Umbrella Academy Season 2 Review

Okay so... this might be my new favorite show after this season. The first season was pretty good but this season was just kind of mind blowingly awesome... and I loved every second of it!!!

So in this season the gang goes back in time to the 1960s to try to save the world from the upcoming apocalypse.  And how do they do that... well it involves JFK... I think?

To be honest it's really hard to describe the plot of Umbrella Academy other than that it's about a group of adopted siblings with superpowers and they're trying to save the world from the apocalypse... and there's also time travel and talking to dead people and mind control and Mary J. Blige... in the first season- not the second season... but still.

Also if you're familiar with the comics- the show is a little different. According to my boyfriend both are really great but they each kind of have their own story. So... that's good!

Overall I really liked the time travel in this season and I liked that this gave us a look at history and the 1960s and... it was just good. I think my favorites are Klaus, Number 5 and Alison. But... I liked Luther and Diego a little more in this season than last season... and Vanya was a little more interesting and Ben was in the show a little more too... so... that's all of them haha... and they kind of all are my favorites... but mostly Klaus.

Okay that is everything! I hope you guys like this review- even though it might not have been that helpful... just watch both seasons... and know that it picks up a bit in season 2 if Season 1 is a little slow for you. There was like one episode in season 1 I didn't like that much... but stick with it because it's a really great show overall!

Bye!

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Scribbles about Books: Horns by Joe Hill

I picked this book up not too long ago because after seeing the trailer for the movie and seeing it was based on a book I thought "Hey, that looks good. I should read the book." Then my friend gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday and I thought "Hey I wanted to read Horns, I should grab that." And I did, and I had to read it around halloween of corse! So this is my kind of horror story first of all. I love that the universe it takes place in is very realistic and very small-town. If you've noticed in some of my other book reviews... I like mysteries that take place in small towns. And its very believable because the world and the characters are all so real. I think its a good book just for that. The book starts out with this guy Ignatious, or Ig a year after his girlfriend Merrin is murdered. He grows horns from out of his head... for no real reason. And then a few chapters in we find out who really did it and then we find out why and that thi...
