Weekly Wrap Up: 7.3.16

Happy july! Here's your weekly wrap up!

Favorites
Orange is The New Black- The fourth season of Orange is The New Black was definitely the best season so far. I had a review of it already... I totally loved it. I liked it last season and the season before was okay... but this season was amazing! I thought it ended really well. I have some ideas for what I think should happen next season... Idk lol. I'm excited to see what happens though!

Starbucks Caramel Expresso Granita- When I first tried this I was like "weird" but then I swirled it around a bit and really liked it. I only had one this week... or maybe last week... but it was pretty good! I would try it again and in other flavors!

Couch to 5k- This is an app that gets you to alternate between running and walking. I've done it twice so far, but its really good and easy to use. I think it gets you to run more when you've been doing it a few more weeks. I like it! I'm supposed to be running a 5k soon and my friend said "Oh I can help you with that! There's an app for that!" Lol. Who knew!

Snippets from the week
I started Orange is the new black on Monday and finished on Wednesday. I went out to lunch with mom a few times. We celebrated her birthday with some friends. I think my sister stopped over for dinner a few times. I did lip swatch week on my instagram... which was not really my favorite thing...  It was a boring but eventful week.

TV Highlights
Missed American Gothic... watched orange is the new black and that Disney Parks series from travel channel. Lol.

Noteworthy Snacks
The Granita. I don't think anything else really noteworthy that i liked a lot... I had a few smores fraps this week. And I got a taco at Finns... which is good. Other than that, not too much!

News and World Events
Elie Wiesel died this week at the age of 87. He wrote the book Night, which is one book that I think everyone should read at least once if not more than once. Very sad book. He was a holocaust survivor and basically had to watch his family die in a concentration camp... very very sad story. I'll never forget that chapter where he talks about his father's death. It is one of the most moving chapters in any book.

Katy Perry became the most followed person on twitter this week... so thats a thing. Also Fergie released a song called "MILF$" that I am hoping I never have to hear in my life. That's the worst name!

ABC Released its fall schedule... looks good! I'll review it when there are trailers or descriptions or something like that.

Thoughts
I started reading "The Year of Yes" by Shonda Rhymes this week and I think its important to say yes to things that scare us. You never know right?

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
