Music Monday: Folklore Review

So... Taylor Swift's music... it's always cute and fun to listen too but sometime... idk. I feel like she's matured a lot as an artist and as a celebrity and I was really excited to hear that she came out with a new album in quarantine. And honestly- I think it's her best since Red. Idk why- Red just kind of happened to be my favorite. I didn't listen to all of Reputation or Lover-but I've listened to all of her other albums though so... yeah!

So I didn't listen to the whole album at once- which I think is the way you should listen to this. I just didn't have time for it... and I like it but... I just didn't get to listen to it all at once. I did still get the connection between all of the songs though. I've heard that the whole album is a story about a love triangle told from different points of view- and I believe that's true. There are connections and references to other songs within the songs... and I thought it was really clever.

The one problem I kind of had with this album was that all of the songs sounded similar... I'm not quite sure I can even pick a favorite song because they all sounded kind of similar to me and I forget which ones I liked. I liked Mad Woman and Betty a lot. Betty I think is the song where I really got the connections. I was a little confused because I thought it was written about Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's kids and I was like "Wahhht?" Because it's kind of a mature song- but she just used their names in the song- revealing Betty to be their baby girl's name. Which is cute.

So yeah overall... it's a good album... I'll listen to it again and I'll try to listen to some of her other albums that I haven't heard in a while because- I do really like Taylor Swift.

So I think that's it!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
