Puzzle Review: David Bowie Album Puzzle by Aquarius

Alright... here we go. Finally! My boyfriend and I finished the David Bowie Album Puzzle from the brand Aquarius. My boyfriend got me this for our anniversary and... this was so much fun to do... we really had a great time doing it together. It took us a long time and it frustrated u a little bit... but it was really a lot of fun and we had a great time doing this!  I think Aquarius makes puzzles that are meant for gluing and framing. From other puzzles I've seen from them that is sort of what I get from what I see. This wasn't like other puzzles I've ever done in the sense that there were really all the pieces were the same. 2 sides pointed in or curved in and 2 curved out. So if you like separating the pieces... it really doesn't help you while doing this puzzle at all.  The hardest parts to do were the edges and the text and lightning bolts at the bottom. The puzzles that were mostly solid black and white pieces we thought would be really hard... but they actually

Target Tuesdays: Target Holiday Favorites!

Hey guys! I'm going to try to have holiday posts from now till Christmas... so yeah! I'm also going to be doing Cozymas on  The Cozy Princess  and I'll probably have more holiday posts and regular posts on  Scribbles About Beauty .  But anyway... since today is Tuesday I thought I'd start this out with a Target Tuesday!  The Wondershop  The Wondershop is their huge holiday aisle... they kind of have it for every holiday or season- but I really like it around christmas. There's always something to find there... they have so many decorations and food... and the food is usually really really good. They have really good indulgent trail mixes and candies and popcorn tins too. Plus they have brands like Hickory Farms and different flavors of candies like M&Ms. Plus my favorite- Chocolate Cherry Kisses... so so good!  So far this year I've only gotten Chocolate Cherry Kisses and M&Ms... but I saw they have both Tins of Popcorn and Popcorn Kernels... which I

Everything I Know About The Bachelorette 2020- Unsurprising Spoilers and Some Predictions

Okay so instead of a Reality TV Roundup right now I thought I'd do a Bachelorette post sharing some of what I know or what I think about The Bachelorette...This isn't exactly factual evidence- I used to follow the Bachelor Spoiler accounts... but they haven't exactly been accurate since Hannah B's season and while I like a lot of those accounts and I like the Bachelor community... it's been more fun for me to watch on my own and make my own predictions.  Also  here  is a link to my favorite Bachelor channel. I also like the account bachelorettewindmill on Instagram... they post some good Bachelorette memes.  So this has been Clare's season so far... but Clare has done a bad job at connecting with the guys and being open to a relationship with any of them other than Dale. Literally... she can't stop talking about this man.  No but like he is actually hot but this is him modeling Halloween costumes. He stepped out of the limo and she was like "I think I j

Movie Monday: Matilda

Okay... so I didn't watch this full movie- but I caught most of the parts I haven't seen in a while a few weeks ago... and it is hard to commit to watching a full feature length film every week... so Matilda is this week's movie monday!  So first off... I LOVE this movie. I've seen it 100 times as a kid- I still watch it fondly as an adult... it's one of those kind of magical nostalgic movies for me. And honestly I didn't know very much about the actual book Matilda until the musical came out a few years ago. I think I did know it was a book written by Roald Dahl... but I had sort of forgotten that and... this movie just does not feel like a Roald Dahl. I just reviewed Charlie and The Chocolate Factory recently... and i just watched the beginning of the orignal Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory and these are VERY different feels than Matilda... and I kind of really love that about this Matilda adaptation.  I've never read the book or seen the musical so

Movie Monday: Bruce Almighty- Cute Movie... but it doesn't work as well today.

Soo... yeah. I saw Bruce Almighty was on Comedy Central and nothing else was on so I watched it... and overall it's a fun movie... but it's weird.  I feel like now that I'm grown up... if I were Grace (Jennifer Aniston's character) I wouldn't forgive Bruce at the end of the movie. He's kind of a terrible boyfriend and I feel like he learns his lesson... but does he really?  Bruce is a news anchor and at the beginning of the movie he's upset about not getting the lead anchor position... and he's stuck doing small hometown stories, like The World's Largest Cookie... and they often cut his segments or shelf them... so it's not really working out for him. He kind of freaks out on the air when he finds out his rival got the position... then he goes home to his girlfriend Grace who's trying to comfort him and he just kind of yells at her and acts really selfishly... he also goes on to kiss another woman once his ego gets really big from being god.

