Puzzle Review: David Bowie Album Puzzle by Aquarius

Alright... here we go. Finally! My boyfriend and I finished the David Bowie Album Puzzle from the brand Aquarius. My boyfriend got me this for our anniversary and... this was so much fun to do... we really had a great time doing it together. It took us a long time and it frustrated u a little bit... but it was really a lot of fun and we had a great time doing this!

I think Aquarius makes puzzles that are meant for gluing and framing. From other puzzles I've seen from them that is sort of what I get from what I see. This wasn't like other puzzles I've ever done in the sense that there were really all the pieces were the same. 2 sides pointed in or curved in and 2 curved out. So if you like separating the pieces... it really doesn't help you while doing this puzzle at all.

The hardest parts to do were the edges and the text and lightning bolts at the bottom. The puzzles that were mostly solid black and white pieces we thought would be really hard... but they actually weren't all that bad! My boyfriend did most of heroes and The Man Who Sold The World and then we switched and I worked on them a bit... and it really wasn't that hard.

The first album we had just about completed was Low- which I worked on mostly. It was easy because that was the only album with orange... the only thing was that he had a jacket piece that was really hard to find for us.

Once you get going with the puzzles... you get more in tuned with the colors and which one is solid solid black and which one is from a jacket or has a little bit of something different on it. There's also a red border on the edges of each album... that really made things a little easier and it kind of made it more fun. Plus it's nice to look at so when I do frame it- it separates the albums better.

Overall I'm really happy we finished this- I had a lot of fun doing it. I don't know that Aquarius is the first brand I'd buy from again... but if I really loved the art and wanted it framed... I would totally go with an Aquarius puzzle for sure.

Also part of why I'm talking about this now: I think this is a fantastic gift! It's one of my favorite gifts I think I've ever gotten and... if you have a David Bowie fan in your life- this is the perfect gift! You can find it on his website- I'll link it right here

I will probably post more info about some puzzles as... this is sort of my boyfriend and my new hobby since we don't really want to go out.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
