Bingewatch and Chill: Aggretsuko Season 3!

Okay- I've decided since I review tv shows on Saturdays usually... I'm just going to name this post "Bingewatch and Chill" so... that's my weekly tv post! I don't always watch Netflix... sometimes it's other streaming services so... it's going to be bingewatch and chill.

Aggretsuko is kind of a special show for me because that's the first thing my boyfriend and I talked about when we were on Ok Cupid. I had just watched it at the time I signed up for it and I had just changed the "Last show I bingewatched" to Aggretsuko with a picture of Retsuko on my profile and then he messaged me saying "Aggretsuko was amazing!" So... yeah! This is a special show for us and we watched it together with sore stomachs from eating at Applebee's...

ANYWAY the season itself was really interesting. We thought it seemed a little less serious and a little less sad than the second season and the animation looked a little bit different. We don't really know if the show had budget cuts because of Covid or if they were trying to rush it because it looked a little more simple than it used to- but we really liked how it looked. It made sense with the tone of the season somehow too... which was overall very silly until the penultimate episode where things got more serious.

So in this season Retsuko is addicted to an online VR game in which she has a sexy unicorn boyfriend. And she spends all of her money on things for the game... and then she backs into a guys car and ends up becoming an accountant for an Idol band he manages and then eventually joins the band herself after he heard her metal vocals at the karaoke bar that she frequents and the band records at.

All of the new characters in this season are really cute and really fun... plus we see different sides of some of the characters from the earlier seasons. Gori, Washimi, Haida, Fenneko and even Tadano have their own archs that really make this season amazing.

The last episode ended in a way that... was a bit of a cliffhanger but also not really. I thought it was wrapped up nicely compared to the one shocking moment that was the one scary and serious moment of the season... which I believe ended the penultimate episode. It gave us a happy ending that gives us something to look forward to if the show comes back for another season. Which I think it can!

I think that is everything I want to say without spoiling too much. Overall this is definitely the best season yet- I really felt like we got to know each of the characters and when that moment hits... it's really suspenseful and the way they do it is heartwarming kind of. Just a great show overall!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