Movie Monday: The Platform

Okay... I forgot I didn't write this already... I watched it a little over a week ago and honestly... it's alright.  So this is a horror/ thriller movie that is on Netflix. It is originally a spanish language film and I believe if you have English as your setting for American Netflix it will automatically play a dub... I would recommend changing it to the original Spanish language and just use english Subtitles. We didn't listen to that much of the dub... it's not reviewed very well and while the voice acting seemed like it was good... it was still kind of low and hard to understand and the subtitles didn't match... so using the subtitles was a little easier. I know a little spanish and if I was paying attention to what they were saying I could have understood it lol. I was mostly reading it.  So anyway the movie starts out really strong. Basically it follows 2 men in some sort of prison that they both actually volunteered for... so they were in their of their own

Reality TV Spoiler Roundup: Dancing With The Stars, The Bachelorette, The Masked Singer and Some Gameshows!

Alright- so I wasn't planning on posting today... but you know... I've been watching a lot of reality tv and... I figured why not just do a post on the shows that I watch. I love recapping the Bachelor Shows and would like to do The Masked Singer and Dancing With The Stars as well... so yeah!  Dancing With The Stars- 80's Night  Okay... So I've actually been really into Dancing With The Stars... I really do like watching people dance and I kind of like learning about celebrities I didn't really know about before... which sounds bad- but I mean it in a good way lol. This week was 80s Night- which was a lot of fun. I voted on this too! I only vote on ABC.Com and I vote for every couple that I enjoyed watching... so I did vote for most of the couples. I think I didn't vote for Jesse, Chrishell and Vernon... I forget if I voted for Skai or not... I like her dancing but I think I forgot to vote for her. And last week was probably my least favorite routine of hers...

Atlanta Season 2 Review: Robbin Season

This season might be one of my favorite seasons of any tv show... it's great!  Alright... we gotta talk about Teddy Perkins. Teddy Perkins is probably the weirdest and most memorable episode of any tv show. Earn and Paper Boi are barely in the episode... There are people in White Face... I don't want to say who... it's just a really wild episode where Darius goes to a house trying to get a Piano and then it's basically like he's escaping Neverland Ranch. It's very much like Michael Jackson and his father... it's a really weird episode. There are lots of fan theories... there's a lot of symbolism. Every shot had meaning and detail... it's just really great.  And the season is referred to as "Robbin Season" Because in the fall and winter in Atlanta is when a lot of robberies happen. And each episode has some sort of robbery. Whether it's a character actually stealing something or emotional robbery between characters... there's a lot.

Movie Monday: Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (2005)

Alright... so I have to say I didn't finish watching this movie... I had to leave right before Mike Teavee's part... but I did see most of the movie and I kind of had some opinions.  So I know everyone loves Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory... and as much as I really like that movie... I have only seen it once because it kind of scares me. There's that one boat scene that's really terrifying and then the end... I just always thought that the kids all died because if I remember correctly you never see them again at the end of the movie. It's a little refreshing to see the kids at the end of this movie kind of normal? Slightly deformed with possibly temporary or long term deformations... that they seem somewhat ok with for the most part.  Tim Burton directed this and while I kind of always thought this was like the beginning of Tim Burton's downfall... when I actually watched it again- I thought it was just as good as his other movies... there are a lot of r

Bingewatch and Chill Saturday: Atlanta Season 1

Okay- so I've done a TV Breakdown on this and... this show is great. It is one you should definitely be watching if you haven't watched it already. There are only 2 seasons and you can probably finish it all in one day... but it's really good.  Next week I'll talk about Season 2 and I did like Season 2 a little more than Season 1... but this season has a ton of amazing amazing episodes and overall it is just a super funny show.  The show at it's base level is about a man named Earnest or Earn that's in sort of an on again off again relationship with his wife Vanessa- they're together but they're still dating other people and they have a little daughter together. He's kind of trying to do his best for Vanessa and his daughter Lottie, but he's very down on his luck and it's hard for him. He then finds out that there's an up and coming rapper named Paper Boi and Earn realizes "Ohh... he's my cousin." And he gets a job as Paper

