Barnes And Noble Haul!

For some reason I thought this was going to be like a huge haul... cause this is more than I typically buy at Barnes and Noble... but it didn't actually end up being all that much stuff... so I wonder if there was something else I'm forgetting about or... what it is lol. I just bought a lot kind of.

First things first I got the new Grady Hendrix Book- The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. I really loved Horrorstor by the same author and I want to read his other books before Halloween. I tried this last year... but I think I'm going to try harder this year lol.

Then I got a Meditation Magazine. I haven't been keeping up with yoga as much as I should be lately... but I need to get back into it and I did really like the Meditation aspect of Yoga as well... so I would like to include that in the practice also.

I saw a book table that I thought was a sale table... but it wasn't... but it had a book called The Wig, The Bitch and the Meltdown by Jay Manuel. I think he's from Project Runway or some fashion show... I forget which one but yeah. This looks funny and different. I'll read it sometime soon.

And I got #GirlBoss from Sophia Amoruso. I've been wanting to read this for years and I couldn't find it for the longest time... which is so funny because this is a really popular book. I remember when it first came out it was EVERYWHERE and everyone used to love NastyGal when Sophia owned it... so it was kind of sad when they stopped having it everywhere.

And I got some Caligraphy Paper because I have been getting into Caligraphy and Cardmaking recently because I don't really want to buy cards with the pandemic. Plus it's just fun and creative.

I think that is everything! I hope you guys like this and know what to expect me reviewing and reading sometimes soon.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
