Scribbles About Food: New Starbucks Lemon Bar Frap!

Heyyy guys! Exciting news: Starbucks released 6 new Frappucinos and I'm going to have to try them all... but the one that stuck out to me was the Lemon Bar Frap! It seemed the most different to me and I was excited to give this one a try!

So my Starbucks is cooler than yours... lol. No but the Barristas are super nice and really good an mine added extra lemonade... so the one I got had a ton of flavor to it! Also she added graham crackers on top, they didn't have the caramel sugar that was supposed to be on top and the graham cracker made it better in my opinion anyway...

When I first tasted it it tasted like straight up Lemon meringue pie. It was so amazing! The lemon flavor was really good and it tasted pretty much like I expected it to taste. Which is something like Chick Fil A's Lemon Meringue Pie. I no longer support Chick Fil A... but this was the first experience I had ever had with Lemon Meringue Pie and it was quite tasty. So all lemon Meringue Pies have since been compared to Chick Fil A because that's the first one I had... and none can really compare lol. Except this.

So the first few sips were absolutely out of this world... then I kind of just started drinking it and its not that it was bad... but the more I started drinking it the more it just tasted like lemonade to me. Just like a frozen lemonade. It wasn't bad at all... but it wasn't exactly as Lemon Bar as it was lemonade. If you mix it a little bit and especially mix it with the whipped cream, it keeps the lemon bar flavor a bit more. It tastes absolutely wonderful.

Now is this better than Cool Ranch Doritos... its on par. The flavor sophistication is there. I don't totally know if they're comparable... but yes its better than Cool Ranch Doritos for arguments sake. I drank this today, I didn't eat Cool Ranch Doritos. I am sort of trying to eat less junk and stay healthier, so it was kind of me choosing this instead of cool ranch doritos, and it was a good trade off. I was happy.

What it reminded me of a lot... which makes me incredibly excited for it... years ago Snapple did something called Snapple Pie and they had an Apple Pie flavor... out of this world! It really REALLY tasted like apple pie, but like a really good apple cry. The crust consistency was there, but it worked... it was really good. I loved it and wish they brought it back because it was awesome. This is the closest thing to that that I've tried. This Snapple Pie was made... over 10 years ago. It makes me really happy. I'm happy about that. And yes, I'd say its probably better than Apple Pie Snapple. Soooo... thats even better!

Let me know if you tried this and if you liked it! I would definitely recommend it! Really cool!

Byeee!

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...