TV Breakdown Thursday: Why do I always watch Friends and The Office

So... at one point in time my favorite show ever was Arrested Development... and it's not that that isn't still my favorite... but it has kind of changed over time because rewatching Arrested Development now is not nearly as fun. Especially with all the controversies of the cast... and the newest seasons on Netfllix. I haven't even watched the last few episodes... which I will one day but... idk it's just not the show it used to be. Parks and Rec, 30 Rock and Community are also shows I liked better than The Office at the time they were on... and yet I always watch marathons of The Office and I'm slightly disappointed when there are repeats of Parks and Rec on instead. It's weird.  What I really like is that there are so many seasons of The Office and Friends. There are hundreds of episodes to watch and it isn't like you are watching the same exact episodes every single time. Whereas when I see Parks and Rec on... I think they show most of the series in one

The Day Off Chronicles. 9.22.20

So... I thought I'd write about my day today. I kind of want to get back to my youtube channel and do "Day Off Vlogs" but... I thought I would do a day off chronicles here today because... "Today is one of those days" as my niece said today.  So yeah I woke up around 10 or so... my mom told me to get up because I was going with her to pick up my niece from school and then we were going to my grandmother's house and we were planning on having a little pizza party at her house. There was a problem though... Our Pizza Place is closed on Tuesdays currently! So we ended up going to Chilli's. We took out some Classic Nachos, the Southwest Eggrolls... which I don't like... and some chips and salsa. It was all pretty good! I love Chilli's!  Then I had a foot doctor appointment and the toenail I lost a few months ago is growing back nicely! Yayy and Eww! Sorry TMI but I'm super happy with how it is growing and I want to keep it that way!  Anyway afte

Target Tuesday: A Very Random Big Collective Target Haul

Alright... this is REALLY Random. And actually it's across 3 Target trips so... yeah. It's big.  I'll start with the clothes... cause I bought a lot. I think they're all from Universal Thread... but there might be some others too. I feel like the theme is orange!  A few months ago I got a few different colors of a long sleeved ribbed t shirt that I really liked and I found that in orange... so I got that.  I also got an orange tank top that was kind of similar. I have some orange clothes that need a tank top under them. Like Flannels and things that are sort of jackets/wrap shirts. This is also kind of light. I bought a size down from what I normally buy I think because this was the same kind of shirt of a medium shirt I bought that actually ended up fitting me even though I'm not usually medium... so this was a size up from that and a size down from my usual... but I liked it!  This is just a very pretty kind of delicate orange shirt... this might actually be the

Movie Monday: 10 Movies+ Mini Reviews

This is random because I want to do a Movie Monday... but I haven't watched any movies lately... so I'm just going to chose 10 Random Movies that I might not have seen in a while and... give them a little mini review... Based on basically nothing.  1) Teen Titans Go To The Movies(2018) - I saw this about a year ago I think... I liked it. It was cute and funny. I was never really into Teen Titans or Teen Titans go... but Teen Titans Go To The Movies was really good! It was funny, had a nice story and a Stan  Lee Cameo- which ended up being one of his last. It was just good- I'd totally recommend checking it out!  2) The Heat (2013) -   I really liked this movie at the time I saw it. I actually saw it twice in theaters. I own the DVD or Blu Ray now- but still haven't watched it since it was in theaters. Very funny... but sometimes if I see a movie more than once in theaters- I'm okay with never seeing it again in real life. It's weird... but I still kind of liked

Bingewatch and Chill: Happy Endings Season 3 Review

So overall I still really liked this season... but I think it might be the show's worst. Not so much for the episodes... but I feel like there were a couple of episodes that were a little weird- like they felt like they made them for season 2 and somehow they ended up in this season... there was one episode where there was no mention of Alex and Dave being a couple and it seemed like Dave was still living with Max when he had already moved in with Alex. Plus Penny was in a relationship during this point and there were a couple of episodes that seemed like they didn't happen then. It was a little weird.  Other than that I think my favorite episode was More Like Stanksgiving... where the gang watch an episode of Road Rules that they were on that shows that Brad hated Jane at first and that Jane was not looking for Brad when she first hooked up with him- she was looking for another guy in the house. It was a funny show.  I also like the episode No Ho Ho where the gang finds out J

TV BREAKDOWN THURSDAY-Rachel's Love Interests: Crushes

Alright so I recently mentioned that all of the Friends kind of have their own common behaviors when it comes to their love interests.  Rachel in particular get's very girlish crushes on the guys she's interested in and it goes unrequited for a while- but then eventually they end up falling in love with Rachel and dating her for at least a little bit.  So in Season 1- Rachel dates Paolo. Right away she just goes for it with him and they end up together until he tries to cheat on her with Phoebe. Rachel also sleeps with Barry- who cheated on her with her best friend Mindy and she leaves him at the alter not because of the cheating... but because she was bored by Barry and knew that she couldn't spend the rest of her life with him. He is engaged to Mindy when Barry sleeps with Rachel.  Season 2- Rachel finds out that Ross was in love with her the whole time he's known her... and she begins to have feelings for him... and quickly finds out that he's moved on with anot

What Did I Do In September 2020?

