Life Scribble- Golden Globes Night (1/12/14)

So I just did something like this, where I write something but I won't post it until later when I have nothing to write... but this one will be a little bit different because its a bit more meaningful and I'm likely to post this first.

Today at work I signed 3 people up for our store's credit card, which is good for the store and we were having some contests so "I won major awards" for it. Meaning I won an iced coffee, a hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works and some candy... and that was super awesome and it seemed like that would be the most exciting award I would ever get for work.

Then I watched the Golden Globes. I was just kind of watching for Amy Poehler and Tina Fey who were hosting... I don't usually pay attention to award shows like that because no one I ever like wins. Parks and Rec has never won an emmy for anything I don't think. Or a Golden Globe. It usually always go to 30 Rock (which is no longer on) and Modern Family (which has been stinky the past few seasons) and some other deserving shows deserve awards too. Not that I don't like 30 Rock or Modern Family... but Parks and Rec deserves love too.

Well tonight, Amy Poehler actually won. And not only did she win, so did Andy Samberg for Best Actor in a comedy series and Brooklyn 99 for best series...

And now I'm starting to think that someday soon I can win an actual major award for a tv show I actually write. That would be super cool. I think I'm a talented enough writer to write a show similar to Brooklyn 99 or Parks and Rec, and if award voters recognize them, they will surely recognize me :)

I guess I'll post this sometime when I'm feeling down. My future is bright, and I believe that one day, I too will have major awards and it will be an even awesomer night than tonight.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
