Scribbles About Songs: What Songs Do I Currently Like?

So I did this a while ago... and I'm running out of things to scribble about... lol. Still have yet to watch Aquarius! I know I really want to! But yeah. Anywhere there are some songs I've been liking... so I thought... why not!

Talkin Bodies by Tove Lo- This is a bit of an older one, but I still really find it catchy. I really like Tove Lo. I think she's very talented. I didn't know that this was Tove Lo when I first heard it so that kind of shows how good of a song it is. Its quite catchy. I really like it.

Fight Song by Rachel Platten- This is really good! I kind of thought it was Taylor Swift at first, but it isn't, so I think she's going to be the next Taylor. I was kind of excited when this song came out cause I knew it was going to be big and I know Rachel Platten is going places and I feel like I discovered her... like I discovered Lady Gaga. Lol. Good song!

Jackie and Wilson by Hozier- This isn't one I've been hearing that much on mainstream radio stations like here in Jersey, I listen to 94.3 The Point and Fun 107.1. This I believe they play a lot on Sirius's The Spectrum... which is a station I have a love hate relationship with. They play a lot of really good songs before mainstream Top 40 stations, and they'll play different stuff. They play classic rock and stuff thats popular now... but once a song gets popular and is on those top 40 stations they will stop playing it. They also play the same songs over and over again... so thats kind of bad.

But anyway, besides Radio Politics, I guess there are reasons why stations do what they do, and at one point in time this station probably would have been just my cup of tea... but I'm kinda more into the Top 40 stations now. I like a good mix of pop and... slightly rocky pop. Lol. Its not bad It just isn't my favorite at the time I guess.

Anyway this song Jackie and Wilson is really catchy and feel-goody and its good. I think it'll be a huge hit in the summer.

Ship To Wreck by Florence and the Machines- I like Florence and the Machines a lot... but this song I think is one of my favorites... if not my favorite. Its catchy right? It makes me want to take a long walk in the sunlight. Idk. Florence is always a summeryier band. I dig it!

Shut Up and Dance With Me- Idk who sings this song... you guys probably do lol. Its a pretty popular song... but somehow I still really like it. Its really cute and different. I kinda like that songs like these are getting popular cause these are my kinds of songs right now.

Uma Thurman by Fall Out Boy- The song is called Uma Thurman and it plays the Munster's theme in it and its by my favorite band ever... so yes. This song is my life in a song basically!

Hahaha there are more songs I like... I kinda like the new ones from Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran... but you guys know I love those guys and don't really grow tired of their songs!

Adios!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
