Bingewatch and Chill Saturday: Atlanta Season 1

Okay- so I've done a TV Breakdown on this and... this show is great. It is one you should definitely be watching if you haven't watched it already. There are only 2 seasons and you can probably finish it all in one day... but it's really good.

Next week I'll talk about Season 2 and I did like Season 2 a little more than Season 1... but this season has a ton of amazing amazing episodes and overall it is just a super funny show.

The show at it's base level is about a man named Earnest or Earn that's in sort of an on again off again relationship with his wife Vanessa- they're together but they're still dating other people and they have a little daughter together. He's kind of trying to do his best for Vanessa and his daughter Lottie, but he's very down on his luck and it's hard for him. He then finds out that there's an up and coming rapper named Paper Boi and Earn realizes "Ohh... he's my cousin." And he gets a job as Paper Boi's manager. And Paper Boi... is kind of crazy.

Every episode of this show is very funny, but there are also some more serious episodes... and there kind of isn't a genre to this show at all. And there are a lot of different genres on this show. Some episodes are like really funny episodes (usually with Paper Boi) and there's one episode in Season 2 that's a horror episode. In this season there is a great episode called B.A.N which is kind of a parody of public access types of shows. It's really funny. They even have fake commercials like one for Arizona Iced Tea that says "Arizona Iced Tea, the price is on the bottle."

And that B.A.N episode is probably my favorite. I also really like the Juneteenth episode which is just really funny and really weird and kind of creepy. And it ends with an episode where Earn is trying to find his jacket... and that's really good!

Every episode of this season was really funny and really good. I feel like it's just elevated in Season 2. This also takes place in a different universe where Justin Bieber is Black and Drake is hispanic. It's... really good!

Hope you guys like this!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
