and it’s kind of hilarious. I would not recommend doing that at all… but it was funny. I

Shannon's Scribbles 4.22.17

So I'm changing things up a little bit because I thought I could make these posts a little bit better so... we'll see how that goes. Monday was a good day... start of the week... not terrible for me. I know a lot of people don't like Mondays because it is the beginning of the week... but it's also the day after easter... I was an okay with that. It felt like part of a holiday still... of corse I don't actually work so there's that. My niece did come over and my mom and I watch her on Mondays... but my dad was home too so he watched her too. So it was just a nice day. It was a good day... and I don't have anything more to say about that. Tuesday was a more exciting day... I went to Target... and Target is a wonderful, wonderful place! I ended up getting a moleskin journal, some pens and some stamps and some sequins. The Sequins are for my blog and IG pictures... the other stuff is for my bullet journal... which I'm kind of loving right now. It's a

13 Thoughts and Theories about 13 Reasons Why (Spoilers + Heavy Subject Matters)

Idk if I have a real review of this show... there was a lot I liked and a lot I didn't like. I thought it was a little predictable... but I thought it did a good job of shifting between present and past... and although I haven't read the book- I think they did a good job creating more for the book than the series. This is very spoiler heavy and the subject material of this show is very heavy... so reader discretion advices 1) Alex's story is a mirror of Hannah's- There are fan theories that Tyler killed Alex... but what I think is the more powerful storyline is that Alex's story was the audiences version of Hanna's story. All the signs that he was going to kill himself were there... he was the one that pulled away from the group that he, Jessica and Hannah had formed. He quits band and stops caring about things because of what happened with Hannah and the tapes. He also jumps into the pool at Bryce's house in a dramatic way... all the signs were that he

Throwback Thursday: The Most Popular Girls In School

I'm really excited that I rediscovered this show. I was kind of not looking to watch this again... but I was writing something that had high school themes sort of in it with kind of a bitchy vibe... and I saw a post from Brittney Matthew's on International Woman's day... so I was just kind of like "Ohhh. I guess I could watch The Most Popular Girls in School again." And I did! It was a good throwback and a fun thing to watch. I had only seen the first season and a few episodes of season 2... but I hadn't finished the series at all... so I just thought it would be fun to finish it up and then I could do a little Throwback Thursday on it. Interestingly enough... The show isn't over yet! They're actually starting production on Season 5 recently! It's been a few years since Season 4. The first four seasons were largely crowd funded and the creators began their own production studio... so they've been trying to work on a larger scale future for

Kid at Heart: An Aunt Reviews a Kid's Book- Will You Be My Sunshine by Julia Lobo and illustrated by Nicola Slater

I thought it might be fun to review a kids book on here... this has been my favorite to read to my niece because it's just so cute. The sayings on the inside are really sweet and if you're looking for a good book to bring to a baby shower... highly recommend this one! The cover of it just looked absolutely gorgeous and I saw it on sale at Barnes and Noble when my mom was looking for books for the baby... and I said "Ohhh this cover is really pretty." We didn't know anything about it other than the cover being pretty... but we bought it based on that. It's written very cute also. Basically it's just a mom and a baby mouse asking "will you be my sunshine" and saying "Yes!" and then saying a cute little saying after it. They say more than just the "Will You Be My Sunshine" but it's all very cute. The illustrations are gorgeous as well. They have a lot of different skies and they all look so pretty and the mice that are

How To-sday: How I run My Instagram Account

So this is kind of a lot of work... but it is easy once you get it down. First off- writing everything down! I will kind of jot things that I use throughout the week down in a notebook and then... I'm trying to save my "Instagram Day" for Thursday... I'll just write everything down to post throughout the week or the next few weeks on that day. I'm just trying to dedicate it to one day now because I want to write blogs and other things on different days in the month... so I want to confine Instagram to one day of the week because it does take a lot of time... so that's how I do that. I've heard that you should have at least 30 hashtags per post... so that is what I try to do on all my posts... I pretty much have generic hashtags that I'll use for all drugstore posts, all liquid lipstick posts, all of my "Frugal, Fancy, Fragrance, Fashion Favorites Friday... some things I write brand new hashtags for... but I kind of try to stick to whatever I h

Chart Chat 4.17.17

Heyyy guys! Sorry for not posting the last couple of days... busy days! Hope everyone is having a good week! If you guys want to compare this too last week's top 10 you can click  here  to check out what I thought of last week's chart. I'm a little happy Logan and Ghost in The Shell are off the charts... I'm not so happy that The Fate of the Furious was released... lol. 10) Kong Skull Island- I'm hoping this is nearing the end of the charts because I'm a little sick of talking about it... lol. I think I've said all I need to say about this movie... I don't want to see it! Thank Goodness Ghost in The Shell is off the charts! Lol. 9) The Case for Christ- I think I predicted last week that this would jump up the chart in it's second week... and believe it or not- It did! It was 10th on the charts last week and this week it's number 9. Not really my cup of tea for a movie... but Faye Dunaway is in it... that's something. She was the only name

If you could go on ONE Disney Ride Right now- Any Park- What Would It Be?