Hey guys I thought I'd do a little end of the month update on things I did in September that were memorable or interesting and some important things.  So first off in September we took my dog to the vet and we found out he has heart failure... which was really hard on me this whole month. He's doing a lot better than he was- he did have to stay overnight at the animal hospital one day and... it's hard right now because of Covid-19 we cannot go in to see the vet with Spencer... but he seems to be doing a lot better and he's on a lot of medicine... but he's acting more himself and he seems to be a little better every day. We don't really know what will happen in the future so that's hard... but he's doing well right now and he's very happy and very loved so... he'll have a happy life and we will have a happy life with him.  So... that made some other things harder for me like I had been doing very well with Yoga last month and this month... I have

Target Tuesday: Snack Review- Archer Farms Rustic Pumpkin Trail Mix

Okay- so I'm a big fan of the Archer Farms Trail Mixes and I think their seasonal ones are really really great. Some more indulgent than actually healthy... but this I think is more of a healthy one... but not too healthy lol.  There are Cinnamon Coated Pretzels, Pumpkin Seeds, Yogurt Covered Rasins and Roasted nuts that have a pumpkin flavoring to them.  All of these mix really well together. The yogurt covered raisins actually taste really refreshing and delicious, the cinnamon coated pretzels are a reallt nice tasty treat and the nuts have a really great spicy pumpkiny flavor to them.  I kind of wish there were a few more pumpkin seeds in here... I could even do with something else on the more savory side like sunflower seeds or something. Maybe some cereal for a crunch... it was still really good but I feel like there isn't that much variety in the trail mix...  I'd still totally buy this again. It's really really good and it's a nice treat for the fall.  Alrig

Movie Monday: Parasite Analysis- All of The Different Parasites (Major Spoilers)

Okay- so I haven't rewatched Parasite Yet- but I did come up with another theory... in which I'm going to kind of break down all of the different parasitic relationships in Parasite.  So you should only read this if you haven't watched the movie yet because there is a major twist in the movie that you want to keep as a twist... but I'll write a little synopsis just in case you need a refresher. In the movie Parasite explores the relationships between the Rich and The Poor- and even explores the relationships of the poor and how they fight amongst each other just for a slightly better place in life. The Kim family is a poor family trying to work their hardest to fold pizza boxes for money- they then each con their way into working for the Parks- a wealthy family. When the wealthy family leaves for the weekend, they leave the mother of the Kim family- Chung-Sook- who is their housekeeper in charge of watching their house. The entire Kim family ends up staying at the hous

Bingewatch and Chill Saturday: Happy Endings Season 2

Okay Happy Endings Season 2 is probably my favorite season of the show. I think it has my favorite episode of the show- which is The Butterfly Effect Effect. It also has great ones like The Kerkovitch Way and the finale is really funny.  This was the first full season of the show and I think the characters were all really well established by then. I mean the Pilot gave us a good idea of who they were... but I feel like this season just takes it a step further. Max and Dave still live together, Penny moves into a new place and Alex ends up being her roommate and we see how Brad and Jane's marriage works a little better. I think I like this dynamic of the show the best... even though I still like when Dave and Alex are a couple and they move in together... but something about this just works out the best in my opinion.  It's also kind of fun because there's sort of a love triangle between Alex, Dave and Penny. Penny is perpetually single and I kind of wish the show had gone

TV BREAKDOWN THURSDAY: Atlanta Name Breakdown

Some quick changes to the blog...  So I used to like doing Friends Friday every Friday- and I still like doing that but... I wanted to do other shows too and I think I'm going to move my Weekly Wrap up to Friday and I'll still do TV reviews on Saturday... but I might not post on Sunday. I might still... but that's the blog I always miss anyway. And with that... here's the post.  So... The Names on Atlanta  So yeah. My boyfriend and I started watching Atlanta... kind of the most brilliant show on television... like... they have an episode that's basically a horror episode with none of the main characters... and it's hilarious and actually really really deep... I'll come back to this episode sometime soon on this but... it's a really great show.  But a couple of the names on the show stand out and you can tell they have deeper meaning.  Earnest "Earn" Marks- Okay so Donald Glover's character is Earn. So the show centers around Earnest being k

