Scribbles About TV: Orange is The New Black Season 4 (Spoilers)

So I wasn't all that excited when this season came out to be totally honest...the show hasn't been that good in a long time, I like Grace and Frankie a little better...and it just isn't my absolute favorite show anymore.

...but this season was different! It started out really really well and I wasn't really going to binge watch it or anything but then I ended up watching 7 episodes the fist day and finishing it within 3 days... Oops! Like I said it was a good season.

There's never really been a "hide the body" storyline on the show, but this year it did! And I think that was what the show was really missing. I liked the friendship between Lolly and Alex, I liked that we learned Lolly's backstory. I liked knowing more about Healy cause he kinda didn't get the attention needed last year on the show... And I still didn't really like his backstory, but it made sense at least now!

And I liked Piper's story this season! I liked her story last season too and I know everyone hates her... But I like Piper and I thought it was good! I liked that she thought she was so badass... but then when Alex told her she killed someone she just kinda stopped the act entirely. Partially when she was branded... but I think that was before Alex said anything... so that was kind of a cool transition!

And the end... that took such a turn! I wasn't expecting that at all... it commented on events that were going on in a really real way. Didn't expect Daya to take a turn like that. And I didn't see... any of that really happening. I really like Poussey and they kept commenting about how tiny she was and then they did the episode of Baxter... who seemed like a nice guard but dumb... and he didn't really mean to get caught up in the middle of everything... but he did and it shouldn't have happened.

Caputo seemed to really have things together this season... but then at the end... he didn't even mention Poussey's name! And it really seemed like he was trying to do the right thing all year... just caught up because of his girlfriend and his job... and it was just not the right way to handle things. It was sad. I didn't want him to be the bad guy... but he always is.. and it was bad. It was just a very sad ending that was fitting... but wrong. And sad.

So yeah... that was everything I want to mention. It seems like they listened to complaints about last season and took them to heart when creating this season... and I thought it was better than ever because of that. There were so many things I complained about last season... and no complaints this season! I thought it was a really great season all in all! Best season ever I'd even say!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
