Movie Monday: 10 Movies+ Mini Reviews

This is random because I want to do a Movie Monday... but I haven't watched any movies lately... so I'm just going to chose 10 Random Movies that I might not have seen in a while and... give them a little mini review... Based on basically nothing.

1) Teen Titans Go To The Movies(2018) - I saw this about a year ago I think... I liked it. It was cute and funny. I was never really into Teen Titans or Teen Titans go... but Teen Titans Go To The Movies was really good! It was funny, had a nice story and a Stan  Lee Cameo- which ended up being one of his last. It was just good- I'd totally recommend checking it out!

2) The Heat (2013) -  I really liked this movie at the time I saw it. I actually saw it twice in theaters. I own the DVD or Blu Ray now- but still haven't watched it since it was in theaters. Very funny... but sometimes if I see a movie more than once in theaters- I'm okay with never seeing it again in real life. It's weird... but I still kind of liked it.

3) Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog (2008)- So I really loved this movie when I first saw it. It's funny, its sad and the music is really good. Plus it's just short and easy to watch. Now I've heard some... Horrible... things about Joss Whedon- who directed this movie and I'm a little iffy about watching it again... but it's still kind of brilliant and I think you can watch it on youtube still for free. The singing is really good at least and you'll get a laugh out of it.

4) Inception (2010)- This movie was okay... I don't really get the hype of it or the big "twist ending" that people are debating about. It's not my favorite movie but... idk I feel like I should watch it again. I really like Ellen Page and I feel like she just fits in this movie.

5) Welcome to Marwin (2018)- No. Don't watch this movie. It's so disappointing and bad.

6) Bolt (2008) -Disney was going through a weird time when this movie came out and... I feel like it isn't the best because of that. I don't really think John Travolta is a great voice actor... same with Miley Cyrus... idk it just wasn't my favorite Disney Movie... but it is still pretty good. I'd recommend checking it out again at least in the backround while you're doing something else if you can. It's not terrible.

7) The Royal Tennenbaums (2001)- Wes Anderson is someone people either love or hate... I feel like his movies are like cilantro. I happen to be a big fan and... I feel like even if you're not a fan you can probably appreciate just how stunning his movies are. This isn't my favorite of his- my favorite is definitely Isle of Dogs... but this one is really good. If you're a fan of Arrested Development- there are some similarities to the Bluths and Tennenbaums... so you might want to check it out.

8) Practical Magic (1998)- I'm excited to watch this movie before halloween. It's really cute and Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are just really great together in this one. Nicole Kidman is a very beautiful actress- but she is particularly gorgeous in this movie. This one is just really fun to watch.

9) Hereditary (2018)- Another movie I plan on watching again before Halloween... this movie is gruesome and dark but... it is really something. If you like horror and you aren't afraid of gore... this is a perfect horror drama movie!

10) Batman Returns (1992) - This might be one of my favorites from Tim Burton... idk I just think of all his work this might be the most Tim Burton-y... its really good. And I think Michelle Pfiffer is my favorite Cat Woman.

That's it! I will probably do more of these in the future because... it's easy and it's fun lol.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