Places I'd Love To Travel To In The United States

So... this was inspired by some T Shirts that we sell in my section of the store I work at. There was a shirt for Yosemite, Death Valley and the Grand Canyon and... I want to go to some of those places and it made me think of other places!  Yellowstone National Park  I really want to see Old Faithful. Idk- something about how natural geysers occur is really beautiful and interesting. I would love to see it! Plus the park itself just looks beautiful and... Yogi Bear lol.  Joshua Tree  These trees are just so cool looking! Idk they're weird and cool and I love them! I really want to see them in person.  The Grand Canyon  I need to see The Grand Canyon. I've wanted to go since I saw it on The Brady Bunch as a kid... so this is just one of those things I think you really need to see!  Chicago  I've just always wanted to go here. A lot of my favorite comedians got their start in Chicago, Fall Out Boy is in Chicago... it's just a place I think is cool and I really want to go

Target Tuesday: Fall Archer Farms Cookie Review

Alright- I had to get 'em! 3 Archer Farm flavors of cookies. I'm not sure if these are new or not- but this was my first time having them. So I got the Maple Truffle Butter Cookies, The Pumpkin Spice Creme Filled Wafer Cookies and the Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookies.  So I'm going to review them from Worst to Best. They're all pretty good- but there's one I wouldn't buy again.  Pumpkin Spice Filled Wafer Cookies  These... taste a little weird. I feel like sometimes pumpkin spice can taste a few different ways... one like actual pumpkin spice, two like a candle or 3 like chicken curry. The first time I tried it it tasted like Pumpkin Spice to me... which was good. But the second time it sort of tasted like a candle and now when I eat it... it just tastes like chicken curry. I kissed my boyfriend after he ate one of these and I think he said he tasted like Barbecue sauce or something... and he was pretty sure this was why and I was like "really?" and now tha

Movie Monday: Queen and Slim Review

Okay... so this movie is very well directed, the acting is great, the message is great... but the writing is a little bit unrealistic. It is supposed to be like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde focusing on the police brutality and social justice issues that are important right now.  So it starts with Queen and Slim on a date that's going... kind of badly. Queen mentions she's a lawyer and she has a client that was executed and she's upset about that but she didn't want to cancel the date because she liked how Slim looked... and it just kind of kept getting awkward.... and then he drove her home... which honestly is a little weird for someone you're just meeting to drive you home after a first date. My boyfriend and I kept going like "huh... wait a minute..."  And Slim gets pulled over for no reason and his car is searched for no reason without a warrant... and it looks like the cop is about to kill him- so he kills the cop first and they run away right away.

September 2020 It List!

Alright... here's my It List for the month of September! I haven't done this in a while... but I already know I have some faves!  1) Happy Endings- So this is a show that ended a few years ago... and it only lasted 3 seasons but it's such a funny show that I'm really excited that I now own it. I just finished watching it... they also have a reunion on youtube that I watched that was really funny- it was a skype call... it's such a funny show and it's one I can watch again and again even though it's so short. Really like this one!  2) Atlanta- Omg... this is such a good show. It's just very silly. You see Donald Glover play a man that's just trying to make some money for his family and he ends up becoming a manager for his cousin who is a a rapper named Paper Boi- who sings a song called Paper Boi... that you will get stuck in your head. There's a really funny episode of Paper Boi on a Public Access show- there's an episode about a Juneteenth

Target Tuesday: The 2 different types of Target Renovations

Okay... so I feel like this is going to be hard for me to explain because there's a new Target coming to my area and it's going to be HUGE and I'm hoping they make it more like the fancier new renovation of target that a lot of the bigger stores are getting. I've seen the fancier remodel in the Manalapin store and a store in Watchung... I'm not sure why these stores are just somehow... better. I like the new remodel that's in my regular Target... and I'm all on board for any Target... but that Manalapin Target is really nice.  So here are some pictures of some things that I think you might find in my Target  We have all the clothes in one area. All the brands are kept together but the displays are kind of simple. The beauty section in this picture might be a little bit bigger than the one in my Target- but it still kind of looks like this where it's sort of designed to look like a Sephora or Department Store Makeup Counter or something. It's very ea
