Bingewatch and Chill Saturday: Happy Endings Season 2

Okay Happy Endings Season 2 is probably my favorite season of the show. I think it has my favorite episode of the show- which is The Butterfly Effect Effect. It also has great ones like The Kerkovitch Way and the finale is really funny.

This was the first full season of the show and I think the characters were all really well established by then. I mean the Pilot gave us a good idea of who they were... but I feel like this season just takes it a step further. Max and Dave still live together, Penny moves into a new place and Alex ends up being her roommate and we see how Brad and Jane's marriage works a little better. I think I like this dynamic of the show the best... even though I still like when Dave and Alex are a couple and they move in together... but something about this just works out the best in my opinion.

It's also kind of fun because there's sort of a love triangle between Alex, Dave and Penny. Penny is perpetually single and I kind of wish the show had gone on longer because... I sort of want to know what a relationship between Penny and Dave would be like. Megan Mullally and and Michael McKean guest star as Penny's mom and Dave's dad.

And The Butterfly Effect Effect is a really good episode... basically all of the friends are sick of winter and they wait for Brad and Jane to have a fight so that they can know that Spring is on it's way. Brad takes the guys out for a fancy dinner and Penny gets to give Jane love advice which is a nice role reversal for her. Brad and Jane admit that they were faking the fight because their friends needed it and then they end up getting in an actual fight because one of them leaves the window open or something and it's freezing out. Also this whole time Max just goes into hibernation and acts like a bear. It's really funny.

There's a funny Valentine's Day episode this season that is very realistic somehow too. I feel like Valentine's Day is never really the most romantic day of the year... just a regular day with more romantic marketing that is still fun to celebrate... but even if you're in a perfect relationship it can be hard.

And the finale is a wedding between their friends Derick and Eric where everyone is in the wedding party except Jane... but Jane ends up getting in of corse. Penny ends up realizing her feelings for Dave- and Alex and Dave also realize they have feelings for each other still... and Max performs with his old Madonna cover band Mandonna... it's all really fun and funny to watch.

Overall this is a great season that I think is what I think of when I think of Happy Endings. This is also the season I watched while it was on air whereas I didn't watch all of Season 1 or season 3... so I feel like I remember this one more.

Hope you guys like this!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
