Friends Friday: The Rachel- Ross- Joey Love Triangle Pt. 1

So... I figured I'd have to talk about this eventually. And here's the thing... I actually really liked this storyline. In season 8 especially- it was something new and different that honestly most shows wouldn't have done... and it got us to see different sides of each of these characters.

So in Season 8 Rachel is pregnant with Ross's baby after getting together for one night while Rachel was feeling vulnerable about Monica and Chandler's upcoming marriage and Ross hadn't been with a woman in 6 months... so... yeah.

Anyway flash forward a few months later... Joey is nervous for a date he's about to go on and Rachel misses dating and realizes she may not date for a while... and so she and Joey go on a "date" as friends and Rachel and Joey tell each other their "date night moves" and Rachel's are really good... and Joey begins to develop feelings for her. While she's pregnant with Ross's baby.

And Joey's never really had feelings like this before... so he does pretty much think it's love... and maybe it is love... but I think it's just a crush. And Rachel is also his roommate so... it's easy to get a crush on someone you are so close to all the time.

Ross is honestly a great friend in all of this and tells Joey to tell Rachel how he feels. Even though Ross will always love Rachel... he knows that Joey needs to tell Rachel how he feels. Plus Ross does want Rachel to be happy too- and he knows that Joey is a really great guy that will love Rachel the way she deserves to be loved... so it makes sense.

I know people didn't love the storyline... and I see why. It's hard to imagine Joey going after Rachel like that... it really isn't fair to Ross... but I think it's kind of natural for friends that are living together to get crushes on each other... and it shows how mature and strong the friendships of all these characters are.

Okay this is just the first part of the love triangle... I'll talk about the second part where Rachel gets a crush on Joey next week.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
