1) Kristin Stewart's Mom confirms (and supports) actresses new relationship with girlfriend Alicia Cargile- So in a recent interview Stewart's mom said that she thought her daughter's new girlfriend was "a lovely girl" and she totally supports Kristin's relationship with her. It wasn't really a big deal. Idk if its that shocking that Kristin Stewart is bisexual... makes sense to me. Whats even less shocking is that Alicia is her personal assistant, and Stewart is kind of known for workplace relationships... lets not forget Twilight and Snow White and The Huntsman...
Just kidding. Let's forget those, that was an embarrassing scandal in Kristin's life... that she got in trouble for more than she should have... she should have been in trouble because those movies were terrible! But thats beside the point lol. Point is she's happy and her mom is cool with it and thats good!
2) Did Bachelorette contestant leak who got the final rose?- Some Bachelorette spoilers here... but are they really cause we don't know for certain what happens... but a big clue was leaked on snapchat.
So Kaitlyn Bristowe posted a pic on snapchat where she appeared to be in bed with (SPOILERS COMING) Shawn Booth aka Shawn B aka Ryan Gosling aka The Hot One. The pics were deleted... no one has said anything about them existing, even though there were screenshots of it and no one is really allowed to speak about it.
In my mind... Shawn is the hot one and she seems to have good chemistry with him and I think she really likes him... so it doesn't surprise me that he's the one she picks... it does surprise me that this got leaked... pretty badly. After watching UnREAL... I wonder if this was on purpose. It seems kind of dumb to leak a snap of who you end up with when the internet is the internet. I wonder if she was pissed off at some aspect of the show, or if someone else was and leaked the pic or something... this seems too convenient to be an accident. Someone wanted this out there. Unless Kaitlyn is as dumb as all the guys keep calling her... which I doubt. Sooo... yeah. That is kind of what I think about that.
3) Everyone is Freaking Out about Ruby Rose- I don't get it. I mean she's hot and her body be bangin... but I totally don't get it. Her character really annoyed me and was still bad for Piper!
Okay so Orange is the New Black released a new season and there's a new love interest for Piper. A girl named Stella who is played by Australian Model Ruby Rose. And people are recognizing "wow she's super hot." And people in Australia are like "duh. We know already." And there was a buzzfeed article obsessing over her and then another Buzzfeed Article that said the queer community is kind of annoyed by girls that think they're gay just because of Ruby Rose... which is what I kind of thought would happen.
Its okay to think Ruby Rose is gorgeous. Its okay if you actually are gay and Ruby Rose helped you realize that. Its okay if you're straight and you don't mind looking at Ruby Rose... but really you aren't going to be gay for just one person. It isn't a choice. I can't explain it very well as a straight girl I guess... but I know it isn't a choice.
I really don't think anyone is trying to harm anyone by saying "I'm gay for Ruby Rose." They're clearly straight girls that also don't understand the struggles and don't realize its a little insensitive to say things like that.
But also are people that surprised by it? Wasn't everyone flipping out over how hot Alex Vausse was when the show started? Are people not gay for just her anymore? Now they choose to be gay for 2 people? They must clearly be gay now! I'm being satirical here, but I'm sure you guys get my point. They cast hot girls for a reason, who doesn't like hot girls?
Ruby Rose is a beautiful human being, and I'm sure she'll respond to all the questioning about her in the coolest way possible. I didn't like her character, but also did not mind looking at her.
4) Donald Trump and Jeb Bush Running For President- This is actually a pretty insane week...
I'm not really going to get into politics on this blog... but I will make fun of anyone currently running for president, regardless of whether or not I'm going to vote for them... I can tell you I will not vote for Donald Trump... and Probably not Jeb Bush Either.
Jeb Bush probably isn't the worst candidate... he seems okay, but his logo has an exclamation point... so it looks like a new fast food chain...
Donald Trump is running on the grounds to keep America racist and sexist. One of his big issues is illegal immigrants who he mentions were a lot of rapists and criminals... errr no they aren't. I'm pretty sure there are lots of white men that are criminals, murderers and rapists... but if you want to be racist okay... He also says we should continue to improve relations with European immigrants... so immigration is okay for white people... but no one else. Nice job Trump!
Also one of his quotes against Hillary I believe was "how is she supposed to satisfy a country when she can't even satisfy her own husband." Yes, lets blame women for getting cheated on. Its all our dumb faults isn't it? No. I think this is the stupidest quote. A country is nothing like a marriage... plus who says he wasn't satisfied? He could be satisfied and still want to get some strange? Thats not really our business. Do you think every other president was really satisfying their wives? No. And they never mention that for men so... sexist.
Also I particularly hate Donald Trump because there are pictures of his son standing next to the trunk of an elephant that he slaughtered while on the trip... so yeah. His son kills elephants and takes pride in it. If you can't raise a decent human being, how do you expect to control a country?
5) Taylor Swift wears a backwards harness and its "fashion"- So some photos surfaced of Taylor Swift lookin real cool... but she was wearing something... a little odd. Because it was a harness. And not only was she wearing a harness... it was on backwards. Thats right. So if she had to go bungee jumping or something, all she'd have to do is turn her harness around and then she'd be good to go. She's so adventurous and trendy and cool.
Actually I believe harnesses have been in style for a little bit now. Kallel Kitten posted a haul video where she was buying more "bondage inspired" outfits and I think she had a harness or a harness type of thing in there... I will rewatch if its still up cause I think thats pretty cool if she predicted this trend.
I think its stupid... but Taylor be rockin it, so... its kinda cool. I think people will probably go crazy over this and spend wayy to much money on these soon.
6) Rachel Dolezal- This is a complicated story... I think at least. The leader of the Spokane NAACP recently stepped down from her office because it was discovered that she was white... although she was posing as a black person. I just wrote a whole opinion thing on this which I deleted because... this isn't really that type of blog. I could go on and on about this... I had a couple of more opinion posts about this... but I deleted it. Lol. There was a lit class I took about Race and I would really wonder what the class discussion would be like... that would be cool.
7) A Woman to be on the $10 bill- Maybe they should make it an 80cent coin instead and actually pay women to end the wage gap... Thats what I think this is trying to distract us from. Maybe I'll write a letter about that!
8) Laverne Cox is getting her own Ice Cream Flavor- An organic Ice Cream company based in California is celebrating pride week with lots of yummy sounding flavors. The most interesting to me? Laverne Cox's Chocolate Orange is The New Black. Its a chocolate orange flavor lol. I think this is cool, a lot of food companies are doing similar things, but I like Laverne Cox a lot, so I think this is pretty cool. She also recently reached out to a 5 year old transgendered kid. I don't remember if the child was a boy or a girl... didn't read the article... probably should have before typing this... but Laverne Cox helps a lot and I like Ice Cream and Orange is The New Black... so That would be fun to binge eat and binge watch at the same time! Lol. The name of the flavors were all really punny too.
9) Inside Out Breaks records for Original Movie- This is kind of cool. Inside Out broke the record for highest weekend box office for an original movie. Usually sequels are very highly rated... as you probably know. Lol. Fast and Furious, Avengers... theres another one that just came out that I'm totally forgetting and its huge... but yeah. Its cool to see an original movie actually making bank compared to all the sequels! Plus it looks really original, all the voice actors are really funny. It sounds like they really worked to make this movie original and entertaining for kids and adults. I'm excited about it. I can't wait to see it!