So I want to post more about Disney because it makes me really happy... and I've been thinking about the question in the title for a long time now... and I thought I would just answer it... So my answer is something that's probably always going to change... this isn't the most exciting ride in the whole world... but I think I would pick the Winnie The Pooh Ride... and I think I would want to ride in in Disneyland! Why? I've only ever been to Walt Disney World, the first time I went they had Mr. Toad's Wild Ride... and I loved that ride! It was a lot of fun, but then they changed it to a Winnie the Pooh Ride... and I was a little sad at first... but I was also like 7 and it was Winnie The Pooh... so I was excited. Who doesn't love Winnie The Pooh? I know a lot of people don't like it as much... and it probably isn't as good as Mr. Toad... but I still think it's a lot of fun. It maybe isn't an improvement... but I think it makes sense that Mr

Throwback Thursday: Here it Goes Again by OK GO Music Video

So... there's a bit of a prologue as to why I decided to watch this video for Throwback Thursday... but I did... Here is the link to the OK Go video in case you're like me and have never seen it! Prologue  You guys know I love Crazy Ex Girlfriend and I've been watching that a lot lately and listening to all the music videos. Well there's a song called  Thought Bubbles  in which Josh freaks out at being alone and thinks of every bad thought he can think of and every doubt he has. It's a really clever song, it's one of my favorites from the show. It's a laid back Smash Mouth type of song about a guy freaking out about every little thing. And it's just really funny. He mentions things being "complex like videos from OK Go" and I was like "Hmmm... never really saw that video as complex. I'll have to watch it sometime." Flash forward several weeks later... I started liking Britney Spears out of no where... that's where last

Scribbles About Food: The Habit Golden Chicken Sandwich, French Fries and a Vanilla Shake

So the Habit is a restaurant I like a lot and I do recommend it... I think they have a great menu. If someone wants a burger and someone else wants something slightly healthier or without meat- this is a good place to go to. The Menu is Versatile enough to make everyone happy... however- in saying all that... whenever I go something is a little bit wrong. And it isn't that bad... but it's enough to make me question The Habit's Motto "There's no substitute for quality." I think I've been to The Habit 2 other times before and both times the fries were a little soggy. This time I ordered Sweet Potato Fries because those are usually a lot softer anyway... plus it sounded like something that would go well with the sandwich. They didn't give me sweet potato fries though, they gave me regular fries. I could have complained... but that would have just taken more time and it didn't matter all that much. The fries weren't soggy or anything-  they were

How To-sday: How To Make A Mini Planner

I've been into planner videos and instagrams lately... and I decided to make my own mini planner... I actually made a few little planer-y things and I have one from Target, this one is just really easy to keep track of things and it fits in my handbag really easily, it's easy to put a pen in with it... and it even has a pocket that I can put little coupons and things in. I got it from Tj Maxx for like 2 dollars. here's the pouch!  I like minions and I had some minion stickers- so I put some minion stickers on the front... it's cute. So I have a few pages for my monthly blog posts to keep track of those... I just write the name of the month down and then I number it... and when I have an idea for a post, I'll write it in Pencil... and then when I finish writing it I write it in Pen, so that it's more permanent. That part is pretty easy. For my weekly posts, basically I use half of a page for a day and I write down the date- the things I need to do t

Chart Chat 4.10.17

My favorite time of week... well not really but I do love writing these! Chart Chats! I'll regret saying that when we get to Kong Skull Island and I have to say something relatable about it... lol. 10) The Case for Christ- This is it's first week on the charts... it gained 3.9 million dollars this week. Haven't heard of it before... but this is the description from IMDB- "An investigative journalist and a self-proclaimed atheist sets out to disprove the existence of God after his wife becomes Christian. One of the writers for this is Brad Bird- not the Pixar Brad Bird... but he wrote for Touched by An Angel... so it's one of those religious movies that they release around Easter so that church groups can go... It probably isn't released in every theater... but I'm sure it'll be a little bit higher on the charts next week. 9) Get Out- This has been on the charts for 7 weeks... and honestly, I have not gotten tired of talking about it yet! I just want

Favorites  Chobani Flips Cinnabun Fun- I’ve been loving Chobani Flips lately… this one is by far the best! I really like it! I’ve been doing reviews of the Chobani Flips on my Instagram, @shannonsface- so you could check out what I think of some other Chobani Flips There… maybe I’ll do a ranking or something!  Planning Videos and Instagrams- I’ve been randomly obsessed with planners for the past few days… idk if I’ll become a planner person and actually invest in all the cutesy planner things… I don’t have too much to plan and I’m not a big fan of craft stores… but they do have Hamilton ones… which makes me want it lol. My favorite people to watch on youtube are Leslie Johnson and Zoreen’s Designs… I’ll link their channels below!  News and World Events  Actor Don Rickles passed away… for me I know him best as Mr. Potato Head… which believe it or not- he was actually nominated for an Emmy for playing… which is impressive. He also had a sandwich platter named after him

Scribbles! : 4/8/17

Scribbles: 4.8.17  Saturday 4.1  April Fool’s Day! I watched Trial and Error with my mom and grandmother… and it was really funny. I love that show and could watch it over and over and over again. And then we went out for Hibachi and that was really, really good too! We had a great time!  Sunday 4.2  I went out for lunch with my parents and I had chicken fingers and a milkshake… then I went to Ulta… went babysitting at my sister’s house and then for dinner with my friend and her puppy and I had chicken fingers and a shake again pretty much lol. It was great! I had a Fried Chicken Fingers and Sweet Corn Mash Bowl from Brick Wall and a Nutella shake for dessert.  Since we went with her dog, who is a super adorable Corgi puppy… everyone stopped by and said “OMG he’s the cutest!” And… it was a little bit much… lol. We still talked and had a good time… but seriously if you see a bunch of people approach someone with a cute dog… maybe let them live their lives and admire fro
